I called to get an estimate on a 165 foot fence. The woman answering seemed annoyed that I called and was rude. They ended up not having wooden fencing which is pretty strange. I appreciated that they even answered, which is why I gave three stars. Would not recommend though just based off of the customer service and lack of options for fencing. read more

The team was super helpful. Deer have butted into our fence numerous times, finally cracking a few posts. Over the phone the team identify the pieces we needed, checked stock and had it ready for pickup same day. Friendly, efficient staff, even helping us out with paint to match as we had damaged the finish in a couple spots while disassembling. Great group of folks. A job well done The replacement of wood railings with vinyl railings for your deck is a very expensive project. We looked around and read the reviews for Affordable Fences and Railings and liked what we read. We invited the salesman Mark to our home for an estimate and with the 15% discount they were offering, we felt comfortable signing the contract and giving him a deposit. We waited a couple weeks and our installation was started. The installer, Steve, is a very thorough and meticulous worker. They installed a fence several years ago for me with no issues. Recently the locking mechanism broke. I have been calling them for over two months and can't get a return call. Horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and find another installer. read more

Called them a few months back to do some repair work on a fence they installed. This was not a warranty issue. A guy comes to look at the fence, said it was a minor, "easy fix" and sent an estimate. We sent a check for a down payment, per their instructions. They wasted no time in cashing the check, but we STILL haven't had the fence repaired. Each time we call, it's the same run around..."it's a small job and we'll work you in the schedule". Or you leave a message with "Curtis" and never get a call back. When the original work was done, they send a guy that never had money for lunch, liked to stand around and BS. No wonder the fence is leaning. I'd be very hesitant to recommend them to anyone. read more

Paid to have my old fence removed during the installation, but the installer left behind concrete and pieces of wood from the old fence. Didn't even fill the old holes so now I have to do that. read more

Called them to replace wood fence with a new vinyl one. Set up appointment and they came out on time and that was great. The guy said they will have an estimate in a few days and they will call me. I got a call a week later and they left me a message to call a certain person at an extension. I called her 6 times over a few days and never heard back. I finally called and spoke to someone else at the company and was told that someone would have an estimate for me in 2 days. That was 3 months ago. read more

It took 2 weeks to get a return phone call to set up for an estimate. Saleman called and said he was running late. Then when he got here he rushed. No brochures as promised, and only white fencing available. Was to get a phone call with estimate in 2-3 days. That was a week and a half ago. I got several estimates from major companies. They have the best price and I know they do a good job because I saw a house with nice black fence with their name on it. I was right. I love my black picket fence with beautiful gates. The installer, Pete and his son were wonderful !!! They do a good job!!! read more

I am big on keeping money local whenever possible, and this company made it easy to do so. The only place that could beat them on price was Lowes, and it was by only a little more than $1k. I'll gladly spend a little more to support a locally owned veteran owned business. That said, I will say that the communication issues mentioned in some other reviews are not unfounded. They were quick to get out to estimate, quick to send it, and quick to deposit the down payment. This was all around June 2021. From there, I was told we would be on the schedule for approximately August. That came and went, no one showed up or called. Life has been hectic for all of us, so I actually didn't call about it until October. When I did, they were able to get out within a matter of weeks. The crew, Cam, Joe, Mike, and someone else I can't recall the name of (sorry!), we're professional and hard working. The company also offered some upgrades on gates at no cost. The fence seems to be solidly installed and of fine quality materials. Time will tell, of course. At this point, yes, I'd absolutely recommend Affordable Fence & Rail! read more

I had a black chain link fence installed. Best price by a mile and the quality of the fence and installation exceeded my expectations. Horrible experience with this group. I inquired about replacing and/repairing a fence in July 2017. The guy shows up one hour late due to car trouble, which was fine as he called ahead of time. I have an existing fence and he asked why I wanted to change it (none of his business) and I explained that I had just bought the home and my pets were escaping. He said the fence was too new and they couldn't fix it. That was fine too so I asked for an estimate for a new fence. The guy proceeded to tell me that it was a waste of my money. Again, none of his business. He asked what kind of dog do I have and said it was a cat, not a dog. He then pushed his hat upon his head, squeezed his temples and said "I came out here for a cat?". I told him sorry for wasting both of our time and he could leave. The office called the following day and declined the job. I let them know I would never hire them anyway after he was so rude. read more
