Their technician replaced this spring with the same type (250 lb. x 32 spring), but he indicated that given the weight of the wooden door, a heavier spring should have been installed back in 2022. (A 262 x 40 lb. "High Cycle"). I have written Door Doctor multiple times including certified return receipt to have the proper spring installed, but they have yet to contact me and resolve the issue. After hearing nothing back, I personally followed up by phone and was told Alex would contact me later that same day. Unfortunately, I never received a call or email. At that point, I even reached out directly to Norris, the technician who originally came out to measure my door, because I still had his number from when he called before the appointment. I explained that I was disappointed with the lack of communication, and he responded saying he would have Alex call me. Once again, no one ever followed up. For a project that costs thousands of dollars, communication and follow-through matter. I understand companies get busy, but repeatedly promising callbacks that never happen is frustrating and discouraging as a customer who was ready to move forward. At this point, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
