My husband hired them. If I read the reviews first. I would not have let him proceed. They tell you 285 per hour for three men, only send two and then they want you to pay 225 per hour. Then charge you $10 per item to wrap furniture, that was not disclosed prior. They did not try to make things right, you may want to avoid them. If you do hire them, get everything in writing or by text. Also unreliable, they did not show up on time. They said they thought the move was for the following weekend. read more

I had to report Clay and his cronies for theft. Showed up with no moving equipment tools and took 4 hrs with 3 men. I thought he was taking my stuff to a storage but he told us not to follow him and took my stuff to a fenced lot demanding a ransom. he then stated that he would get with me the next day ? he caused severe emotional trauma and stress to my family. Now he is unresponsive. PROCEED WITH CAUTION HE IS A THIEF THAT PREYS ON THE MILITARY, ELDERLY, and UNDERSERVED how dare you do that to my mother!!!! The owner Clayton is a pathological liar, thief, and general all around terrible person. He belongs in prison - not running a business where he rips of people at the expense of his own employees. Yes, I was swindled by Clay... he quoted one price then had his workers complete the move but submitted a new invoice. They spent two days working and they weren't going to get paid if I didn't pay the invoice - so because of the guys doing the work, I paid. I would give them negative stars, if possible. I requested a quote for packing a two bedroom house in Vernon, TX. It's a 40 minute drive from WF. I included in my inquiry that packing was all that was needed and that the house is under 900 sqft. I attached a picture of the quote I received back. $100 for the trip. $190 per hour for three packers with 3 to 8 hours needed for each. $300 for boxes and supplies! They included the loading and transport, which I didn't need. I also stated in the quote that the only rooms needing to be packed down were the kitchen and dining room. The minimum amount was $970!!! The maximum not to exceed $1970!!! I emailed Clayton back and told him they must be crazy! I made sure to include that I'm an AF veteran who has been stationed in WF two different times and I have NEVER been quoted anywhere CLOSE to that price in any location I've ever been stationed!! Seems to me that if they're being contracted to pack/move military service members, they're grossly overcharging the federal government for their services. And, let me remind all those reading, our tax dollars pay for members to PCS. zero stars where do I start first they where 2 hours late or I should say they did not remember I called Clay ask if they where coming boy do I wish they did not show up They did work fast I am not sayin that but 100.00 was stolen from my pruse. When I told Clay all he said was I can't believe that we worked at least 35 jobs and I never had any problems and then when paying said it be a 4 hour job turned into a 7 hr job which came to 1820.00 difference of 840.00 what he said it would be and and nothing more about the money that was taken from but yet he wanted paid in CASH cause he says my card failed so I went to the Bank and got cash out of the account he said where the card failed and paid him and it makes me so mad still I wish I would have keep one of those $100. bills he over charged me any way and I would have got my $100. back so beware !!! read more

These guys maybe the best in town, but could not tell you. I called to make an appointment to get an estimate, he was very polite. The day and time of my appointment no one showed up or called me! When I called 20 later and left a message no one answered. I told them I was waiting for the appointment we made please call me back and they never did. I am a military girl so respecting people's time is #1 in business. I never got a callback. Appointment made on Monday, No-show on Tuesday + no call back and today Friday I called the nice guy to say y'all missed my appointment and no one notified me, I sat at my house. The guy says I know ...... Well I can't get there today I'm busy. I said I don't need you to come by I called to inform you I waited on our missed scheduled appointment is all, goodbye. Now customers service is a must, you mess up you acknowledge and apologize we move past it, but to brush it off, I'm not a fan. So these guys could be the best in town but if they cannot acknowledge standing up clients trying to get a service from them, then I rather not try to pay for a moving company that may not show up and leave me in a pinch is all. read more

Clay told me one price. The movers come in a U-Haul which I didn't understand why since I told Clay I just needed 3 U-Pack Relocubes emptied. Movers had no idea. They thought I guess I was putting into storage. No communication between Clay and movers as to what was needed. Movers handed me the paperwork. I was being charged for the U-Haul, the fuel, the equipment AND because I live on the second floor! Was NEVER told about these extra fees! I went with Clay's company because he "claimed" to be a Christian. He doesn't do his business very Christ like! Got him cancelled and will find someone else. I DO NOT recommend using this company. I was quoted $250/hour for three men. The movers were very slow and damaged my wood floors. Clay told me that he would take care of the floors after a surprise $400 up-charge at the end of the day for the 1 flight of stairs. 9 hours to fill a 10x15 storage unit. Turned moving day into a low hassle day. Movers showed up on time and within two hours had all of the household items on their truck and took another hour at the new location to unload everything. Boxes were treated with care - they even managed to haul a 400lb BXT216 treadmill without damaging the belt. None of my belongings suffered any damage worth mentioning, and since we pre-packed and didn't put a lot of effort into packing, that just shows how the boxes/buckets/furniture were handled during the move. read more

