They charged me $214 just to diagnose my AC unit and told me the problem was a bad capacitor. They then quoted me approximately $300 for the capacitor itself plus $156 in labor to replace it. A replacement capacitor costs only a few dollars online and can be installed in minutes. I declined the repair, purchased the correct capacitor myself, and replaced it. The AC still does not work, which means their diagnosis was incorrect or, at best, incomplete. It feels like this company is more interested in selling expensive repairs than properly diagnosing the actual problem. Paying over $450 to replace a capacitor that wasn't even the issue is unacceptable. I trusted their professional expertise and paid for a diagnostic service, only to receive a wrong diagnosis and a highly inflated repair quote. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing any work from this company. Based on my experience, they care more about maximizing the invoice than providing honest and competent HVAC service. I will be pursuing a refund of the diagnostic fee and filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection agencies if this matter is not resolved.
