My ob was not on call that evening (sad, because he's great!), but I had the privilege of receiving care from Dr. lao! My first baby I got the epidural, but this one I was hoping to go unmedicated. MAN is that so much easier said than done! As I lingered for awhile at 9/10 centimeters, I was becoming more and more tired, scared, and indecisive on my next steps for bringing my son into the world. Every contraction made me less confident that I could do it, but Dr Lao was one of the 3 in the room who reassured me and helped me through! My biggest praise has to go to her CALM CALM demeanor. What a difference that made! She was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness, never pressed me for what she wanted over what I wanted, but also (so) kindly gave her recommendations and gave me both the space to think things through and all the options before me. She also took great care and extra steps in physically delivering my son, and honored my wish to delay cord clamping until the cord turned white. Never with a hint of annoyance either. He always took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and reassure me that we were going to do everything possible to make sure my baby arrived safely and healthy. His confidence and constant reassurance helped me get through some of the most difficult and emotional moments of my pregnancy. When it was finally time to deliver, he made sure both my baby and I were safe and well cared for. I am beyond grateful to say that my baby was born safely and healthy, and I truly believe having such a caring and attentive doctor by my side made such a difference. I certainly am someone who fits into that boat, as I have so much anxiety around doctors offices and anything medical. Also as a queer individual, there's an extra layer to reproductive care that (in my experience) is often overlooked. Dr. Ogez is so thoughtful, patient, and informative in her practice -- I've never felt safer during a wellness exam. Her bedside manner is exceptional; I felt heard in what I was saying during my visit, and also felt empowered about making choices about my body because Dr. Ogez took the time to really talk through things with me (and it is so clear that she stays very well informed on contemporary approaches to gynecological care that help empower patients.) That enough is worth 5 stars for me, but I should tack on that the office was so well organized that I think I was in the waiting room for about 3 minutes in totality? And then maybe waited alone in the exam room for about 2 minutes. The visit itself did not feel rushed at all, and yet I was stoked on how quickly I managed to get in and out of the office. One of my favorite details is the wall of photos of Dr. Tran-Kim with babies she has delivered, arranged into a heart. I was told they update the photos and change the display into a Christmas tree during the holidays, which I thought was such a cute and personal touch. Dr. Tran-Kim, the founder and primary physician, is incredible. She talks about wanting her patients to be "healthy inside and feel beautiful outside," and I think that really comes through in the practice. I've never felt rushed during my visits. She takes the time to answer questions, explain treatment options, and make sure you actually understand your care. Something I really appreciate about Dr. Tran-Kim is that even though she owns and runs the clinic, she is still actively practicing as an OB/GYN. She continues to deliver her own patients and perform surgeries. I really like that because there's something reassuring about having an OB/GYN who follows through with your care. If I were pregnant, I would personally love knowing that the doctor I built a relationship with would also be the one caring for me during delivery, rather than having to wonder who might ultimately be on call. I personally like that they offer aesthetic and wellness options alongside traditional women's health care. I know that may not be for everyone, but if I ever decided to have an aesthetic treatment, I would much rather have it done through a health practice where I can actually see the doctor and have the treatment backed by medical knowledge and oversight. I appreciate being able to hear directly from a physician about treatments and what they recommend rather than going somewhere that is strictly focused on cosmetics. About 4 months ago I went through a traumatic experience with my 1st Bartholin's cyst at age 50. I…read moream going to take you on this journey of what I went through, before finding the amazing Dr David Ghozland. My Ob diagnosed it 2 weeks after having it. He recommended 4 baths per day, and it would most likely drain. He asked if I wanted him to pop it. Being the holistic person I am, I wanted to give my body a chance to try to deal with the cyst. For six weeks I researched and tried every home remedy I could find herbs , tinctures, salves, homemade paste, ozone, red light, sits baths 4 daily, Wim Hoff breathing, ice baths, hyper-barrack chamber, low inflammation diet, and homeopathy. Some of those things helped with the inflammation , but did not fix the problem. About 3 weeks in My Ob gave me a syringe of local anesthesia , that I never felt kick in. He popped the cyst, and told me to go home take baths and apply warm compress, massage and try to squeeze more out. This experience was so traumatic, the amount of pain I felt with the needle and the squeezing . When I left he mentioned in 4 weeks if this doesn't go away he will need to perform a Marcupialitazion. I researched what that was , and that seemed so incomplete of getting to the roots of the issue. I was afraid to go back, he gave me antibiotics , so I took them and carried on with my daily home treatments. The pain got worse and the cyst became abscessed. I immediately booked an appointment with my Ob days after my last appointment with him. It took a week and 1/2 to get in with him again. The cyst was getting more painful the infection was growing, nerve pain kicked in two days before my appointment with my Ob. For the last 2 days of having this Cyst I was bed ridden and used red light therapy to be able to get out of the bed and go to the bathroom. I let my Ob's office know I was in pain and I needed a pain killer on the day I come to the next appointment. I called twice and never heard back from them. Thank God my husband had Ibuprofen 800 left over from a dental surgery. Even after Ibuprofen 800 , I could not move an inch even in the bed to readjust without feeling like I was being stabbed with 1000 red hot knives in the vagina . I kept researching all day in bed and most of the doctor's solution for a Bartholin Cyst was a Marcupialization or a catheter in the vulva. This did not seem like the best treatment for me.. I had been praying and kept praying to