Wish I had reviews before using them! All went well until they unpacked everything. One of the movers stole my Alexa which was upstairs. I was downstairs and alone with no one else at home. They left after about 45 minutes of moving everything in. Still had to pay for the 2 hours even though it was much less time. They left and I realized my Alexa was gone and my 55 inch Samsung tv was broken. Plugged it up and lines running up and down the screen and then just went black. Called Clay Moss, the owner and he said none of his workers steal. Then he said I was scamming him about the t.v. This infuriated me as I am an honest person with no criminal history. Would love to know about the backgrounds of his crew. I am having to replace both items. Pricing to replace my items will be 600.00. Reading through these reviews I am sure I will never get my money but I just want people to beware and not go through this company to move. If I don't get my money I will go to Small Claims Court and proceed from there. read more

Make sure to get the price in writing up front. They are not full time movers no matter how they what they imply. I will give them this, they had to move in a deluge and the apartment I moved into was a nightmare, along with the move itself. Don't ever even consider about using them. I made an appointment more than a week ahead! They just DONT SHOW UP!!! I already put everything in boxes and wrapped everything, even put bed apart! I called at our appt time, his mover said the owner must double booked us, they could come later at 11:30. Then, he called again almost noon saying he's not coming. I am filing a complain against this company with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This company should no longer be in the market if they give false promise, no credibility. Very Happy! Move went smooth thanks to Affordable Texas Movers!

They gave a good price and promised to pack us several days in a row for a LONG move. I called the day before to confirm and got voice mail, so I sent an email. By 8am there was a response that they would be coming. They were supposed to be there at 9ish, some showed at 10 and the rest came around noon and most all left around 2. I mentioned several times that we were promised several days of packing in a row to get it all done. NO one showed the next day, or returned calls, or the next day. WE did a LOT of our own packing because Clayton Moss promised to reduce the bill if we helped. We worked so hard I lost weight! The day packing was NEARLY done, Mr. Moss called his main guy and told him to stop packing until he got the FULL payment from us. NOT the sweat equity payment he promised!! We were so down in our backs and exhausted from packing when they consistently did not show that we gave him a hard time-which didnt help one bit. He was Fine with leaving us in the lurch with a 1500 mile move in our laps and boxes not loaded. Our witness to this is a very aggravated Uhaul driver from OKC who arrived ready to pick up the boxes. Since the moving crew was a no show this caused her to have to sit and wait and listen to all the BS. and she also had to make 2 trips to OKC that day from far south OK in the dark because of them. This moving company also packed our stuff then started slacking off when we went to our shed bc their boss was calling them to another job and making threats to fire them if they didnt come NOW. One guy said he couldnt lose his job he needed to g, do we need anything else-I said wait let me look around the house. They were literally sitting in the van at this point. As soon as we walked into our barn they left-according to the Uhaul driver. The next day after a bad rain storm we found our daughters headboard footboard propped out front of the house. We asked Clayton to take care of this and he said it was not their responsibility. We had to pay for a Uhaul to get 1500 miles to our home plus extra in gas. I filed a complaint with BBB and Clayton fought it every step, and blamed us for every thing they did wrong. While we were away visiting family the complaint expired. They were not good packers. The owner was ok. Not very professional but the driver was Cody he is a good hard worker and I loved talking to him. He made me feel like I was a friend instead of a customer. The other guy wasn't so nice was racist and we are missing $1,200 out of our dresser I cant remember the other guys name but he was hispanic and cried all day about a hernia. Their boss is not a good guy I honestly dont know what they make but im shure its not alot by the way he was dressed. The worst moving company EVER! The quote they gave me at first was good. I was VERY detailed in what I needed loaded. Brand, weight etc. they damaged every item they touched. Damaged my walls and door frames as well. Lost so many screws and bolts after assuring me they "had them all" they didn't load the truck well at all. They took advantage of my situation. Showed up late, not professional. I had to call several times to ask why they were late. They pressed me into an extra $400 for my gun safe (after I made it very clear that was my priority) because they weren't prepared. They used MY Dolly's and equipment without asking! Broke my dolly too! The price they gave me was to load everything I had ready for 17 feet of truck. They loaded about 12 feet and never touched a thing I had packed. Don't waste your time or money. I contacted the owner and I have messages with him cussing at me. Damaged my home, left trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Doubled my charges. read more

Made an appointment with the company 2 weeks before precise moving day. Moving day comes, had an appointment at 230 and by 3pm no one has showed up. To make a long story short, we waited until 430 for someone and ended up rescheduling the move to the following day at 9am. Very aware of the previous days situation, the movers showed up at 830 am. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with ANY business. They told me to call early to book an appointment with them, so I did. I called a month early. The day before I moved, I called to ensure everything was as planned and they would be moving me the next morning. They said yes, I am sure you are on the schedule. This scared me a bit, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. WHAT A MISTAKE. They were supposed to show up early in the morning, time passes and they didn't show. I call them to figure out what happened and I received some dumb excuse and they said they would definitely be there at 3pm, then it was 5pm. I tried to confirm and they said I don't know. I ended up having to have my family from Dallas to come down and move us because they couldn't tell me if they could move me or not. I called another moving company to see if they had any availability and they told me I was the second person THAT day they just didn't show up for. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE. read more
