While the space was small, the project was fairly complex. They turned what was a rudimentary laundry area with side by side machines, pedestal sink and separate water closet into a beautiful full bathroom with tiled shower and separate laundry area with stacked W/D. It looks fantastic! The scope included moving and installing new plumbing, building walls to create the new bathroom space, all new electrical and lighting installation, build out of the shower pan and curb, all floor and wall tile, old window removal and new window installation in the shower, waterproofing, new gyp board throughout, mudding and taping, plus a variety of other details. Rami Albert and his team are highly professional and true craftspersons. They offered excellent creative suggestions for several of the design elements and were patient when I'd occassionally change my mind or take extra time to make a decision. There was a lot of comfort in knowing they were exceptionally skilled in tile and stone, as the project had a lot of tile (2" black hex on the floor and 4x6" white subway tile on three of the bathroom walls) and a custom granite-topped shower curb. They also created a gorgeous custom shower niche using the black floor tile as a contrast, and sleek black metal edging around the window and niche, as well as on the wall edge and on top of the tile baseboard. The result is modern and clean, yet still draws on the Victorian elements of the home. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. It was a pleasure seeing and chatting with Rami, Jose, Jaime and Manual throughout the process. It was fun to have them around and after each long day they'd do an excellent job cleaning up. Clean-up is a litmus test for a construction team and they passed with flying colors! I highly recommend Albert Tile & Fine Stone and look forward to working with them on future projects.
