I think this is the hellhole I went to a few years ago. It was dirty, dingy, uncomfortable and the "Nurse Practitioner" was incompetent, didn't treat my problem, didn't grasp basic anatomy, increased my stress, pain and suffering. The NP seems to recreationally use prescription and street drugs as well. I wasn't told the sling they made me put on cost hundreds of dollars! This is the absolute worst urgent care I have ever been to. The office staff are fine. But I have went in there twice now because I did t have a choice. Each time I wish I could remember his name but the doctor is this dude with glasses dressed like he just came from the skate part holes in his hoodie looks like he dose drugs. Everything he says makes absolutely no sense. I have been in there twice for throat problems. Not once did he swab my throat to see what was going on no tests where ran. All he dose is prescribe you whatever he thinks you should have again without running anything just said screw it and gives you what HE THINKS will work. Just to get you out of the room as fast as possible so he can get back to playing on his phone in the office. I was here for two hours the first time while Izak went over some treatment options they could do in the office with recommendations if those treatments didn't work and a suggestion to come in the next day to follow up. When I walked in the next day I was greeted right away and asked how I was, which was much better. I was seen by a different provider, Ann, who said she was told about me before I arrived. Seemed I made an impression and they had genuine concern for my wellbeing. Ann told me to finish the medication and return if symptoms got worse. As nice as everyone was I'm really hoping not to have to see them again and told them as much. I'd also like to give a shoutout to Jenna. I enjoyed her sense of humor and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend AfterOurs to anyone In need of an urgent care facility. read more

Truthfully, I don't want people to know how great this place is, so I want to keep it a secret. Honestly, you cannot ask for a better facility and group of people to be with in a medical emergency or uncertainty. Each person there is nice, engaging, and professional. Quick, courteous service with humor and knowledge--it is such a refreshing take on healthcare! Even if you don't have insurance, the prices are fair, and you receive excellent service/help. My husband went in for pain in his left side and was diagnosed with constipation. Turns out he had kidney stones, which was discovered by his primary physician three days after going to AfterOurs. He suffered with this terrible pain much longer because of the incorrect diagnosis. All that was needed was a simple blood test and urinalysis, which was not ordered by AfterOurs. It was get him in quick and get him out quick, which resulted in a lot more suffering than was necessary. Going to AfterOurs is a waste of time and money and can result in exacerbated problems. Misdiagnosing patients can be dangerous and even life threatening. I do not recommend this clinic because they do not take the time to ensure the diagnosis is correct, thereby causing further suffering and potentially far more serious problems. read more

AfterOurs is unable to access your medical information online despite making you fill out all paperwork online. AfterOurs wouldn't call in or send an electronic prescription for an antibiotic to my pharmacy despite being late & close to pharmacy closing time. The same visit that would have been 20 - 30 minutes at my regular Urgent Care took almost an hour due to all the extra paperwork. Staff was friendly but hindered by an outdated system. Have had to use this location 3 other times in last few years as it was the only place open, and has always been very time consuming and not patient friendly. Kind of has a 3rd world approach to care. Next time I'll just drive further from home to get more efficient care. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. Been here twice for me and my boyfriend for the flu. Had an appointment the first time waited an hour and a half second time there was one person in front of us. No one was in the rooms. We waited 45 minutes. They have no personality and no customer service. It took them 30 minutes to greets us and take our medical card lol. They are a joke here. And we ask them what we need to do and they look at us like we're stupid and missing something. The white bald guy called out this family in the waiting room they have no insurance in front of us instead of pulling them up privately and telling them. They didn't have the money to stay so they left. How embarrassing!!!! And unprofessional. You call this guy a medical professional. He should be fired for sharing private information like that. Disgusting you could treat someone like that you hate your job quit! This is a place someone goes when they are sick and unwell. Not to be judged in front of others, private information shared, or waiting longer than your appointment time. The people here are rude. Clear the staff and start over. read more

I should have read the reviews before going here. Don't go here unless you don't really need to see a doctor. I took my son there to get medicine for an eye infection and they couldn't even do that. They sent us to the emergency room to get eye drops and then charged us $155 for the 5 minutes it took them to tell us they wouldn't help him. They sent us a "survey" asking how they did and I told them I was dissatisfied and marked the box "please contact me". The only contact I got was an automatic charge to my credit card to pay their bill. read more

I took my husband to Afterours when he was very sick. They did and Covid test and flu test and both negative. He felt awful and looked awful. Unfortunately the doctor never did a physical exam of him. She stayed near the door and never touched him or came close. Told him basically there was nothing she could do. He ended up having walking pneumonia which could have been caught if they actually did an exam. read more

