don't shop here unless you are a plant expert and know EXACTLY what you want. I worked 65 hours this week I have 4 jobs . ITS BEEN A TOUGH WEEK ! to say the least . Plants make me extremely happy and I said to myself I can spare $100 to buy some plants instead of going out to eat or to the movies ... nowadays you have to choose wisely! I walked in , and right away found an employee I was looking for some outdoor plants for my porch , the first employee kind of brushed me off pointing me towards flowers and I said I'm kind of looking for vines or leafy plants , she snickered and said OVER THERE . so I just reiterated like in the back corner ? she pointed to 2 customers and where they were and said there . I said okay... I grabbed something I liked . and then I wanted to find some vines . I asked a young lady who didn't know much which is totally okay so she asked over the walkie and another employee commented but almost as if I was an idiot ? I'm not a plant expert thus I was seeking help, I then asked for a manager cause at this point I'm upset , spoke to a woman who apologized for the way I felt but not the way her staff treated me. and instead of taking the initiative to show me she kind of just looked at me dumb founded . not the greatest experince , which was kind of crappy. honestly . I don't mind going to Home Depot but I live in the area and said let me support a local business , local to me that is . all is well. I just want to remind people that you never know what's going on in someone's life . if a customer chooses your store to spend there hard earned money let's treat them with kindness and be courteous . the one young lady the youngest of them all , she needs a raise . she was kind . and with what's going on in the world today kindness is a high ticket item. thank you for your time . do better agway in Dennis Ma ! read more

I love the store, but the way they treat their animals is horrible, specifically the fish. The last two times I've been in there a good portion of the fish are either dead or dying. Seriously, it's bad enough you keep the fish in a plastic aquarium with the volume of a soda can, but you leave dead fish floating on their backs and dying fish just float there, suffering. These are living creatures, not playthings. Take care of your animals, or stop selling them! read more

I purchased petunias for window flower boxes and they all died - there were bugs in the flowers - I purchased the flowers and soil from Agway. The flowers had insects and died - $100 worth of flowers all dead in 2 weeks read more

What a great selection of Lawn & Garden supplies and a super helpful staff they have. They have anything you need for your pets and farm supplies as well. I get some of the best help ever here and always know they will have it in stock or be getting it on their next delivery. I have tried Baskins Ace Hardware down the road but found the help you get is not nearly as good and the prices are higher too! I have met the owners and they are so down to earth it just makes me not want to buy anywhere else in Dennis. read more

After the latest nor'easter, we'd been out of power for three miserable days, and having parked myself outside a shuttered library for its internet I'd spent an hour catching up on email and was chilled to the bone, with near-dead laptop -- so when a friend mentioned Agway had charging stations on offer, I headed over. Not only was I greeted at the door, but they seemed genuinely happy that I'd shown up to settle in the cozy area they'd set up for people like me. One of the staff even got me a cup of hot water for my tea and reminded me to help myself to a snack on the hospitality coffee table. For the next hour I charged my phone and laptop and did my work, and every time a staff person passed I was greeted or smiled at. I'd come in a refugee and left feeling like a guest. I will never forget this kindness and generosity, and I will make Agway my first stop on all things garden and hardware related. read more

I have lived on Cape my whole life and know the community here very well. I usually shop at the Agway in Orleans and am always very impressed with their knowledgeable and helpful staff. However today, I unfortunately went to the Dennis location and will NEVER go back there in my life. A woman behind the checkout who wore a huge Sunhat, had extremely red cheeks and acted as if her s*** didn't stink was extremely rude and acted as if she was better than anyone who crossed in her path. After waiting in line I happily asked a simple question about dog food to this woman, to which she gave me some round about answer that made no sense to the question I was asking then simply walked away dismissing me completely, I tried to politely ask her again and she ignored me completely!!. She seemed to be the manager or acted as if she was..I will never ever return to this location and really hope this awful woman seeks a job else where..perhaps behind a desk where she can hide that awful face. read more

Such a great place for a huge array of garden and pet supplies, while knowing you're also shopping at a store owned by LOCALS!! I love any of their locations in Chatham, Dennis and Orleans. Love this place for the selection of plants and everything you need for your yard/garden, BUT yesterday (Friday) the service was disappointing in the garden section . Asked a question a simple planting question and was looked at with blank stares by several young adults. Question was , should I do anything special when planting hydrandia's.
