The meal was mostly prepared before us with the chicken and lamb skewers cooked to perfection over charcoal and the rice, salad and bread prepared in the back. Everything was served warm within half an hour. I have enjoyed Afghan Cuisine at several different restaurants, including much better known establishments and can say that the food served here definitely stood its own in terms of authenticity and deliciousness. Yes, definitely enjoyed every bite, from the succulent charcoaled chicken chunks down to the fluffiest rice i have ever tasted. All the while the owner kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything else. Stomachs full we mentally prepared for what we thought would be a wallet destroying bill.