I came here yesterday for Covid rapid testing and was pleasantly surprised, although we know first impressions are everything. I was able to easily book a same day appt online and was grateful for that. Once I walked in I noticed the receptionist had an attitude and was super rude. Not friendly at all. Almost annoyed to be there. I disregarded it. I asked her if I am supposed to wait in the car and she said yes and that I will receive 2 text messages. I never received any messages so I walked back inside the clinic for a status and she said they were just about to text me. I asked her what the second text was for and she kept repeating in a snarky manner that they never texted me because they were just about to prior to me walking back in. And i asked her one more time about the 2 (two) messages. She repeated the same thing about the 1 (one) text message almost like I was a 5 year old. Finally i just gave up because I really didn't want to deal with her attitude and to feel like she was demeaning me. The nurse tech called me to the back and was super friendly so that was very refreshing and nice. She was very sympathetic and compassionate. I asked her about the text messages and she clarified that 1 message is to complete registration and the other was to let me know when they are ready for me. Simple. She understood my question and it was a normal frank conversation. Once my results were ready the doc came in and was also super friendly and helpful. If I was solely rating the front desk receptionistI would give this place 1 star, but kudos to the nurse tech and doc for their compassion, service, and friendliness. 3 stars it is. read more

I have visited the urgent care twice, the first time, they told me I should stop taking the over-the-counter ear drops that are the only medicine fighting my headaches, the second time they sent me away with painful headaches and no prescription to take over the next week to month. Medical care, you either love it or hate it? Is there a middle?? The minute, as in 15 seconds after pulling my uhaul into my driveway, after a 14 hour road trip, I wiped out on black ice. I'm a big girl. Alot of pounds hit the ground. After a few days, I decided to get checked out, and my PCP suggested an Urgent Care, because they were booked solid. I looked up through my insurance, and found Afterours. I called, and they told me to come in. No appointment necessary. When I got there, a very friendly receptionist directed me to sign in electronically, so she gave me a url, which I signed in all my information on my own iPad. After I signed in, I was called back. A NP was the 'doctor' at the time. I was seen, and dispatched. The facility, although modern sign in information, was a bit rough. The exam room, could use paint, flooring, but it didn't feel dirty, just old, and in need of some care. Would I go back? Depends on what's wrong. For this purpose of my wipe out - yes it was, if it was more of an emergency, probably not, because they didn't have an x-ray tech at the time of my walk in, so if I had needed x-ray's, (it was discussed) I would have had to wait 4 hrs until the tech's shift started. read more

Do not go here!! They charge outrages services for a 30-minute visit. I went in for a postnasal drip and just needed the doctor to prescribe me cough syrup. I paid my insurance co-pay and after three weeks they want to charge me out-of-pocket with the statement saying it's a service fee. That is why I have insurance to not pay anything beyond the copay. During the 30 minutes I was there, my insurance was charged $300 and now they want me to pay even more. Keep in mind, I did not receive any vaccines, IV, or absolutely anything it was just a verbal consultation where I opened my throat and they called it good enough. read more

A frustrating and expensive experience! I was unable to receive care here because of their poor night time staff scheduling. They put a new hire alone working the night shift and this individual couldn't handle some of the basic tasks you'd expect to receive at an urgent care - he openly stated he was too new and uncomfortable doing them. They ended up turning both myself and another individual away when they were the only urgent care open. I personally only needed a few stitches. It was minor, but it couldn't wait until morning. The end result? I went to a hospital, which cost me an extra $220 out of pocket copay. Because of their staffing? Seriously? Who knows what happened to the person that needed an x-ray, but i assume it ended up costing them too. On a positive side - the staff was nice while they rejected us, but that doesn't free me of the additional expense due to their incompetence. :/ read more

This place has a revolving door of Doctors (PA's?) So my review is for this one in particular. I was seen by Jason Guy for a cut I had sustained to my finger. I was not given any antibiotics or anything to help manage pain. Subsequently I had several sleepless nights and pain for a number of days. Eventually the wound became infected in spite of my efforts to clean it twice daily as instructed using Bactine and Hydrogen Peroxide. When I returned to After Hours on 2/17/12 and again on 2/19/12, I was informed of the infection and was administered antibiotic shots. I feel that Jason Guy was negligent in his handling of my injury. After speaking to several other people who have dealt with similar injuries, I have been told that a more thorough cleaning of the wound as well as administering antibiotics is common practice especially in light of me handling food when I sustained the wound. I believe that Jason Guy's mishandling of me as a patient has caused me a great amount of unnecessary discomfort. I hope that he will revise the way that he handles patients from now of to prevent others from having to go through what I have over the past couple of weeks. Everyone else I have dealt with has been pleasant and helpful. The front desk lady was the only person that has been there on EVERY visit and she has been great. read more

