I was not a fan. I had to ask the massage person 4 times to increase the pressure. It still was not that great. I also had another service that was average. It was the body buffing/scrub. Nothing was a wow factor. On top of that, it was quite creepy to me all of the little gods and statues everywhere. Felt more like some sort of temple worship place. Was quite over the top for me and I felt uncomfortable with all of the crystals and statues lining the halls and walls. read more

Ahlara International is an absolute gem. It's peaceful, beautifully curated, and full of high-quality crystals. The selection was huge and layered with beautiful jewelry. Alyssa was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, helping me find pieces that truly aligned with what I needed. No upsell or over talk, she just listened, offered insight and let the stones speak for themselves. The selection is large, labeled with origin and energetic properties, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and intentional. Would highly recommend! read more

I took a Me Day to visit this spa. I have a Esthetician colleague that has visited here. Yes, we need pampering as well. I set up am appointment and paid in advance. Beautiful facility. I felt calm upon entry. I missed partaking in tea of some sort. Would be a nice touch. My Therapist was Erin. She did an excellent job. The spa does sound baths, reiki, and other meditation rituals. They also have a nice retail space that has crystals, sage, and the like. Prices are very reasonable. I will return! read more

This review is specifically for Jill who gives the most magical facials. I have been going to her for.... For so long I refuse to say how long, because it will age me! Luckily, between her microderms and peels you'd never guess my age. Sorry Jill, I know this review is a long time coming. But after having another relaxing facial this evening, I thought it was time to give credit where credit is due. I have had facials at pretty much every resort I've ever stayed at and yet Jill gets my skin glowing like no other. Thank you for another amazing experience Jill! See you next month read more

I spent the day at Ahlara with my 92 year old mother for a at of bliss! What a treat. Erica was our massage therapist and she was phenomenal. She is new to the spa so we didn't know what to expect. She really knows bodies and knew exactly what each of us needed. We will definitely request her when we return. We also had body scrubs and enjoyed the dry float bed. It's like floating in air. The new owners are lovely and so friendly. We've been clients for years and the spa and boutique are better than ever! Thanks for a great mother-daughter experience! read more

Ahlara International - Lobby entrance - Day Spas Near Me - Mooresville, North Carolina

Great little gem in Mooreville, if you're looking for a nice relaxing spa day this is the place to go!

I have been to Ahlara twice, both times for a spa day package. The staff are super nice and make sure that you are comfortable. I have always been happy with the massages and the rooms are relaxing. They have soft music playing and it shuts out any outside noise so you can truly relax. I have also received mani/pedis and facials and was impressed with how long the polish has lasted. My husband has purchased the spa packages for me and I can definitely say that they are an amazing gift to give someone you love. read more

Ahlara International is like a beautiful box of assorted sweets! The Spa is AMAZING! I especially love the deep tissue massage offered by Carolyn...perhaps I shouldn't include that because she's so awesome maybe I shouldn't help her become MORE popular! :-) They also have the dreamiest facials, soothing pedicures and while I've not yet had my nails done there, I've see some lovely manicures in others! Oh yes, they have a FABULOUS boutique! High quality clothing ranging from BoHo to elegant to fun "Lake" fashion. Alissa and the other wonderful ladies there will assist in completing an outfit from their array of colorful accessories. If that's not enough, the shop is also a crystal lovers Heaven on Earth! Overwhelming almost so don't hesitate to ask for help or just allow yourself to enjoy the energies of the stones and be inspired! Last but NOT least...they have awesome classes and events too! My husband & I went for a couples massage for Valentine's weekend and it was very nice. They have awesome packages for special occasions that include massage, sauna, etc. It was my first experience in a sauna and I actually did not know all the benefits you can get until I read the info they provided....so I learned something in the process. Ahlara International - My feet feel wonderful - Day Spas Near Me - Mooresville, North Carolina

I book at least one of their monthly specials, usually a body scrub or body wrap every month. I've had their facials a couple times, a pedicure once and had a massage once. I didn't enjoy the massage so I go elsewhere for that. But everything else is great. Amanda is a wonderful aesthetician, very knowledgeable about skin and she has such a relaxing manner about her. I'm going to be a regular. read more

