She's made many friends and feels part of a real community, which means everything to me. There is always something going , plenty of activities, social events, and opportunities for residents to stay active and connected. This is not just an assisted living facility,it's an incredible community where residents are encouraged to live fully and joyfully. I'm so grateful knowing my aunt is now here. Highly recommend The Gardens of Northridge to anyone looking for assisted living.

From the moment she arrived, the care was superb. The large and well-trained staff treated her as if she were a member of their family. From the administrators through the medication specialists through the wound nurses through the nursing assistants, the Northridge team was warm, totally professional and extremely patient. Pain management was excellent, and the nursing assistants were always available to ensure our mother's comfort. The physical therapy and occupational therapy is outstanding, and again, very patient. They tailored their routines to our mother's capabilities and always exhibited the utmost warmth and care. My brother and I were overprotective of our mother, and we could leave at the end of the day knowing she was in a caring and completely safe environment. I cannot recommend the Gardens highly enough.

The level of compassion, dignity, and respect shown to each patient is truly evident in the daily care they receive. For every patient's birthday, Clarita thoughtfully brings a large cake to share with all the residents, creating a sense of community and celebration. On Thanksgiving, the facility provides a beautiful spread of food, bringing warmth and tradition to patients whose families may be far away. The residents here are not only cared for, but genuinely loved and valued. I sincerely enjoy working with this board and care and always feel confident in the quality of care being provided. I would especially like to acknowledge two remarkable staff members, Rose and Nelson, whose dedication and kindness make a meaningful difference every day. If I ever have a loved one in need of a board and care facility, this is without hesitation the place I would call.

The home is on a large corner lot and has a large gated driveway and a very pretty entry way. I met with Arsen who is the Administrator and he was vey kind and pleasant. The caregivers were lovely and greeted me as I toured. The home was beautiful, super clean and spacious. The covered and enclosed patio was wonderful and perfect space for activities and crafts. The bedrooms were large and they offer single or shared rooms. All the residents were enjoying their meals during the time of my visit. You can see how much the care givers love and take very great care of each resident. I love how big the back yard is for residents to garden, walk and exercise. Compared to other board and cares, this home stands out and I would definitely place my loved one here. I prefer a smaller assisted living compared to a large facility because of ratio to resident care is more one on one care. Highly recommend touring.

When it was time to move my family member into a home due to Lewy Body Dementia, I knew we needed something better. We needed the feel of a home that had the medical expertise of a facility. My mother-in-law was taken care of by warm and loving care givers and owners. They never stopped cooking, cleaning and caring for the residence. They accommodated our requests and delivered personal service to our loved one up until her passing. We felt she was safe, comfortable and in very capable hands for her final days.

I purposely visit variety of homes at different times because it is important to observe as many staff as I can because it allows me to observe how the residents are being cared for in different situation. Highland Manor is a warm and inviting care home. Current staff, Lilly, and Louie treat all the residents with love and respect. The staff accepts suggestions. This is a very secure home for family members who have dementia. Recommend this home to families who want caring staff taking care of their loved ones. Russell, the administrator, is a "hands-on" owner. When looking for a home for a loved one, this is very important. He welcomes suggestions and is available by phone if he is not onsite.

When I inquired when the staff was going to do the evaluation the administrator replied he would do it when she arrived at the facility. Also before admission a written evaluation from her physician was to be received. When I had it faxed to me I could not read all of it. I asked it they wanted to wait for admission until I received the hard copy the administrator once again told me know it was fine and he would take the hard copy when I received it. My Mom was not a good fit for this facility. Had the facility done due diligence we would have know this prior to her transfer. Instead she was admitted the staff did not give her her medication for the entire two weeks she was there and then complained about her behavior. The administrator was rude and more concerned about his staff quitting because she was a difficult patient. If they had taken the time to evacuate her and spoke to her doctor like they were required to do before her transfer we probably would not have had to move my mom again in such a short period of time.
