This is my second time using these guys. The first time in 2022 for a garage door repair which I already posted a review for. They did such a great job in 2022 that when I had another issue with my garage door come up recently I combed through my Yelp reviews to make sure I used the same company. Mr. Gomez and his assistant did an amazing job. They repaired the door spring and realigned my door so it opens and closes very smoothly (and much more quietly!). Wow. Just when you thought personal service was extinct. A father and son company, Javier and Pedro responded quickly to my Hail Mary racked garage door due to a broken cable Yelp request. I sent a few pictures and they provided a quick ETA. And arrived early! Super pleasant and knowledgeable. Provided the band-aid fix for the very old door I needed until I decide on a new door. He said they couldn't do it the following week, and I agreed to wait one more week to get the job done. As the date drew closer, I called to confirm that everything was still on schedule. I had an installation question too. To my surprise, no one responded to calls or text messages. The installation date has come and gone, and I wasted two weeks. Our garage door spring unexpectedly snapped over the weekend and we found ourselves in quite a bind without a functioning garage door. Javier and Pedro were able to come out first thing Monday morning, evaluated our door, and gave us several reasonable options of proceeding. They let us know that though they were more than willing to fix the spring and braces right then, that this would only be a band aid fix and replacing the door would be the better long term option, but at no point pressured us to go with the more costly fix. We ultimately did choose to replace the whole door and they quoted us a very fair price for the replacement and installation of a motor. In fact, we happened to have a general contractor at the house working on things the same day of the install, and he confirmed offhand that the pricing was quite fair, which was great to hear. Great father-son duo at JP's Garage Doors. I made an inquiry through Yelp to a few different garage door companies and Pedro was the first to respond. He asked me for a few photos and gave me a rundown of what to expect to get my garage fixed. The company that installed the garage didn't bolt the plate that holds the spring into the stud and just put it in the plywood resulting in my spring falling and my rubber belt snapping. They got everything taken care of quickly, were very transparent about pricing, and I am extremely happy with their service. They even gave me tips on how to increase the life of my garage door and its moving parts! I reached out to 3 companies total and while they were all nice, Javier from JP's was the straightest shooter and seemed to be the most fair person. He was very informative and explained exactly what they'd do and how they'd do it. I had a rush job to put the posts in and they were able to meet that request, and then when the garage door arrived they contacted me with a day they were coming for installation, showed up on time and completed the work without a hitch! I contacted JP's because my garage door opener had gotten damaged. My preliminary research led me to find out that my current opener was pretty old and speaking to Pedro on the phone he was able to confirm based on my description of the opener. Pedro suggested that I replace/upgrade the existing garage door opener based on the age. He suggested a unit and was able to install it the same day, actually within a few hours of the initial contact on their website. Also, upon arrival they performed a visual inspection of the garage door system and suggested a few additional safety items. They also replaced some components that were defective, old, and/or previously improperly installed. They were very respectful of the property, offered to dispose of the old system, and assisted in the setup of the new Smart Garage door opener. Going in I was expecting to spend a lot more than I did that day. The cost was more than reasonable and to top it it is obvious that they are passionate about garage doors, safety, and over all garage door system "health". Can't go wrong with these guys.
