This is honestly one of the worst drop-off locations I've ever used. Their QR code scanner is constantly broken, even though QR code drop-offs are supposed to be a free service. When I came in a few days ago, they told me they couldn't scan the code, printed the shipping label themselves, and then charged me for it without mentioning there would be a fee beforehand. I don't understand why customers are being charged for a service that is normally free, especially when the issue is that the store's equipment isn't working. If there was going to be a charge, that should have been clearly communicated before printing the label. Very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back. read more

The staff here is great. We have used this printer since 2018. They have done large orders for us, as well as smaller orders as well. The last time we use the services both times we use Justin as our contact person. He is a great technician and he has a reputation for having great customer service. This time I worked with Ken and he was very customer service oriented as well. What I like about this printer is that they have the ability to give you estimates of how much you are , expecting to pay, they give you options when it comes to print style and design, and they are very upfront and honest with you about outcomes of your project. You can do all of this on email with them before you even have to visit the store. When you visit the store, you've already sent your print job to them on email. You just might need to drop by to drop off materials like specialty invitations, which was our project this time. I appreciate that Ken verified and sent proofs of our printing job on email for us to have a look at before we approved the final project version. Overall, Ken is a great printing technician and expert. His patience with our event team was awesome. The rest of the staff is very customer service oriented too. I procrastinated on getting birthday invitations printed (big surprise) and when I realized they needed to go out immediately, my usual printer in Lemon Grove was closed. I called around and finally spoke with a gentleman at Copy-It who said because the job was small and also black and white, they could get it done for me that day if I was willing to cut them myself. I happily agreed with gratitude and relief. They even let me use their cutter at the shop for nice, straight lines. Super slow, workers kept forgetting about me, and I sat in line for forever. They gave me a quote and then way more for "cutting" even tho i offered to cut it myself. didn't even get the right size a photo out of it, but I gave up because it took too long. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Copy-It was shockingly bad. My wife and I walked in, hoping to get some quick help with buying a couple rolls of stamps, but the employees seemed determined to act like we didn't exist. Despite the store being empty of other customers, not a single employee acknowledged us when we entered the store, and we waited patiently for at least 5 minutes without so much as a "hello" or "we'll be with you shortly." One of the employees at the desk was on a phone call on his cell phone the whole time we were waiting. It wasn't until we finally decided to leave that the employee that was on his phone suddenly noticed us and asked if we needed help--far too little, far too late. He finally put his phone down and even ran out the door to ask us if there's anything we need help with when we were already at our car. By then, the damage was done. If you are able to put your phone down when we are leaving, why can't you put the phone down quickly when we were already there to at least let us know you will be with us shortly? If this is how they treat potential customers, I can't imagine what the service would be like if we actually stayed. If you value your time and want even basic customer service, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. If you just need some stamps, there's a USPS less than 5 minutes away. The service was much better over there despite being much busier. read more

We are really thankful for the thoughtful customer service given to us by Andrea. First over the phone, then by email and in the shop. We had to have a last minute foto enlarged for a Celebration of Life Service for my husband's Mom. So this was a very personal job. Andrea was very kind to help us as was needed at every step. SANDI at the Mailing Services Counter was EXTREMELY Rude & Disrespectful! No Smile or Kindness, Just Anger and Venom. Clearly Hates her job after apparently being fired from the post office and angry she has to now work here. WARNING! AVOID utilizing Mailing Services at COPY IT. They ARE NOT the USPS Post Office at ALL! They just mail things but charge a HUGE surcharge! Sandi told me to mail my small package would be $20. Went to the actual Post office and a very kind woman named Michelle helped me ship it for $12. Postage is already expensive. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE! She gave me my options, quoted me insanely reasonable prices, and had my order ready for me within the next day or two. I have worked with Jason and his team several times now. One thing the business uniquely offers is graphic design services for those who do not have print-ready files. The designers do a great job in creating beautiful layouts with a minimum of direct oversight. The printing itself has an excellent chance of looking good because the file was created with that end in mind. As I live out of town now, it helps that Copy-It ships directly from their facility. Copy-It is a great local business. I used to come here more often in the past for large and small amounts of copies and the prices were comparable to other places nearby, but more importantly they were actually friendly and the customer service is always excellent. The equipment is always working and the staff is efficient, they never give you an attitude about anything. I don't come here as often as I used to because I have one of those efficient printers now that can print up to 7500 pages on one bottle of ink, it was a cool gift actually. I do, however, still come in to utilize the shipping services from time to time. They'll help you out with the packing to make sure that nothing breaks too. They have FedEx and UPS here, as well as the USPS inside. It's a great little known secret that I try to avoid spreading around to keep the lines short for myself when I stop by :-) I have a weird obsession with office supplies so I try to avoid spending time looking them over when I'm here, but they do have some here as well as a notary public service. Copy-It is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:30. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. read more

This is one of those places I thought I already must have reviewed. Then I look and say, What?? I haven't reviewed this yet?? It is small but packed with lots of merchandise. I like their wide variety of pens you can buy just one of. But they used to have a better selection of purple pens. I put my name on their "call me" list for a purple Sharpie and waited for months, but they never did call me. Finally I discovered they sold the dang things at both Michael's and JoAnn's so I wondered what I was waiting for. I also found it was usually hard to get anyone's attention if you had a question or needed help. And they have kind of a Who Cares? attitude when you talk to them. Um, customer service, folks? I'm still giving them 3 stars for just being there so you don't always have to go a box/chain store and buy a multi-pack or mega-pack of an item you just need one of or a few of. read more

Everyone is extremely friendly, listens to what you want done, lists out options & samples, and the prices are beyond reasonable compared to the dreaded Kinkos. They are even willing to help you unlike the ignoring employees of Kinkos/Fed Ex right down the street. Great for large format copies and general office supplies. Plus side, and i believe to be the hidden jewel of the place is the post office that is open Mon-Fri and Saturday until 2pm. They gave us fabulous pricing, suggested some small changes in the image which made a big difference, and had them ready sooner than I imagined. Justin is wonderful and so easy to work with!! I needed thanks to pick up a package that UPS want able to deliver because I wasn't home. The business that was holding it normally closes at 5:30. I made arrangements to leave work at 4:30 so I could make it to La Mesa in time. Of course traffic was extra heavy that day and GPS said I would reach Copy It at approximately 5:40.
