Steve replaced the control cables on my Yamaha outboard. Good prices and great service. Will definitely use again.

Simply put, if you own a boat, you need Jerry…read more Based on other Yelp reviews - I gave Jerry a call requesting service on my boat. With a few details about make/model & what I needed done - he provided me with a preliminary quote over the phone. He added me to the schedule for 4 days later. Showed up when we agreed & got right to work. When doing that initial work, I asked him to check out some other possible aging parts (my boat is old) & he suggested new spark plugs & distributor cap/rotors. He came back a few days later & got that all done as well. I wasn't there for "part 2" but he sent plenty of photos of the old parts & how they'd worn to confirm (a) he did the work & (b) to indicate it was the correct advice to replace some aging parts. Other great part about Jerry is that he doesn't keep a warehouse of parts. He'll tell you exactly what you need & suggest affordable places to get it. So there's no mark-up on the supplies. If you want to get high-end stuff - that's on you...he'll still suggest Walmart or Amazon for the best price. Lastly - he'll come to you...no need to bring your boat to him. This is especially important for me...we don't own a trailer at all.

I placed an order on…read moreline for a stainless prop for my boat and I ordered the same diameter and pitch as my boat's old aluminum prop. That turned out to be a big mistake. Even though the diameter and pitch were identical, the newer stainless prop geometry and blade cup was a bit too much for my 1973 Evinrude 85HP outboard. Unfortunately, I placed my on-line order for a prop before speaking with JT. After my outboard was not coming to WOT RPMs with the new prop, I called and talked to JT. Without going through all of the details, allow me to say that JT was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He guided me in the correct direction and sent me a stainless prop that performed exactly the way he said it would. At first I did not want to try the prop he sent but JT urged me to try it. Ha! The engine ran right in the zone and my hole shot was amazing. I never should have doubted him. I would like to extend a big thank you to JT and Nettle Props. Customer service, honesty and product knowledge are the factors that make a business successful. You'll find all of those attributes at Nettle Props.

We told them we needed it in 20 days or so for a trip. They apparently replaced a lot of parts on the generator but couldn't get it to work before we had to leave for our trip. So who knows whether those parts were necessary. They didn't even start working on the inspection or replacing missing bulbs until the last possible day. They said it was ready to pick up but when we got there, it wasn't. They had just done the inspection and were replacing lights. They identified several things that would have been good to fix, but they didn't have the ability to fix them. It would have been nice if they told us these issues with enough time to take the RV elsewhere to get fixed. They had us waiting at their shop for 2 hours, even until after close, while they finished working on lights. As we sat there patiently but getting increasingly perturbed, they eventually gave us a Bass Pro Shop giftcard and said they hoped we'd leave them a good review. The next morning when we set off for our trip, we no longer had interior battery power at all, and would continue to have no battery power until we finally got it fixed at a competitor. That meant no interior lights at all while we drove. We paid Shoreline over $2000 and basically all we had to show for it was a few fixed exterior lights, and few new generator parts for a generator that still didn't run, and a broken electrical system for our cross-country trip. Epic waste of money. Instead of bribing customers with a $25 Bass Pro Shop card, they should try improving their service, hiring mechanics who can fix generators (or declining to work on them), and not waiting until the very last hours to do a job. We will not be going back and have luckily found another place to take our RV for service.
