But I'm here to review Schrader propane, its great service and the old fella who showed up in a bobtail to service my tank was the most knowledgable propane professional I ever did meet, his name was John and he was a helluva dude and a great bobtail driver, he answered every single one of my questions in depth and even dropped a ton of knowledge on me about propane that I had no idea about. The drivers are always very friendly and I like the fact that they respect our property. They walk to our door to double check where to park and verify how many gallons of propane we would like. We've used other propane places before we found Stone and we've never been treated with the great customer service that Stone Oil offers. We've NEVER had a problem or issue with Stone Oil. Great prices, great customer service, and all around great people. You can't go wrong with Stone Oil.

I saw that almost every review was 5 stars. There was one person who gave them a 1 star and I know after being in business for over 30 years there is always that one person. So I called ahead to see if there was anything special that I needed to bring with me. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She said that when I got to the location they would set me up. When I arrived it was busy. The young lady working there was working with one customer filling his tanks and another was just ahead of me. When it was my turn she walked me through what I would need (new adaptors so I could use my RV's current hook ups and regulator). She was very helpful and pleasant. She kept everyone in order and was on top of it. I told her that I pick this place because of the reviews and she said that she was proud of doing a good job. She also mentioned the negative review that was posted and said the guy never came to her location. He mentioned the receptionist as being rude and there is no receptionist on sight. Just her and the 2 awesome dogs in the office. Anyway I had an amazing first experience at Affordable Propane from the first call to getting my 2 tanks filled. The price was 1/2 of what I would hav3e paid at the other locations I called. So although the reviews were better I also came for the price as well. It was a win win and I will be back.

They took a look…read moreat the tank and the under-carriage mounting and said it was an illegal setup per Colorado law and they couldn't legally refill it for me. (The van's customization was done in Texas.) The owner himself came out to talk with me and talked me through his idea for a solution. He quoted me what I thought was a very reasonable price and they completed the work in a few hours. He gave me a thorough rundown on how the new system worked and things to look out for. I was completely happy with the whole experience.

Better and Cheaper than exchanging tanks…read more I've used Propane Shack for about 10 years. The LP costs less here per gallon than at the exchange places like King Sooper, etc. And the tank gets filled to the legal limit. Just compare the weight of an exchanged tank to a tank that you fill here. That difference is significant and it means a longer time before refilling. The service here is excellent and half the time there's a line but these guys are fast! I've never had a long wait. Make sure to get your card punched! Pay less for a fuller tank! What's not to like?

Regarding other people's complaints, you have to remember that when you are in the mountains, things don't always happen as fast as you might have been used to elsewhere. Running an efficient and cost-effective business sometimes may mean putting orders together in a batch to save on trips.
