Went to the Midland website to book appt as new patient and was forced to use their 3rd party booking system to give all my personal information and medical information. I received confirmation by the system as well as Midland that the appt was confirmed and received updates/reminders for the appt right up to the appt time. When I arrived in the office I was told there is no appt for me and they don't have my paperwork. After insisting that I have confirmation and showing it, the Manager came over and told that they do have the paperwork, but she just received it yesterday from their system. I filled it out several days prior - not really my problem and no one contacted me to say there was a problem, which is why I took time off work to go to the appt. The manager was more interested in blaming me and arguing and when I was begging for resolution and to see someone else, she thought it was appropriate to tell me she could get me in at 1:30 but I wasn't listening to her so now she felt I wasn't a fit for the office! Really, you're supposed to be here for the patients' well-being and your office made mistakes, made me believe I had a confirmed appt, but now you're going to be spiteful and deny me to see the doctor? The receptionist even had enough decency and humanity to see this was wrong, she said we'll rebook you with a different doctor for 1:30pm. I go out to my car and cancel some meetings to return to Midway at 1:30pm. I get a call ten minutes later saying the higher up manager Angelica feels that I'm not a fit for this Medical Center and they are cancelling the second appt. I just broke down and cried at this moment because I'm new to the area and a have had a difficult time finding a doctor that was going to be a gay men's health doctor/advocate so I had high hopes for this office and have several health issues that need to be addressed and waited almost a week for the appt only to be met with the most unprofessional, erratic, mean, and cold staff. With the exception of the receptionist, it's frightening these individuals are in healthcare! I would NOT recommend this Medical Center at all especially if you're expecting a caring compassionate team, this isn't it at all. If the Doctors and Providers approve of this treatment to patients before they're even seen, then reasonably no one is a fit for this Medical Center!

(At least I knew I had a week to get some of the weight off before I had to weigh in!) When I first went to Senior Medical Associates I had a male doctor but shortly after I found myself faced with Dr. Abigail Lomarda. Okay I am old school at 81 years old and though I have always been pro women I had never had a female primary doctor. Within minutes the other doctor was forgotten and when I returned this time I was very happy to see Dr. Lomarda. She is always ready to listen to my complaints--and what old people don't have them?--to explain different illnesses I have (and I have them!), to go over my test results so that I understand what is going on and, if need be, adjust meds. I will still have transportation problems--heck I finally got a cell phone just to get the uber app--but I plan staying with Sandra, Dr. Lomarda and Senior Medical Associates. Now if I could only get them to throw out the scale!!

I was at a Quest lab one time that police intervention was needed. No fun. The staff at Out Patient Lab are true professionals, polite friendly and helpful. The waiting areas are exceptionally roomy and clean. The staff of philatelists are top notch, quickly and efficiently doing their jobs. They've usually managed to get my vein on onetry; a rarity elsewhere.

And they receive support from their own Foundation. Headquartered in Los Angels, they have health care centers around the US. Once you become a patient, not only are your medical needs related to HIV/AIDS addressed, but they take a holistic approach to primary care, and an extensive network of specialists. They draw your bloods and send directly to Quest Labs for processing. They have social workers and various advocates and counselors on staff to assist patients with all of their needs. This particular center was opened in this location at the beginning of 2024. The prior negative reviews on Yelp referred to a different center, overseen and managed by staff who are no longer present. The facility is immaculate, lots of natural light, pleasant staff, and two medical doctors with board certifications in infectious diseases and AIDS. Many staff are bi-lingual or triple lingual. No one is turned away. It is a remarkable resource for the community. Oh, they also have their own pharmacy, so no need to go to a pharmacy to have your HIV related med prescriptions filled. And they also provide a variety of vaccinations. And my Peer Specialist, Mr. Frank Cohen is an exceedingly compassionate man who truly makes the uncomfortable questioning experience far more tolerable and comfortable. I'd also like to praise Miss Roz, from the check in desk as one of the best employees I've known since I've been a patient at Care Resource. My only complaint is the appointment system can be annoying but I do favor that they aleays call back when requested. And I wish in times of non-critical emergency but still medically worrisome that I'd be able to reach my doctor somewhat easier. With blood work and fasting, the push back and delays, are more noticeable as your fasting stretches until you see the phlebotomy nurse. Everything seems to be routine from check in to check out, and the doctor visit in between. This medical group is recommended and highly professional. You can follow your health progress on line with their app, schedule appointments, refill prescriptions and communicate with nurse and doctor from the convenience of your laptop or smart phone. Parking is available and close to the entrance, Valet parking is available if needed or inclement weather.

A female from your office called me and offered up all this info. I didn't think HRT was ever covered, so I was happy to be told this. Why would your staff say, without being asked, "We take insurance, and there is only a copy for the initial visit and blood work?" Your office obviously does a bait and switch. This is no joke. Some of us have to budget very carefully with out of pocket expenses. At least other places are honest - it costs a lot! You wasted my time and lied!

Many others were attempting to treat them independently, but I was never "well".
