I have replaced 20+ pickets, I have had to use a box of nails to go back and actually fasten numerous pickets that were poorly fastened. I have had to rebuild cedar gate that was falling apart after 1 season. Every time the wind blows I have to reinstall vinyl pickets - the base boards were cut too short and it doesn't fit appropriately. Couldn't be more dissatisfied. Once they were paid - impossible to get any support. I chose them because the quote was a few thousand dollar less than competitor. It was still $20,000! Spend the extra money, Go elsewhere.

My wife and I hired Devin Gardner with Gardner Fencing/Gardner Contracting to build an addition on…read moreour home and it was a wreck from the start. The project was supposed to take 90 days or less. It has now been over 200 days and it is almost done. Utility companies would show up to move lines that he was supposed to dig up and it wouldn't be done so I would have to leave work to try and get it done before the utility company got there. We had rain in December after they cut open part of our roof and they didn't seal it so our upstairs flooded. His brother came and threw a tarp up which did nothing to stop the flooding so I had to spend 4 hours in the freezing rain making an actual solution. I asked him to come to fix it but he said he couldn't that night. The contractor that poured our foundation showed up several months later and told us that Devin wouldn't respond to his calls or texts and if he wasn't paid soon he would, unfortunately, have to put a lien on our house. He left snow and ice on the addition floor that warped the floors and needed replacement TWICE. He would always say he was going to be there at a specific day and time and never show up or call. This happened for over a month at one point. He is by far the worst contractor I have ever worked with and don't want anyone else to fall into the trap. He always has an excuse and is pretty convincing, but don't buy the lies. Do yourself a favor and hire a different contractor.