With all the options available in a mere 5 mile radius, I highly suggest that this establishment be avoided at all costs. I went in due to a rash with significant swelling, pain, and a 102 degree fever. I could barely stand for more than a few moments. First things first, I'm handed the paperwork, I fill it out, they collect my copay, and I sit back down. Even though I was THE ONLY PATIENT there, It was 45 minutes before seeing a provider (highly unlikely she was actually a doctor, though Nurse Practitioners should be fully capable of handling most anything that comes through the door). She asked my symptoms, but did not actually even listen to me. then waited for me to answer HER question, which took under 1 minute. Her first words? "OK. So what did you shoot-up?" Yes. I am 100% serious. This is verbatim. From this point on, she had clearly decided that she was NOT going to treat me (despite gladly accepting my copay & billing my insurance for likely $300-500). I was told, "Go to the ER. This is serious! What you've done can result in amputation!" What I'VE DONE? WOW! Being in neither the mood nor the position to sit in the hospital all night long, still, I knew treatment was necessary. As such, I went to a facility just 3 mi. away (a standalone ER for a local hospital). They saw me immediately & the treatment was fantastic. As for THIS "Urgent Care" facility on 104th, it has been highly suggested that I file a legitimate complaint on them (with multiple grounds). I truly have not been treated with such disrespect and pre-judgement via a healthcare provider in my life. Tip for you folks who run the place: Get your act together! Its just a matter of time before someone with the financial means to legitimately have your doors closed & licenses yanked comes through and is treated as was I. Not only was I angry & irritated afterwards, but most of all, I was HUMILIATED to the highest order. I would not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy, and that is no joke. People like this are a major reason for dysfunction in the healthcare system. To bill insurance hundreds of dollars for doing literally NOTHING aside from shaming me (when in fact, it turns out the infection was caused by a tiny dog bite where I was nipped while feeding treats-- A FAR CRY from "shooting up" in my opinion). With an immediate family member having worked for one of the three largest insurance providers in the United States for almost 40 years (now in the Auditing Division, I might add), treatment facilities need to remember that THEY chose this career. Their JOB is to HELP patients. The things that were said, as well as the complete lack of protocol, and lastly, the level of sheer apathy on the part of all three employees on duty... Well, it speaks volumes. I would not be a BIT surprised to see this places' doors closed due to any number of offenses. Please-- if you value your health, avoid this place at ALL COSTS; there are PLENTY of options available. Finally, since a sign on the counter asks that we "Please provide a review on Yelp!" If you want to be treated with condescension and you don't mind dealing with the WRONG medication being called in, resulting in hours of headache trying to sort out and fix their mistakes, by all means go see PA Jesse Viner at the Thornton location. If you want to actually be treated for your symptoms, if you want to be spoken to with respect and professionalism, if you want the correct medication called in for you and your children to your local pharmacy and not some random pharmacy they decide to send it to, then I HIGHLY suggest you take yourself and your loved ones to ANY other facility. You'd have more luck getting treated correctly for your urgent medical inquiries at a gas station then you would at this completely horrendous establishment. And the gas station attendant would likely be more polite and empathetic towards you. Don't say I didn't warn you. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Why aren't ZERO stars an option? read more

Unless you are literally dying, do not go here. Even then they probably can't help you. I came in for a rash on my arm because I hadn't found a primary care doctor yet. I was told it was going to cost me $150 dollars so I said okay I'm going to leave I can't afford that right now. Keep in mind I was not mad I was simply in a position where I could not afford to drop $150 for an arm rash. I grabbed my purse and was walking away when the women at the front desk said wait wait it's our policy to help with financial situations so I'll just route this fee to billing and you will only owe a $20 co pay. I was very happy and felt like they really cared. I left, picked up my prescription, and a week later the rash was gone- yay! Now the awful part. I receive a bill for $130 about 2 months after I've been seen. Are you serious? I said I could not afford this and your employees told me I would not be charged. I would have sucked it up and waited for a doctor appointment to open at a new primary care office had I known this place would screw me on the bill. The Highlands location closed 30 minutes before their advertised time for reasons unexplained ("we are not taking any more patients") and receptionist directed me to the Thornton location. I arrived to a locked door and lights off. Upon calling their number it rolled over to another location that was open, where I learned that the Thornton location had closed an hour early because they were short staffed. My expectations at an urgent care facility are not high, but at a minimum expect them to be open during their advertised hours. I have no intention of using their services in the future. read more

The nurse practitioner was very nice & helpful while we were there, however when I called the pharmacy to see if my son's medicine was ready to be picked up it hadn't even been filled! Mind you this was 2 hours after we had already left from the clinic. When calling the after care # you don't get the clinic you get the answer service. They were told the situation & I was told someone would be in contact with me. Waited an hour & had to call back to let them know the prescription still wasn't filled & no one had reached out. Even though we just came back from Mexico and had negative test results and have been vaccinated I was not allowed in the office . Worst experience I have ever had. The doctor Kenneth Farrel was rude and nasty. He didn't even check my neck, my ears or throat, when I went in for sore throat, ear pain and headache. He just walked into the room and accused me of going in just to get drugs when I made a comment about how long the 24 hour Walgreens takes on 120th. After He made the unnecessary comment about the medication and he then told us to leave and get out of the urgent care after my mother told him his comment was rude. He is unprofessional, not compassionate, and a horrible doctor. DO NOT GO THERE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. take your business else where.
