A complimentary bread basket then arrived along with a carafe of tap water immediately after and then my beer in an ice bucket. In about 5 minutes after ordering, the entree arrived in a metal skillet bowl. This dish looked very good with some green onions on top of the milk chocolate gravy and meat. Taste wise it was winner. The duck was very tender and the gravy flavorful on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. With the supplied french bread this made for a hearty meal. The table service was also very friendly and efficient. Comptoir de l'Arc is a good place to eat.

The service was helpful and pretty fast in getting everything out. They also were helpful in guiding us around the menu as we were struggling on translating some items. We ordered the steak with chimichurri and the Duck Confit; neither disappointed! This was my first time trying duck confit and I'm afraid it set quite the high standard. Duck was slow brined to perfection, and had a really nice crispy skin all around. Their potatoes were also pretty delicious; little gold coins cut almost as thin as a potato chip, but still with a warm soft inside. As for critiques, I really have none. If you are in this neck of the woods and are looking for an authentic experience that wont break the bank, I highly recommend you stop by Comptoir and give them a shot.

First of all it's difficult to eat here due to its popularity. A name will buy you that. I arrived on time and was promptly seated. The menu is fairly simple with about 4-5 options each for your starter, main and dessert for a 55€ price without drink. I ordered Walt's salad followed by the sea bass and then pineapple upside down cake to finish. All 3 of the foods were servings on the smaller side and none of them stood out to me. They looked pretty on the plate but taste wise warranted no more than a 3 score. I almost gave a 2 score for these reasons. First with a soft drink the bill for this lunch was 61€. That is expensive and especially so for the small servings and average taste. The second problem was time. After I was seated it took 15 minutes for the waitress to appear. Then after ordering it took 20 minutes for the salad to be delivered. Then 30 minutes after finishing the salad the main course was brought to the table. Then after finishing the main, I requested for the dessert to be delivered and it took 10 more minutes and then when finished with the meal it took another 15 minutes for the bill to be brought to me for payment. That lunch took about 1.5 hours from start to finish and I didn't come to Disneyland Paris to spend most of my time eating an overpriced lunch. I know that meals are slow in France however the Park is only open for so many hours in a day and diners don't have time to spend most of it in this restaurant, This meal should have lasted no more than 1 hour. I should have known this wasn't going to be a good experience when the menu was delivered to me. The front cover was faded and worn (see pic). A good restaurant wouldn't let that happen. Poor Walt must be turning over in his grave knowing this.

If it truly was a fish scale, then this would clearly indicate cross-contamination. Yes, we were also served sea bass as another main course, but there was a dish in between, and the silverware was changed before the Bresse capon was served. This explanation therefore made little sense. I was not expecting this level of service at a one-Michelin-star restaurant. That said, aside from this incident, the meal itself was entertaining, servers were friendly and the dessert was excellent. Love the ambiance, each plates were so unique. The setting is super cute in a boutique hotel, and everything is simple/modern but elegant. They do a €41 3 course pre-fixe, with some options for upgrades / add ons based on the daily specials. They start you with fresh bread, house pate, and cornichons. The wine list has quite a few reasonably priced Bordeauxs, Burgundies, and Cote du Rhones. First course: Creamed squid ink risotto with garlic, prawns, ham, and "la vache qui rit" (Laughing Cow cheese) emulsion. The risotto texture was good, and the emulsion was super flavorful. Prawns were cooked just right, and the ham texture was good, too. Main course: Pan fried veal filet - with green peas, carrots, meat juice, sweet potato puree. The filet was well seasoned and tender. My dining companions got the duck special with figs and mushrooms, and everyone loved it. Dessert: Warm Grand Marnier souffle - super light and airy, good Grand Marnier flavor, slight sugar crust, not too sweet They finish you off with some madelines with the check. We shared a tortelli started and ordered 2 entrees: chicken and fish. They were also generous in bring us 2 fun amuse bouches. Overall, everything was made with great care, and you could close your eyes and taste each individual ingredient and flavor in each dish. There are likely nicer and fancier Michelin restaurants in Paris, but we were satisfied with the experience at the price point.

Ordered the 6-course tasting menu and it was merely okay. I'm not sure if I agree with their 2020 Bib Gourmand rating from the Michelin guide. None of the dishes, in particular, stood out. Our waiter informed us of the 3 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 dessert for the 6-course tasting. The beef carpaccio and scallop appetizers were okay. The carrot appetizer was odd with a super salty lobster bisque. I didn't quite under the black truffles as a main course. The chicken main course was okay. I've had juicier chicken from Automne. The dessert course was a touch odd, especially with such strong flavors from the grapefruit.
