It took all of 20 minutes and he did not rip me off for doing this on the spot! He exceeded my expectations and saved me valuable time in not coming back for it the next day. What I like about this printer is that they have the ability to give you estimates of how much you are , expecting to pay, they give you options when it comes to print style and design, and they are very upfront and honest with you about outcomes of your project. You can do all of this on email with them before you even have to visit the store. When you visit the store, you've already sent your print job to them on email. You just might need to drop by to drop off materials like specialty invitations, which was our project this time. I appreciate that Ken verified and sent proofs of our printing job on email for us to have a look at before we approved the final project version. When I came in a few days ago, they told me they couldn't scan the code, printed the shipping label themselves, and then charged me for it without mentioning there would be a fee beforehand. I don't understand why customers are being charged for a service that is normally free, especially when the issue is that the store's equipment isn't working. If there was going to be a charge, that should have been clearly communicated before printing the label. Very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back.

This also means that businesses that support said storage media are also on that same road. So it was with some concern that I came across a first edition of Following the Equator (1895) - while the pages were in excellent condition, the spine was, to be kind, trashed. So I set about finding a rebinding solution - and discovered that the businesses close to me that offered this service are no longer in business (see first paragraph). A bit further out was SD Bookbinding. I read through the reviews and, while most were positive, a few people called out the rudeness of the owner. But....beggars can't be choosers - so I called up, talked to the owner (Don), and with address in hand, drove down to El Cajon. I talked with him for a few minutes - he showed me the issues with the book, as well as what was great about it. He then explained what he'd do to resolve the issue, gave me a fair price, and a time frame. A few days inside said time frame, he gave me a call and let me know it was ready to go. I drove down, and he walked me through the process of what he'd done, and showed off the end result - which was, frankly, stunning. I found Don to be cordial, FULL of knowledge, fair, and incredibly talented - so yeah, I highly recommend him to those who actually still read analog storage media AND have older books that need some TLC.

It's super hard to find an office supply anymore! This location is close so I stopped by…read more I needed acrylic stands for signs, they had 4 boxes so I grabbed them. I got home and 1 box was used all scratched up and instead of 4 stands inside the box someone swapped out a different sign inside. This was frustrating because it meant another trip to the store. They really need to check when people return items and not restock it at full price $29.99. I understand it's not the fault of the people who work there but they really need to check returns. Because this is a waste of time & gas for anyone. My first trip out was great the workers were very helpful and it was a fast check out. The return trip took so long, only 1 cashier and 5 people in line and 4 of them were returns, and it took a lot longer not sure why ‍. The cashier didn't really care why I brought it back but did mark it with a sticker that read damaged sold as is (or something to that effect). So they were clearly putting it back on the shelf. The store isn't well stocked or maybe just sold out (I'm not sure). It was clean and orderly not didn't really have enough stock on what I needed.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent printing order. 6/18/2026…read more I spent a significant amount of time preparing and submitting my banner and business card files for production, only to arrive for pickup and discover that the order had not even been submitted or started. They require that you pay upfront for all services prior , in which I did . No one notified me of any issues , leaving me completely unprepared for an important event this Saturday. This situation has caused me considerable inconvenience, wasted valuable time, and created unnecessary stress. I rearranged my schedule, invested hours in preparing the artwork, and relied on your company to complete the project. As I arrived for pick up , the representative states he was just left these projects to do and was not comfortable in handling the job as he hasn't performed those service in awhile , so nothing was done. The manager console the representative by saying this is not your fault... What.. not his fault, then who fault was it ?? Management canceled the job and I, was refunded the cost of the services. I felt helpless and disregarded.  Nothing can make up for the this grave dropping of the ball. I asked several times to make it right and was answered with , "The Job would not be completed today", to come back the next day there would be someone more knowledgeable to help me.  At first I was willing to do just that as I did not want to loose all the work I've done, but quickly remembered, I was to be up North for the most part of the day if not all of the day. The manager did apologize for the situation as he was refunding my money. However, it would have been nice to have been offered to make it right by still completing the job at hand . I will no longer be using your company for  such important and time sensitive projects in the future. Totally unacceptable.

Just witnessed Peak Entitlement™ at the FedEx copy center…read more I'm calmly getting help from one of the clerks when this woman materializes behind me, immediately heavy-sighing like she's been stranded there for 47 business days. She'd been there all of a hot minute. ONE minute. Yet somehow the inconvenience was just radiating off her irritated face. Instead of walking up to the counter like a functioning adult, she starts talking directly to the clerk who is actively helping me. Bold strategy. I slowly turn and give her the kind of glare that, in my imagination, shoots laser beams. Sadly, only in my imagination. She doesn't get instant royal treatment, so she wobbles up to the counter, to a register that is not even open -- fully ignoring the fact that there is a line -- and demands to be helped. Ma'am. Everyone here is clearly busy. This is not a private concierge service. Eventually a clerk goes to assist her and directs her to drop her picture into one of the input trays... which just so happens to be attached to MY printer station. She barges right into my space without a single "excuse me," "sorry," or "can I just sneak by?" Nothing. Not even eye contact. Just pure bulldoze energy. I immediately comment, "YIKES," and snatch up my tax documents before she brushes against them and sends my entire financial life onto the floor. Lousy lady with no sense of personal space. Zero common courtesy. Zero situational awareness. Just aggressive impatience wrapped in entitlement. She continues acting annoyed while being actively helped. I'm watching her like... does she hear herself? Does she see herself? Because it's giving toddler-in-a-grown-huge soggy body demanding to be helped while others are waiting patiently in line My clerk, sweet angel that he is, thanks me for being patient. And I say -- loudly enough -- "Of course. You guys are busy. Patience is a virtue. I can't just walk in expecting everyone to drop everything for me." When she finally left, I told him, "God bless you all for your patience dealing with... that." They handled her with way more grace than I would have. I would have threw her sh@t out of that place and told her to get the hell out Anyway. Glad I won't have to see any more inconsiderate blobs of Santee today. The whole interaction gave me enough rage-fuel to power a small city, so now I'm off to burn it off at the gym and prevent myself from turning into an ugly impatient and inconsiderate low class person like that fat lady. Huge kudos to the young employees who continued to remain calm with this moron and continued to be respectful. That was great customer service. Look people, don't go to the store and expect service in a heartbeat. Even though it didn't "appear busy", these guys were all working and moving packages, scanning, multi tasking. Here's some advice for all you entitled Karen's and Kevins.... don't go anywhere acting like you're in a big hurry and expect everyone to hop skip and jump for you. Get out of the garbage cans and learn how to treat people in the costumer service department with respect. I would absolutely not be surprised at why this person might have lashed out, with what I witnessed today with that inconsiderate nasty lady today spewing all kinds of negative energy....
