They were always on time, very competitive in pricing and cleaned up entirely when done. I even feel as if they replaced more rotted wood then was originally quoted at no additional charge. I give them a perfect 10 from the original quote to the job completion. My daughter and her mother in law plan on hiring them for their new roof replacement next year. Long story short that…read moreI can't explain very well anyway, my roof was made of outdated materials that he couldn't remember the name of (so, I can't research it on my own, now) and he was pretty sure it was no longer available. He was also pretty sure "the owner" wouldn't take the job for that reason. However, he said he needed about 4 days to get back to me so he could research its availability. I called 5 days later and left a message. Now it's a week and I still haven't heard back. Can't speak about their work but I can speak to their level of professionalism: Poor. One more thing. Although we both wore masks, he used his as a chin guard once he was on the roof. I guess it wouldn't occur to him that aerosols from his nose could have been raining down on me. I stepped further away, but typically, it's hard to hear me when I'm wearing a mask as I tend to wear extra layers.

We got a couple of estimates and Earl Johnston was in the middle. I liked the warranty that the manufacturer offered and having used them in the past made it an easy decision. They have a pamphlet you can look at to select the color of shingles that you would like, in addition to giving you some addresses where they've installed the color so that you can see the color on a house to get a better idea of what it would look like. There was a long delay before the new roof was installed, through no fault of Earl Johnston. The delay was with the city approving the permit. Once the permit was approved, everything went quickly and the new roof was installed within the week. They had a demo crew & installation crew who were good about keeping you informed of what they were going to do. They took TONS of pictures during demo showing you how the tar paper was placed and rotten wood that was being replaced. They covered the lawn with some type of covering so that pretty much all of the debris fell on that rather than all over my mother's yard. They even cleaned up after themselves after the job was done! I'm glad that I don't have to worry about my mother having another roof leak and am very happy with the work that was done.

Repair was completed on the 5 of December. Raised concerns about such a short warantee period particularly now that we are in the dry season. Representative assured me this would be no issue as she understood. Guess what 7TH April had a thunderstorm and it poured and the repair spot leaked. I called the roofer who did the job and informed him of my leak. He advised me to contact the person who I guess is the one who does all the paper work. From the date of the leak to this date I have been unable to contact her, and the roofer who did the repair, does not answer his phone. Guess this operation only does work where they are going to get paid. Recalls for rectification I guess they don't do that. I paid in the thousands for the repair, and now is have do it all over again.

Let me see, where do I start? I have read the other reviews…read moreand am glad they did a good job on single family homes. However I have a different story, this was a 4 story build. There were multiple issues, A wheel barrel thrown off the roof of the 4 story build. Tar got into the ac condensate line that 3 of the 4 units had to have the walls cut open and the pipe changed out. On the first floor we had to have the foundation of the residents patio dug up to get the condensate line replace under the patio. Rocky said it was not them. They also closed off one of the mansard hatches on the roof. Their office could not get the invoices correct they had the build numbers and invoices missed matched, and after I sent them copies of the invoices they sent us and gave them a copies of the checks we sent to them their office still could not comprehend the invoice was paid, they even threatened going to court, I was ready as I had all my paperwork in order (it never went to court), I even offered to go to the office and help them out. There were a total of 4 buildings that were 4 stories that were contracted with Rocky to re-roof. There were 2 fires that got out of hand from the tar pot and the fire department had to be called. Im glad that the people that hired this company for a single family house we satisfied However I would not recommend this company for anything over a single story. Do your homework.
