this place was awesome. Despite some of the reviews that were online for this place. This place was…read moreactually really really nice. We ended up having the king suite with the view of the baseball stadium and the downtown corridor. The rooms were super clean and the air conditioners kept the rooms very comfortable throughout the whole stay. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was easy to access in the water pressure was fairly decent. The bed was fairly comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. The staff at this location were very nice and helpful. I even used the laundry facilities downstairs with ease as they were clean and a nice relaxing place to sit down while my laundry was washing.. The lobby and breakfast area were really clean and well put. Of the five days on the road this by far is the best and I would stay here again with no problem. Thank you for a great visit and I hope to see you guys again soon.

My company uses this hotel often and it's always an enjoyable stay. There's a few things that…read morearen't great, but I would choose to stay here every time I'm in Wichita. Pros: - The rooms are large and stocked with dishes and everything you need to feel more like you're at home. - There's a small fridge with a real freezer that is really nice to have when you're here for several days. - The rooms are always very clean and common areas are nice. - There's lots of storage for your stuff. - There's lots of outlets and places to charge devices. - The staff is very nice. - The parking is great. - The hotel has a fantastic location that is central to everything and in a nice area of town. Cons: - The breakfast is blah. They need a complete overhaul on most of the breakfast items. The raspberry-blueberry mix must be frozen because as it thaws, it turns to mush. The meats are just gross with weird looking 'bacon' and sausage that is not good. The French Toast is dry and the other items in the warmer are meh. Breakfast isn't a deal breaker, but it is something they can improve upon. - The water pressure in the shower is pretty low. It takes forever to wash shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. - The Internet was slow during this trip. It hasn't been in the past, so it might have just been this time. The pros definitely outweigh the cons and I would recommend Home 2 Suites to anyone looking for a nice and comfortable stay in Wichita.

The staff were genuinely kind and helpful which made the whole experience feel welcoming from check in to check out. The restaurant inside the hotel is very nice and high quality, though a bit pricey since it is essentially a fancy steak restaurant. The free breakfast was decent and had enough variety to start the day without needing to leave. The exterior of the building looks great and the location is a big plus since it is right next to the river and bridge which makes for nice views and easy walks nearby. Overall it is a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Wichita.

Staff were not helpful in helping us find our paid parking, our rooms, or addressing the problem during the stay, which made the stay worse. I chose not to post a public review at the time. Instead, I completed the hotel's internal evaluation I received in my email a few days later. As shown in the attached screenshot, the reply is blatant AI. The follow-up I received is not meaningful customer service. I think that matters when deciding where to spend your hard-earned dollars. I would not recommend recommend this hotel to travelers who expect responsive service when problems arise.

Not at all true with this Ambassador Hotel. Located in the historic area of downtown Wichita, this Ambassador Hotel is located in what appears to be the newly emerging biomedical campus under construction next door. The portico and lobby are very inviting and decorated to give you the full holiday experience. The front desk attendant wasn't exactly charming at 11pm but she wasn't rude either. She was a bit distracted with her night audit work but got me checked in and upgraded and off to my room in short order. I had room 1010 and I would highly recommend this room any time you stay. This is a multi-room suite with a full living room, a dressing suite with dual vanities and a jacuzzi tub, separate shower and a master bedroom that was quite large with a walk-in closet. So much space for one person! I contemplated cancelling my other reservations and stay there all week, but I didn't. Lots of windows allowing sunlight in the morning and a mini bar with snacks if you have the munchies and want to pay top dollar for the option to eat and drink at your leisure. The hotel has a restaurant and bar and I believe it seems they are well-reviewed although I don't visit either. Parking is in the multi-story parking deck adjacent to the building and likely serves multiple businesses in the area. I think it was $18, no biggee. The only thing that I was cringing over was the sofa. Lighter colored fabric showed off some definite staining that made me want to avoid at all costs. Everything else seemed clean and well cared for. I'm going to give it a four star review for now and try it again another time to see if it deserves more.

