He likes to knock out your taxes so bring everything with you or quickly mail it to him when you get home. He'll get it back to you... just file early :-) I don't like paying other people to do my taxes but I like to save my sanity and have peace of mind. I require a bunch of forms so going to H&R Block wouldn't be a great idea because they can't handle more than a simple tax filing well. They are also expensive and Thomas isn't much more. He's also way more experienced. I'll be going back next year.

I went in to get a quarterly filing complete and it was inaccurate.  Their mistake could have cost…read moreme ~$10k more.  I pointed it out while I was in the office, and they insisted they were correct.  I completed additional research when I got to my office and forwarded them the IRS code and they admitted being wrong.  I was still charged for this service even though I did all of the research and all they did was provide me 4 pieces of paper. I would not trust them with future tax work and the fact that I was not reimbursed is even more embarrassing.  Their blaming it on the software is only telling me that the level of tax knowledge in their office is no different than mine.
