The contacts he gave me were always horrible. I tried telling him but he would just say my prescription is hard to match. However, this doctor took the time to check the SHAPE of my eyes. She explained the my right eye is different from my left, and prescribed the CORRECT fitting lenses. She's great.

They were able to get me a same-day appointment, as this was classified as an emergency. Dr. James Hirschfeld and all his people were phenomenal. With his care and recommendations, the eye started clearing up immediately. Staff was courteous and I didn't have to wait to get my eyes checked. Dr. Levinson is very knowledgeable and explained things (the retina pictures) that no other optometrist I've seen explained to me before. He listened to my concerns regarding my previous prescription and tried to offer solution or just helped me accept the fact that my eyes are old haha. They have a good selection of eye glasses. Not as much as chain like LensCrafters but I had no problem picking what I liked. They staff help me understand what my insurance cover and also filled out all the paperwork and make sure I have the receipt I need to get a $50 rebate from VSP. She didn't have to as I didn't even know there was a rebate. Glasses were ready in less than 2 weeks and I've never paid so little for my glasses.

He is one of few eye doctors who look into your eyes via excellent equipment and can catch not only issues with your eyes but other diseases before you or your GP knows you are sick. Many eye diseases are neurodegenerative so catching eye issues early and coaching someone to stop progression through proven nutrition and supplements will also help people fend diseases like dementia, MS, etc. as well as blindness. Dr. Lane is also kind and patient in coaching patients to do all of the right things to have healthy eyes, mind and body. The key is that patients need to heed his advice.
