I've come here with my gf, as a guest, a few times. I can only really speak in the locker rooms,…read moremachines, weights, and cardio equipment. Every time I've come, the locker room has been clean. You bring your own lock but sometimes, if I'm not carrying much, I'll just have my stuff on the floor with me. The treadmills are decent. There area few older ones I prefer not using, but in the early evening, it's a hit or miss, because they get pretty filled up. Weight training is great. They have a few locations on the floor for Olympic bar work. I was able to perform my pyramids sets with an ease of adding and removing weights. During peak time, however, it can be difficult finding a spot. You might find yourself having to wait and adjust your workout due to what's available. All in all, the gym fits my needs and I will look into a possible membership. I like that they're 24 hours. I have a current rotator cuff injury, so I will be waiting until I get the go ahead, to begin my future modified workouts.

Perfect spot for anyone wanting to improve their physique, recover from injuries or just plain improve your overall health ;) The gym is actually located in a medical office building within walking distance from the Metro North Station, so I actually took the train there after work (probably a 3 minute walk), but there is also a parking lot and plenty of metered parking (all free after 7pm) nearby. They give a free fitness assessment and one free training session just to give you an idea of their expertise :) Plus, there is a diner upstairs in the building, so you could probably grab a bite to eat after the workout. I love this place and would recommend their trainers to anyone! I'd strongly recommend my personal trainer there, Joseph Hunt, his knowledge on strength training and weight loss is awesome! Hunt helped me to tone up the extra 10 pounds I had gained over the summer and also corrected some painful back issues I had....mostly due to laziness and inactivity,lol. But he also focuses on medical exercise and Bootcamp training (small group exercise) for all ages and body types. Perfect for anyone who wants to be healthier for a reasonable price in a comfortable atmosphere....I'll be back to sign up for the Bootcamp training next!

You will always feel that you are part of a team and the motivation is constantly there to go longer, and harder despite what type of day you are having. The pros: Plenty of parking, small atmosphere, never have to worry about overcrowding, it is very clean so you don't have to worry about gross sweaty gym equipment, everyone is friendly, and you never have to feel subconscious about the way you look. Every time you workout you will get something different, and each workout will be an intense experience, leaving little room for boredom. The cons: Limited windows, so you may get tired of staring at walls while you workout and the locker room only has one available shower.

I already had some experience with exercise and she had no formal training and also has mild cerebral palsy so she was initially wary of working out with a trainer as she thought some of the movements would be too difficult. We were both impressed with Al. He managed to devise routines that would challenge both of us equally while modifying some of the exercises to suit her abilities. I couldn't believe how good a workout we were able to get during a 30 minute class. The pace and choice of exercises were enough to keep us just outside of our comfort zones but not uncomfortably out of breath; and by the end of every lesson we were soaked! Both of us showed results -- I have greater muscle tone and my posture has changed for the better. Her balance has improved remarkably and she can more easily handle obstacles such as stairs and uneven sidewalks at higher walking speeds, her balance has improved as well. It was also more fun for her than standard physical therapy. Al himself is a personable, knowledgeable, and accomplished instructor. He will keep you moving without resorting to drill-instructor tactics and always has something interesting to say. I definitely recommend Bodyware Pelham!

I was skeptical at first about OPEX, however its scientific approach to fitness totally won me over. At first Dylan does an assessment of the person's fitness level, lifestyle choices, diet, and exercise habits. Then an assessment of the person's every muscle group is conducted and recorded whereas cardiovascular assessment is also done. Then the process becomes to prescribe specific exercises each week that will transform each muscle group to a fit level. I absolutely love the customizable aspect of OPEX and the fact that I can work out 4-5 days a week at my own pace while Dylan is there answering all of my questions / and making sure I am doing all the exercises correctly so I don't hurt myself. I am 47 years old and I like boot camp but I certainly don't want to overdo it and hurt myself. The only downside is that OPEX is more expensive than other gyms. However the fully personalized aspect and its science based approach totally makes it worthwhile. It's like having a sophisticated personal trainer 4-5 times a week for a small fraction of what that would cost if one was to get private sessions. Go Dylan!

From the looks of it, it's a small gym, looks like they have basic equipment, and the bathrooms are only for members... I also learned today that I may look like a thief as well... So I'm the type of person that would rather do anything else but workout ‍ but last spring I…read morestarted going to Fitness Together in Bronxville (by Bxville Nails)and I actually started to go on the regular because workouts were challenging but felt good and my disc herniations were not exasperated by the sessions - which has always been the problem when I've tried to get in to a routine. I'm only 38 but I have an old lady back with a minor curve and herniations at L4, L5, C1 and C2. They renovated over the summer and reopened recently as Celcius. Now they do group classes rather than one-on-one and my first class this morning kicked my butt yet was over before I knew it and I felt great after so it was the same great experience as the one-on-one sessions. For me the best part was that I dropped my kids at school at 8am, started at 8:30 and was home by 9:30 (45 min class) so I had the rest of the morning to get things done. I don't normally promote things but Celcius is worth it and the staff there is so great I can't help post about it
