I was excited to work with them given the good reviews, but the quality was definitely a rush job. Promised a 3-4 day job, but instead did it in 2. Caught on camera many skipped steps, leading to rough edges almost everywhere. Rushed me to pay before I could review the work in person, then when I provided feedback he said (exact text): - "To me you sound ungrateful given the fact that I've made concessions for you." And then progressed to threatening me (exact text): - "Remember dude, what goes around, will come back around.. That's just the law of life." If you're looking for a rough job and assorted threats afterwards, this is probably the go-to-place. Update: Since the owner of the company decided to reply with a fanciful story, I went ahead and updated the review with photos. The crew painted kitchen cabinets and put up the cabinet doors back up two hours later, which of course resulted in marred paint in many places. This is the kind of work he was trying to hide, rushing me to pay. Even the small bits of his response are lies. He did not "consult his wife". When I provided feedback, and then wasn't available for a phone call right away, he texted me with: "But because you haven't answered the phone, you just confirmed to me what type of person you really are! This review is overdue, but the Citibay team painted our house in October 2025 and did a great job. Wil was responsive and helpful, answered all my questions, and didn't waste any time coming out to provide an estimate or getting started on the house. Antonio was the lead on site and led an extremely efficient and conscientious team. The whole exterior paint job (from power washing to completing the walkways) took about seven days for our 1.5 story stucco house, including a repair on a stucco retaining wall. I reached out to three painting companies in the Bay Area for estimate. Citibay was quick to respond. Wil was very professional, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and understood my wishes to paint my single family house and an ADU. Our back and forth of ideas left me feeling very good about hiring his company. Before I even received all three estimates, I was leaning towards going with Citibay. Wil's team painted the exterior of my house earlier this month. I chose his team for their price quote and easy communication. Pros: 1. Like many of the reviews here, Wil was very easy to work with and responsive when I reached out with questions and comments. He explained many things clearly, and this helped for a novice of the painting world like myself. He was patient as well, especially when I had limits with my bank being able to send him the payments in full. 2. Wil's team did a great job from washing the house, sanding down or replacing some parts of the problematic wood, and then painting. I am very satisfied with the work. 3. They finished quickly. Originally, Wil said it may take up to 6 days, but they finished in 4.5! Areas for improvement: 1. I would have preferred quicker communication between the team and Wil for updates on the project. While the team finished the job quickly, I didn't find out that they would be done until the day of. I was already at work and wasn't able to be home to do the walk-through before the guys cleaned up and left. However, I appreciated Wil for his willingness to come again the next day to look at the house with me. 2. As mentioned, the team did a great paint job. However, I noticed that there was leftover trash here and there including the old wood that was taken down and some nails. Some of the planters and tool holders were moved onto the grass but not returned to the original position (or at least off the grass). I ended up having to walk around to check and gather things to throw in the trash as well as move things back. All in all, the job was well done, and my family is satisfied! My girlfriend and I recently purchased a condo in the Hayward area, and we wanted to repaint the interior prior to moving in to get rid of the 20-some year old musty yellows and greens. I'd had an approximate figure in mind based on my research when I reached out for quotes on Yelp, and Wil from Citibay responded within minutes with some appropriate follow-up questions based on my request. We scheduled a site walk for the following a day (a late Saturday morning I believe). Wil was very friendly and personable during the walk, and took careful observations of the existing conditions and pointed out a couple of oddities that I hadn't even noticed. He sent me a message later that evening with a finalized quote, which was right in line with my estimate. After reviewing my options a day and a half later, I'd decided his good communication skills and his extreme professionalism during the site walk had won me over, and we scheduled to start painting 3 days later (my girlfriend and I needed a few more days to finalize color selections, we ended up with 7 colors). Wil was very communicative the entire time, and his team was able to work just fine without my needing to be on the premises. I stopped by a couple of times throughout the process to drop off a couple of things and check out the progress. I caught one small unpainted portion of wall under a counter during one of these visits, which I notified Wil about, and his team immediately rectified it. They started work on a Thursday morning, and were finished by the following Tuesday afternoon in our 1400 sf unit. All in all, Wil and his team did a fantastic job with the paint - The edges are clean and the paint is even, and my girlfriend is thrilled with how the colors turned out. She also mentioned to me how happy she was with some of the decisions Wil's team had made on how some of the colors in the kitchen would terminate.
