Wow, so many great things to say about this place. It was my last meal in Paris, and it seems the best was saved for last. The restaurant is clean, mostly black and white, quite elegant in spite of not requiring a dress code. You will most likely need a reservation; some folks who showed up at the door without were turned away. They serve a 3 course prix-fixe menu for 37 euros that is robbery, specifically we the diners are robbing this place. To start, you are served a complimentary pork terrine with country bread and pickle. The terrine is excellent; if you arrive early enough, they hand you the entire container for you to cut as much as you'd like for yourself. It is tempting to eat too much terrine; you must resist. The squid ink risotto starter is very smooth with relatively mild squid ink flavor to go with the equally mild cheese foam; it's a sharp contrast to the very flavorful sauteed shrimp, thin strips of ham, and wonderful deep-fried garlic slices. More fried garlic slices, please!!! The well-known roasted pork belly is not for the faint of heart; it is 1) a very large portion, 2) still very rich in spite of rendering in the oven, and 3) covered in delicious crispy skin. The green pea puree and julienned carrot strings are just barely enough to pace you through this lavish dish. The soufflé, which would be crazy to include in a prix-fixe menu in the US without an additional charge, was like eating a perfectly baked airy cloud of Grand Marnier, of which an entire shot must go in because they are not subtle with it. And to top it off, there were complimentary madeleines, a little bit overdone for my tastes but as a result there was a slight hit of caramelized sugar with each bite. The staff are very friendly as a whole and look to ensure that you have a enjoyable experience. They were so nice, one of the servers even sent me off with a couple slices of their wonderful terrine for the road, free of charge. Now I just need to find a way to bring it back to California tomorrow...

This place was amazing! From the start to end of our meal we were drooling and astounded by the quality of the food. We are on our first trip to Paris, and being that we don't speak much French, the English speaking wait staff and menu was greatly appreciated. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and food came out quickly. However, the ambience is quite lovely so we wouldn't have minded waiting for our food a little longer Parisian style. We both had the pri-fixed meal, my husband enjoyed the scallops for starters, braised beef cheek (OMG YUM) for his entree, and the rice pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. My meal included the veal carpaccio for the first course, the pork belly for my entree and the grand marnier soufflé for dessert. The meal also started with a complimentary pork pate, bread, and the most delicious pickled vegetables I've ever had. Also, at the end of the meal they bring delicious madeleines for the perfect finish with your espresso. The plating was just beautiful, and the portions were perfect, we left with very happy bellies. Highly recommended!

It was our last night in Paris, so we decided to indulge one last time. It's a cozy little place but was surely packed all night. Good sign. Prix Fix was the only option so,.... Tomato soup for starters, delicious and refreshing. Pork breast (French for giant slab of uncured bacon!) was an unapologetically fatty juicy braised chunk of pampered pig. And for dessert, a cheese selection that was just enough to finish off my meal. Now I can go back home happy. And go on a week long cleanse,...

I took a food tour of Paris and while I tried many great dishes, La Regalade Conservatoire gave me my "wow" moment. You know the one, when you bite into a dish for the first time and the taste of the food on your tongue mingles with the aroma of the restaurant itself, and they both dance in time to the sounds of the very place you happen to be dining in. It happened for me here and it was a wonderful way to end my Paris trip. I had a tempura poached egg that I will never forget, a chicken stuffed with veggies to die for. The menu changes often, but I doubt they could ever disappoint. This is the french food experience I was searching for.

Beautiful, clean décor. A fantastic menu, good classic cocktails, and friendly service. I indulged myself in a dinner here while staying at a hotel nearby, and it was an all around delight. The chocolate tart is not for the faint of heart--I couldn't actually get through it on my own after both an appetizer and main course. Overall, a great choice and a memorable meal in Paris.

Throughout our trip from Provence, Basque Country and Paris, I joked that they must hate me for ordering my beef med b/c it was so much tougher compared to our beef. Anyway, it's just different. Our server spoke English fluently and was such a hoot...full of personality & joy. Per his recommendation, we ordered it med-rare b/c it continues cooking table side on the sizzling platter. We ate too much. It's a lot of food to split the cote de boeuf btn two. Comes with very good chubby fries and 3 sauces. TBH, I didn't love the sauces. Luckily we walked 6miles that day and skipped lunch. Started with a garden salad, but sadly we had no room for dessert. Reservations via email. We managed to get a 9pm reso, last minute, I bet due to a cancellation. They have 2seatings...6pm & 9pm.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. That's not acceptable. The food, however, was. Hence my difficulty in giving one rating. Our 3 dishes tried were indeed solid. Generous servings of seafood in the bouillabaisse, and I have no qualms whatsoever with my cuise de grenouille and foie gras salads. Bread kept us alive. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
