The competitive pricing, and 2. The responsiveness and professionalism of the team. Request-a-quote on Yelp is thus far 3/3 for me. As others mentioned, these folks are responsive, polite, prompt, and professional. I needed assistance within a few days, and they were on it. From request a quote, to a quick phone convo, booking online, a courtesy call before arrival, and a quick educational termite prevention and extermination servicing, this team has a way of making extermination quick and painless. Jaden handled our termite prevention installation and Steven handled our extermination services. I'd recommend both. Fast forward 6 months, would still recommend!

Our favorite part is you can shoot them a quick text with a picture of the problem, and they'll schedule an appointment, all over text! We pay for the regular treatments, but if critters start popping up between the service, they'll come out and re-treat (usually for free) - we cannot recommend Stride enough, if you're on the fence and reading this right now, you won't make the wrong decision to go with Stride. All of the technicians have been stellar, but specifically I wanted to mention Burton - he has come to our house on multiple occasions and is always very polite, informative and thorough. Burton always goes the extra mile to check everything out around the house before he leaves, beyond the areas we've mentioned, and always chats with me on his way out to let me know what was applied, how it was applied, and any follow up steps (an engineer's dream). He even mentioned we should shoot him/Stride a text in 1-2 weeks to let him know if our attic ant issue is resolved. Thank you Burton! I tend to dismiss those reviews since they don't really have much skin in the Yelp game. There were just two elite reviews and that was a red flag to me as well. Nonetheless, I decided to give this company a chance and got a same day appointment to rid us of our carpenter ant issue. We've had carpenter ants running up and down our garage exterior for a long time and in the last few days we've had flying ants show up in our living room. It was time to bring in the pros. One thing you need to be aware of is that you can schedule an appointment for this service, but like most pest control companies, they will insist on a quarterly service agreement on top of the initial service. Our initial service cost was $134 which included a $75 discount that came with a $53 monthly payment for each quarterly visit. That comes to over $700 a year ( not including termite issue) for the basic service which does not apply to fire ants. Since I accepted the discounted initial service I had to sign up for a years worth of service before I had the option to cancel. That's something you need to keep in mind because that's a lot of money just to snuff out a few ants. The one and done service doesn't really pay the bills, it's the subscription service that drives the business. My same day appointment was scheduled between noon and three, they ( tech +trainee) showed up shortly after two. I let the tech know about the ant issue and we walked around the perimeter of the property while he swept away wasp nests. Inside he sprayed some powder in the upstairs attic while looking for any possible rodent infestation. The tech did spot some termite activity at the corner of the garage. After spraying the perimeter and infected areas with poison, he then treated the yard with ant bait that looked like Andro. We decided against spraying chemicals indoors due to sensitivities. The discovery of termites greatly added to the bill as pictured below. I'll go ahead and get the termite service and the quarterly check up during the contract period. I thought I would include all the bills and pertinent information so that you can get some idea of what you might experience. One thing that did catch me off guard was that after they left, I received a brief survey which then led me to a tip screen for the tech. It's not that he didn't deserve a tip, it was just the first time I had seen this form of online solicitation. Overall great experience with knowledgeable and friendly techs, not real happy about being funneled into a monthly payment plan for quarterly visits, but we'll see where that leads. I thought I had a critter in my attic. The guy from A-Tex quoted me $2700 to bring a trap and to…read morescreen off the vents. Sounds like a plan, right? Well, he told me none of my vents were screened, told me all the covers on my less than year old home were plastic. Fortunately I had my home inspection for my 1-yr warranty the following week so I decided to wait to see what the inspector said so I could have the builder cure anything possible. Absolutely zero evidence of anything having been in my attic, zero entry points. Inspector confirmed the covers on the vents are metal and not plastic and that every single vent is already screened. I'm not sure what the guy from A-Tex saw but I trust my inspector more. Just to be safe I had another estimate from a pest company done and they confirmed what my inspector said. Very disappointed and confused about what feels now like a scare tactic with this company. I've never experienced a critter situation before so I felt trusting but now I know to get a second opinion for stuff like this always. I'm sure they help people but my personal experience will keep me from considering them again in the future.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter), they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

As the highest rated pest control business in the city, I had high expectations for their service…read morebased on their online reputation. Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis.
