Maybe Helping Hands at (818) 279-6580 may work for some, BUT, I don't know what the outcome…read morewould've been if I would've continued to be patient & wait for their unkept promises made during these long awaited weeks of urgency to find help. I got frustrated and didn't trust their whole system and unexplained process & unanswered questions. They just took all my most private information, such as social security, Medicare and medi-Cal numbers, etc. and promised to pick me up, & take me to the ER, then onto nursing facility, & ???not sure, they're not sure either, but never came through with their promises to pick me up at my location, so I waited and waited. I had to call them and left voicemails, then they finally called me back & promised to get me help again. They didn't keep their appointment that they had arranged, once more, to meet with me and left me waiting again without a call back or an apology, leaving me as if though I didn't matter and confused once more. After I called and left messages on voicemails, a male staff nurse called me, only to retake all my information again and more medical information for about 45 min., but to no avail & unanswered questions. Again, after a couple of calls from their reps, more promises were made, but I had already lost all hope and trust in them. I was called by a rep only to ask me to call someone else, for transportation purposes, but by then, I was pretty much over with all this, so at this point, promises that they'd pick me up & meet me weren't a reality, so I felt hopeless and probably just getting the runaround and suspected that they were a scam. Their rep called & was so unprofessional in her manner and argued with me when I reminded her that on our last conversation by phone, she had told me that she didn't have time for my questions cause we'd be cut off and only needed to give me her information. I was so confused because of her vagueness & she was unable to fully answer my questions. I felt vulnerable and felt as though I had lost my dignity because they didn't seem to see me as a human being with an urgent desperate need. Helping Hands may just, maybe help someone, but not sure that they'll give me a helping hand at this time. If I can't trust them now, would I have trusted them once I'd be in their trusting helping hands? I may never know. I'm still in need of help & I'm hoping that they get their professionalism in order, in check, because they seem legit, but are they? It's questionable. (I've noticed that I've been getting emails from United Health Plan, and senior resources, since they had urged me to check my emails regularly.) Many blessings to those who are in the same situation as I am today. Helping Hands needs to treat people with more dignity, love, and kindness. I just hope that everyone who needs help in these uncertain times, gets the help that they need. Good luck and God bless