Two weeks ago I called and scheduled an appointment for 12:30. I gave them my home phone # and cell #. When I arrived at 12:10, I was whisked in and told that the appointment was for 12:00--that they had to change it and they texted me. I told them that I'd never received a text and they told me the number they texted--a phone number that I haven't had in 5 years. Apparently they didn't update my info when I made my appointment. They called my home line yesterday to confirm the appointment, but spoke with my husband and said nothing about changing the appointment time. That should have been explicitly stated. I tried to ask questions, but the front desk ladies were like, "Let's go, Let's go. We need to get started!" About 3 minutes into the massage, I told the massuse that I was sorry, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind for a massage. I was very upset that they hadn't made contact with me. When a business makes a change to an appointment, they need to make two-way contact with customer. A text that isn't responded to isn't confirmation. Calling someone's husband to confirm an appointment and not mentioning that the time has been adjusted isn't acceptable. I tipped the massuse because it wasn't her fault and I understand that this is her income, and spoke to the manager, saying that this shouldn't be standard business practice. She said that they did make contact with me and, "It seems there has been a breakdown in the communication." That's not even true. THEY NEVER NOTIFIED ME THAT THE TIME HAD BEEN CHANGED. They sent a text to cyberspace and said nothing to my husband about it. The manager could have at least said, "I'm sorry. We regret this happened." She was very unprofessional and nonchalant. She could have cared less. She did nothing to try to make it right. Ahlara's handling of this situation was rushing me into a spa experience and telling me that it'd only be cut short by 5 minutes. This was on our anniversary weekend. What a bummer. read more

Ahlara is my favorite place to get a massage in Lake Norman. A few nice touches include: a zen room for relaxing before and after a massage, hot tea, sauna (free with the purchase of a massage), and a shower, locker room, robes, and flip flops so you don't have to undress in the massage room. Their massages are 60 minutes (not 50 minutes, like so many other places), and longer options are also available. I have had several massages there and have never been displeased. My favorite massage -- and a massage that is unique to Ahlara -- is the Abhyanga. This massage has two therapists using synchronized motions to provide you with an extremely relaxing massage. It is totally worth the $140 charge! Erin is my absolute favorite massage therapist, and she is one of the therapists who does the Abhyanga. I like my massages slow and with a light touch, and she never fails to provide me with exactly what I ask for. Ahlara is a great place to go, and I highly recommend them! read more

Ahlara offers top level service in spa like services such as massage, reflexology and facials. At the same time, yoga is offered as well and there is an excellent women's clothing store with many unusual items. To top it off, they often bring in spiritual leaders of many backgrounds which keeps things quite interesting for a place like Mooresville. International spiritual tours are offered as well. Really happy that we have a place like this in Mooresville. read more

Love this spa. Whenever I am in Lenoir visiting I always go out of my way to arrange for a spa day. I have had massages, facials, and body scrubs. This last visit I went with a group of 5 others and had to change my appointment date kind of last minute Nancy from the spa was extremely helpful in getting everything set up. read more

I had been a regular customer for over 4 year - regular as in having at least one service a month (facial), with the occasional extra treatment, such as a pedicure or massage. I have also brought in new clients. Last Saturday they had a scheduling conflict with the sauna, and three (!!) of their employees bullied me out of the sauna 10 minutes before my time was up! They treated me like I had done something wrong. Had they told me there was a problem, I would have been happy to forego my sauna visit and accepted a rain check. Whatever happened to customer service? Severed all my ties with them. read more

It was an amazing, relaxing experience. I felt like a new person when I left!!

Truly outstanding! I took my best friend here for facials and massages her birthday and we were blown away. I am 40 with dull skin and hyperpigmentation. She is 36 with extremely sensitive skin and some sun damage. She was scared to have a facial because everything breaks her out. I've been to spas and paid much more, but we both awoke the next day to incredibly clear, improved skin. The lead esthetician Maureen is the most knowledgeable and intuitive I have ever experienced. The spa has organic, nutritive facial products that smell like fresh fruits and herbs...and they work! The atmosphere is very zen like - Eastern Medicine and healing. Very upscale. Robes and linens are clean and luxurious. There is a zen den to relax and await your next treatment while you sip hot tea or water with fresh citrus. A locker area to store your things and a shower area if you want to freshen up after your treatments. Shop around in the boutique for uncommon and unique goods while you wait. The whole place smells amazing! The massage therapists are truly superb. We had the shanti package with hot moist towels. Incredibly affordable compared to Ballantyne, Ritz Carlton, or Umstead and worth every penny, especially if you enjoy the healing modalities of Eastern medicine. I purchased several products from the Image, Eminence, and Farm House Fresh lines. I will be going back with my daughter and again with my friends as soon as possible. I just can't say enough good things about my experience. Outstanding! read more

This was not only a spa but it was an experience. The facials are beyond amazing and I have never felt such care for my hands and feet than the mani pedi. And I was so relaxed when getting my massage. And don't get me started in that zen den. It had tea, coffee and lemon water in which I was greeted with outside my spa room! Overall, 10/5 !!! read more

RELAXING... This Day Spa is simply an amazing environment. As soon as you walk through the front door, you feel transported to another culture across the world. There is no "rushed" feeling in this Zen-like setting, and you are allowed to just enjoy your visit. Their prices are similar to other day spas, but in my opinion, their services are of better quality. You also hardly ever have to wait longer that 5 min for your scheduled appointment. This place is not just a spa, its an experience! read more
