When I walked into Affordable Solutions, I was SHOCKED at what I saw. The location was previously a liquor store that was humid and sticky and had a vibe that made you want to get out as fast as you could. Now, you walk in and are greeted with cool air and the fresh smell of new furniture. The store is full of beautiful home furnishings and an incredible staff. I came in with a set of Hunter Douglas blinds that the motor had gone out on. I was thrilled to hear that they could repair the blinds and was even more thrilled with how quickly they did it. Their prices were also incredibly competitive. I worked with 3 different staff members during my experience and every single one was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to help me. They even gave me tips on how to keep the blinds from breaking (which was very helpful, as my house is full of more Hunter Douglas blinds). They also provided a year warranty on the blinds they repaired, just in case. So their saleslady came out to my house, very friendly and spent close to two hours showing me samples for roller shades and cellular shades. They focus on Hunter Douglas, but also include Comfortex and Alta which is now owned by Hunter Douglas. We discussed motorization and smart home integration. I asked how long to get an estimate, and she said it would be emailed that day. About four days later, I called the office to find out why I didn't get an estimate. Yes, obviously I checked my junk mail before calling. I gave them the correct spelling of my email again and was told it would be sent. It never was, so I went with a competitor. read more

Although I received an email from the provider selecting the appointment, per the receptionist it never made its way to the actual books. 2+ hours wasted. The problem I had with Affordable Blind Solutions did not have anything to do with the value of their product -- or, their initial response when scheduling my first appointment. The problem I had was with their sales consultant not being reliable. Our first appointment went well ----- I choose the product I wanted and she measured my windows and wrote up an estimate. We scheduled another appointment to meet at my house to solidify my choices and for me to sign the contract. She never showed up for our scheduled appointment. When I called to find out why she didn't show for out appointment I was told me she thought I was going to meet her at the show room and that they would have her call me. She never did call me and instead that evening sent me a 'snarky' text saying we had a miscommunication. Okay -- I let that go -- it was the weekend so I sent her a text to let her know that I would call her on Monday to reschedule an appointment. On Monday afternoon I called her and was able to reach her although she wasn't in the showroom. We had a pleasant conversation and she told me that she was would be in the showroom all the next day ----and that she had an appointment first thing in the morning -- but thought it wouldn't take that long -- and that she would call me around 10:00 a.m. Well, 10:00 a.m comes and goes and I don't hear from her -- so I send her a text to set-up a Thursday or Friday appointment --- and, I don't get an answer from her until 6:24 pm and she leaves me a voicemail stating that she had been out on appointments all day. What? Didn't she tell me she was going to be in the showroom all day --- I have all this recorded and I've saved my texts so I know that I'm not imagining things. Well -- that was it --- so I sent her a text basically stating that we really couldn't work together but that I wished her the best. She never responded to that text although it was not all accusatory or mean in any way. My husband and sister are sales reps and they couldn't believe she never answered my text --- even just to say that she hoped that somehow she could make it right or something --- nothing. I was told by friends and family that I should have called her Manager or the Owner because they probably wouldn't be happy about losing a sale. Maybe they wouldn't care -- I don't know -- I didn't call anyone and suffice to say good luck working with this particular sales rep. Just as an aside -- this company did my window coverings years ago and I was very happy with them --- that's why I called them rather than other companies ----such as 3 day Blinds who were actually having sales promotions. read more

Total cost delivered and installed was what other another place quoted us just for the product. They made it quick simple and really affordable and I never left my house which was great. read more
