What a nightmare!…read more Century roofing replaced our roof after hurricane Milton, and destroyed our home due to their poor workmanship and complete lack of accountability to repair properly. Our roof was "completed" on January 4, 2025 and immediately started collecting pools of water under the roofing material. We contracted for a modified bitumen flat roof replacement with a hard 3/8" silicone protective coating. That style roof is tightly bonded to the underlying hard material. What they installed, without our knowledge nor consent, was a loose plastic sheeting that was poorly attached at the edges with a thin 3/4" flashing and sealed with acrylic caulking. none of that would have passed a building inspection. Did I mention that they never pulled a permit, as required by law? Well the acrylic caulking melted away on the first warm day (which is almost any day in Florida). Water constantly built up under the cheap plastic roofing material and we could feel waves whenever we walked on it. The expensive silicone coating that was to harden more than concrete within six months, never bonded and crumbled like sand to the touch. Our home interior became unusable for months due to ceiling collapse, water damage and mold. it smelled horrible for months. We reported the problem immediately, and often until October, when we realized that they would never repair it. They had sent people to randomly caulk areas to "fix" the leak, even though it was apparent that the entire seal was faulty and that the materials under the cheap plastic were full of water and mold. One time, the home office sent a crew to replace one piece of underpayment, which they did while completely ignoring that all of the surrounding wood and materials b egg low the plastic were very wet and moldy. The owner himself even came out and declared the roof to be dry and properly installed. we have videos from before and after his visit showing puddles of water below the cheap plastic material. We never once went onto our roof from January until October without feeling those puddles under our feet. Iur flat roof is actually our terrace that we use regular. it was clear that their repairs were never going to fix the problem and our home would remain unusable until we hired someone to replace their work in the flat roof. Both areas of flat roof needed to be completely removed and started from scratch. So we had to pay another roofer to do that. A few days after the owner of Century declared the roof good, the new roofer pulled it up and found 80% of the wood was rotten due to water damage and mold. None of the industry standard methods of sealing the roof had been performed. Just short cut after short cut. We also had to pay another contractor to remediate the water damage and mold throughout the interior of the house that all came from the century roofing installation. We had just redone the interior earlier in the year after hurricane Milton, so everything was good before the horrible roof from century destroyed it. I wish that I could say something positive about Century Roofing, but I had to pay to replace my roof twice plus several thousand dollars more to remediate the damage caused by their poor workmanship and defective construction.

I was having…read moreconstruction done on my home, and the moving of some walls created several unforeseen roofing leaks.. Owner said he'd come out and take a look to see if it could be repaired or replaced.. He sent out a repair guy who said there was "absolutely no reason" to go with the company (who showed up at the same time) and gave a quote on a complete new roof.. he could fix the issue. Since we were in the middle of a remodel, time and money were issues and we decided to go with them and the repair even though a new roof wasn't going to cost that much more. Well, the fix didn't fix the problem and they've been out now a total of 3 times.. Andy the owner came out after call #2 and said that he wouldn't reshingle the roof, but instead put up a much more expensive modified roof on my home because of the pitch.. He was the only roofer to say this, and this is where my feelings towards the company turned sour.. Because if he would have come out to view the house, like he said he would, PRIOR to the repair, during inspection and said this, i could have saved the almost 2k i paid for the repair and instead only paid another 1.5k for a new roof!! He then, after the second leak, said he'd be out personally to completely the 3rd repair on it.. He didn't come out, the same guy who was fixing it originally did.. Nothing against the guy who completed the repairs, but its 2 stars, because had i have been told up front they wouldn't reshingle the roof, or not have been told this would absolutely fix the problem, i would have just went ahead with a new roof from a competing company.. I'm not sure if the repairs have actually taken this time.. but, after a complete remodel of the interior i'm left with a patchy looking roof and a worry every time it rains. Therefor, i can't in any good conscious recommend this company.

The aggressive manner in which it was used described below has been cracking, peeling, and forming chalk dust substance because of bad excessive application! The molecular structure changes to a very dangerous respirable dust that is not only dangerous but can cause life threatening complications when inhaled. Beware!!!! If I could give this company a zero I would. They took advantage of my parents in their 80s. Last October they trusted and used this company to put all new ductwork in to their home. The duct work was all new and these men decided put thick layers of mastic all over the inside of the ac system from inside the junction boxes, to all over the supply plenum, to the entire return box, all over the boot- so much so that the fins for the registrar are stuck in place with gobs of mastic. For weeks after installment pieces of this large mastic was coming down. Extremely toxic to breath in dust form and instead of taking accountability for a workmanship malfunction that we were all breathing, they sold my parents a halo device and denied any relation to the mastic. The recommended doing more work and replacement, more money! Now we have cracking mastic in dust form entering the home and it's making us all sick. This product when dried and crumbling is like breathing cement dust. We are all deterioting for this complete disregard for human life and they have never returned to even try to help the problem much less care about our health with such a careless process after making money hand over fist on my family. It's on our clothing, in the air we breathe, in our stomach , on our skin. We don't even know if they worked on a home with asbestos, black mold, etc and used this same bucket of mastic from that kind of job - to the. do overkill on brand new duct work that didn't need it. We are all increasingly getting sicker and sicker as we actively see all of this cracking, peeling, and dispersing all through what is supposed to be to be our fresh air. At any given time we cough blood and find ourselves in severe pain. I myself have been to the er countless time with respiratory distress from inhaling all of this. They also knocked over the dryer vent in the attic to the roof while replacing duct work and that was left like that for months until we had them return because of said complaints above - they tried to blame it on a man that is extremely professional that cleaned the dryer vent months prior to them even coming out or meeting us. This man has a picture of how he left everything intact and connected. These guys will blame anyone and anything for the damage they have created. These men are should be out of business for what they have done and be held responsible for all health damages they created. Stay away from this company at all costs. My family is suffering because of the poor workmanship and in proper over use of thick mastic (overkill) everywhere - that never cured properly. Take precaustion and don't use this company! We are suffering a tremendous cost (our health) at the hands of these people. These people have ruined our quality of life, the safety of our home, and this is no small issue. I can't stress enough that you will be sorry for using them and the lasting effects it could have on your breathing and health. We have had the dust that is coming down constantly tested and it's 100% dried mastic from what they did. It's shameful.this is just little glimpse of what we are breathing everyday. It's criminal. I paid close to $7,000 for this job, expecting peace of mind. Less than one year later, my roof is already leaking, and I now have damage inside my home. A man did come out to inspect the roof and confirmed that the roof was still damaged and said they would "do something about it." That was over two months ago, and since then, I have heard nothing. I have called multiple times and tried reaching an employee named Natasha, but she is always "in a meeting" or unavailable. At this point, no one is returning my calls, and I feel completely ignored. This is not fair or professional, especially when the work is clearly under warranty. I trusted this company and paid a large amount of money, and now I am left with a leaking roof and interior damage.