find help. I then came across I came across Dr David Ghozland's video on YouTube . That was on a Sunday. I watched him perform the surgery on YouTube and listened to many of his videos about the cyst and his experience and treatment. His procedure was innovative and cutting edge using laser instead of a knife and Prp for rapid healing. I called and was able to book an appointment for Monday, even with the office closed on Sunday. He has a very competent Ai lady booking , when his office was closed . I was relieved to have my prayers answered with the amazing and compassionate doctor. The anticipation leading up to the surgery was so stressful. I knew I would have to get the syringe of anesthesia again. That was very painful and the pain to sit in the car , also the pain I would endure from the walk into the office. I stayed strong though because I knew this would all be behind me soon. I made it to the office and had a release of tears , I was very traumatized. The ladies at the front desk were so kind. I immediately knew I was at the right place for my needs. Amanda Dr Ghozland's nurse who partnered him was such a sweetheart. I asked to have something to take me out of the pain and they gave me something good! Dr. Ghozland came in and introduced himself. My first impression was this man is very connected to his humanity. He was warm, kind , and empathetic. We consulted and I fully trusted him and knew I was in good hands. He used to deliver babies and he reminded me of hypnobirthing and coasted me into tapping into that. Even with 3 syringes of local anesthesia there was pain taking each of them in and some parts of the surgery. I would imagine with all the nerve endings in the vagina that is a difficult place to fully numb. The surgery was fast and I did my best to calmly breathe through it. I am forever thankful for Dr Ghozland's willingness think outside of the box and utilize more tools than just a traditional approach to practicing medicine. Because of his on going education and open mind as a doctor I feel I had the best procedure for this condition. The Prp made for a very rapid healing time. Immediately after the surgery the nerve pain was gone. 1 day after the surgery I stopped pain meds. About 1 week later my vagina felt back to normal even with stitches still in. I'm writing this review to share Dr Ghozland's practice, it's definitely a Diamond in the rough! I don't have the words to say how grateful I truly am.

From the moment she walked into the room, she took the time to get to know me, not just my medical history. She asked about my family, my engagement, my previous pregnancy and delivery, and any complications I had experienced. I never felt rushed, and she really listened to everything I had to say. One thing that really stood out was how kind and encouraging she was. When I shared that my husband and I have been getting healthier in preparation for another pregnancy and that I had lost 15 pounds, she celebrated the accomplishment with me and even gave me a fist bump. It was such a small gesture, but it meant a lot and made me feel genuinely supported. I was nervous talking about my fears of having another child after my daughter's autism diagnosis, as well as my history of hyperemesis gravidarum. Dr. Bignami listened with empathy, answered my questions honestly, and discussed options for early monitoring and treatment if needed. She made me feel heard without minimizing any of my concerns. By the end of the appointment, I felt respected, reassured, and included in every decision, even when scheduling my IUD removal around my preferred timeline. What's ironic about all this is, I was transparent with the front office in letting them know my pregnancy was achieved through IVF. The office informed me they could not schedule me until I provided proof of a viable pregnancy through an ultrasound and information on my frozen embryo transfer. I had to wait a whole week to be seen by my out of state IVF fertility doctor to get this ultrasound done. When I finally have this information and I call them back so I can scan it. I am told they only accept fax or walk in to drop of paperwork so then can review it and contact me if they can proceed with scheduling. I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. On my ultrasound it was found the pregnancy is viable and there is already heart beat. Yet, this office is unwilling to see me. This has been incredibly frustrating, especially during such an important and emotional time. As a patient with an IVF pregnancy, I expected better communication, clearer instructions, and more support from the front office. Instead, the process has felt confusing, stressful, and unnecessarily difficult. I hope the office improves its scheduling process and communication with patients, especially those going through high-stress pregnancies. What's more ironic in all this is if I hadn't informed them about my IVF treatment they would have added me on the schedule without even knowing and would have confirmed that I am in fact pregnant. This office obviously does not want my business. My only mistake here was trusting my pregnancy with this doctor and their staff.

She didn't offer any support or guidance whatsoever when I became very depressed and wouldn't even sign a form from my job that was asking for two weeks off to cope with my heavy bleeding and depression. I had only seen a nurse practitioner up until 28 weeks pregnant because Dr. O'Day would become unavailable last minute and I was unable to reschedule my appointment. I was unable to reschedule some other appointments due to work and she noted in my chart that I was "not seeing her for prenatal care despite recommendations". Other notes in my chart were fully inaccurate, including things I didn't say, as well as symptoms she claims I denied having but were never discussed with me. if you are planning on gaining any more than 25 lbs during your entire pregnancy I would also avoid her as a provider. The FIRST thing she mentioned was my weight as I had gained 30 pounds. 30 pounds is nowhere near medically remarkable for my starting weight/height, she also added "I'm sure you can feel it" regarding the weight gain...whatever that means. She made more than a few comments aside from this that weren't medically relevant and rude. I immediately changed providers after speaking to a supervisor. She has zero bedside manner, didn't ask if I had any questions, didn't ask me if I had any personal concerns and was unpleasant bordering on disrespectful. Also waited around 40 minutes to be seen on top of it. I can't imagine having to suffer through another appointment let alone actual labor with this Dr. and am filing a formal complaint. In the meantime I hope this informal complaint is able to help others avoid this type of medical care.
