Everything was clean, no dust and no cluttered vibe, and they had such a large selection that you almost needed to do three rounds to take everything in. The prices were great, the service was upbeat, and we loved their dog gift section. We decided if they had a location near us we would probably be there every weekend. All in all, Placerville True Value Hardware is a definite must visit and not to be missed.

He was pleasantly surprised when he walked into True Value today with his chainsaw and Joe, knowing we didn't but it there, fixed it on the spot for FREE! Tried it out and instantly realized it was the wrong head for my whacker. Took it back the same day, with the receipt, and found the correct size head on a side aisle. Tried to return the wrong head and buy the more expensive correct head, but they would not let me return the wrong size head because it was used for 60 seconds. You can argue that I should have made sure it was the correct size, but the big box stores don't care if you use a product that does not work out. And True Value's prices are high enough that they should be willing to absorb the cost of my barely-used whacker head since I was obviously buying a more expensive head. I will not shop here ever again. Their return policy stinks.