From the moment we checked in, we were treated as though we were the only ones in the hotel. The room we chose had a beautiful bath, and they provided bath salts, which was so kind we will be back for another staycation

To say this area of town is overrun by homeless people is an understatement. The only reason we…read moreconsidered staying here is because of affordability, but mainly proximity to the hospital for a family member in ICU. Let's start with Check in. The AC was broken with no ETA on being fixed in the middle of the summer (95+ degrees). Ok things happen... however there was a schizophrenic homeless women in the lobby camped out on the couch with her trash bags. When we asked if this was normal... the person manning the front desk told us "we're in downtown, what do you expect?" Hmmm... red flag. (More to come) The hotel in pics looks updated but don't be fooled, it's decrepit and as you can see filthy and dated. ie. Paint slathered over mold in the shower. The pillows are a bunch of mini decorative squares. Think airplane sized travel pillows. Hallways wreak of cigarettes and urine. No cars in the parking lot which is a plus, but it's pretty obvious why now. Be sure to check your door is latched because it will not catch if you just close it... yes we didn't use a key to first open our musty room. One outlet on one side the bed. When we arrived to our hotel at night after dinner, there was a homeless man loitering at the front door making everyone walking in uncomfortable. The room key security door to get in the front is broken so no real safeguard. We take the elevator and start walking to our room... another homeless man comes out of the stairwell and follows us to our room begging for change. At this point, wow not even safe in the hotel hallways. Called the front desk and she said she would get security. Hah! Joke was there is no guard as we saw her get out of the elevator a few minutes later. I would say you get what you pay for but this is a disgusting last resort motel. Shame on management for false advertisement, faulty operations, and nonexistent security. PS: It's comical they ask you for your car and license plate "in case your lights are left on"... nope, surely it's to know who to contact once your car gets broken in to. Oh yeah the stairwell is a junkyard of old A/C units.

I seldom see any that works here smile! I always thought having to pay for breakfast here was not something I wanted to do.i was proven correct in my thinking today. I'm not sure how their room rates compare to others in the area but I find it ridiculous that they make you pay for breakfast. $14.99 for scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, oatmeal, and weak pastry options. Even more if you pay with card at $16.02. And it was all cold!! Honestly, it might have maybe been worth it if the omelet station was working. Those are supposedly made-to-order. Pretty embarrassing for them. Shame on me for finally trying it. I would've been happier finding a restaurant elsewhere.

The whole was incredibly filthy, from the main lobby and food like dressing being spilled in the hall ways left for more than 12 hours, hand prints and all sorts of other things all over the elevator like it hadn't been wiped down in weeks, to blood on the ceiling in our room, nasty sauce in the mini fridge, toilet bowl didn't look like it's been cleaned in weeks, to towels that were still wet and placed in the rooms. The architecture of the building is beautiful with the atrium it's just a shame how poorly things are being maintained.

This hotel is located a walk away from several breweries and right across the street from the minor legal baseball stadium that has an active social area. We had an amazing view of the waterfront which also featured a walking/running trail. The hotel staff were friendly and went above and beyond in every area of our stay from the front desk to the restaurant. They comped our parking but even if they hadn't, it was only $20 per day in a covered parking garage. This may seem high but in other areas of the country we've paid up to $50 per night to park our car. The room was clean and the beds/bedding were comfy. We had a great nights sleep. The shower had strong water pressure and the hot water was instant. We ate at the buffet which had quality food although wasn't much more than a general hotel breakfast with the exception of a charcuterie type selection of quality meats and cheeses. The fruit had an abundance of fresh pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, honey dew and watermelon. They also had the regular apples, bananas and oranges. The hot buffet offered french toast, sausages, bacon, potatoes, biscuits & gravy and scrambled eggs. $20 per person The only criticisms I have: There is no free guest coffee in the morning. They have a coffee bar but it cost like a Starbucks. The guy there was new and his customer service was lacking. The water in the room was $3.50 per bottle if you weren't and elite level Hyatt member so if I was a customer who just happened to stay there and paid for my room, that would have pissed me off. There were only 2 wash clothes with the towels.
