Decent sized comic book store. New Mexico issues shelves were a bit of a mess with current issues staked on top of past issues. A large selection of independent titles as well as a massive section of Marvel & separate DC. Boxes of "older" comics did not include anything that wasn't X-men, Spider-Man, etc. Way to many figures and Funco for and old collector like myself. I have been coming to Age of Comics since March of 2014 at its original location and it is the home of my pull list. This review update is a long overdue reprise to make it the full five stars on this, the Age of Comics ten year anniversary of being. The newest location is amazing and the owners are great. Loved, LOVED this store. If I lived in Albuquerque, this place would have my hold. Tons of back issues, toys, decent amount of trades, all extremely well organized. Just an excellent collection, including the CGC bricked varieties. Of all the comic places in Albuquerque I visited, this is the only one where I bought anything and best of all, price was extremely right. Absolutely must visit when in town, if you care at all about comics. read more

This is an impressive comic book store. Not only they have comic books but all sorts of comic related toys. During my visit they did not have the book I was looking for but they promptly offered to order the series of books for me. I am happy with the good customer service and looking forward to pick up my first comic book. read more

This comic book shop is awesome! They have a wider variety of comics, both new and old. They have statues, toys, supplies, original art, graphic novels and lots of other great items. If you are looking to find high end rare comics, this is also the place for you. You can find some amazing CGC books in the "Danger Room" where the really high end stuff is displayed. Today, they had Bob McLeod as a guest for their grand opening and tomorrow, they'll have Chris Claremont! I highly recommend this shop! read more

Age of Comics deserves most praise in this city. I'll tell you why. By far this is the neatest, most organized comic store I've ever been. They not only carry new comics and old, they have some neat figures, collectibles, and memorabilia. The owner is most knowledgeable and fun to talk to! You can tell he loves what he does, which is a personal detail you won't get at a chain store. This was a small but easy store in a corner of the strip mall. The new issues are laid out nicely. Limited back issues and some silver age stuff. The staff is a family owned and ran store. They employee was more knowledgeable about the toys and informed me that the other two brothers were experts on comics. I was able to find some key issues I have been looking for. The employee was helpful and friendly. I would come back as soon as possible, and tell all my friends. read more

I live near this comic shop and since the one I normally went to closed down, I needed a new place for purchasing toys and older issues. From the art outside to the treasures inside, this store is a must-see. It is smaller than a couple of shops that I've been to, but it has a lot of heart in it. You'd be surprised what you find here because they carry a lot of things in the comic variety. What really made me happy was I found the matching Rogue doll to my Gambit doll of the same style. I've went online looking for this doll and found nothing. I also picked up an Iceman action figure as well which was nice to see. The employees there are awfully knowledgeable and very friendly. I enjoy this store and this will be my new place to get my comic fix. read more

This comic store was the first I've been to, and was well worth the visit! The guys here were very knowledgeable about comic books, as soon as I told them what I was looking for they knew exactly what I was talking about even though the comic was over 5 years old! I am not into the action figures, but from what I could see they had a very good selection. Also, they have very expensive comics on the wall for show(only photo copies, but still). The guys there both had very great personalities and were nice to have a conversation with. read more

Albuquerque is fortunate to have some great comic stores and Age of Comics is one of them. The owners and employees are always helpful and very nice and their new comics selection is great. They also have a good selection of older comics. Follow them on Facebook for their what's new Wednesday videos and check them out for subscriptions and comic grading. One thing that is great is they advertise their sales and reply to Facebook messages quick. read more
