Dr. Alboher is friendly, knowledgeable, and an expert in his craft. He performed IPL and meibomian gland probing on me, both of which have helped me immensely in my dry eye journey. His staff was also wonderful and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Alboher and plan on seeing him yearly for maintenance.

I am so pleased with Dr. Hoffman and my current eye health that I come back to NJ annually (from Florida, where I now live) to see him -- YES, he is that good (as is everyone connected with this practice). Between…read moreunnecessary lens enhancements, absurdly overpriced faux designer frames and other miscellaneous nonsense, this is an industry which hardly inspires confidence. Perhaps not as bad as buying household furniture or insurance, the wise are nonetheless advised to count their fingers after shaking hands. This office staff is very transparent regarding the "dirty little secrets" of their trade. Until the money is spent, few people know that glasses from reputable manufacturers are guaranteed for a year. Quality lens grinding labs also offer one free "rework" for their product. These assurances cost the dispensing optometrist nothing, yet most charge for their use. Not only does Dr. Arnold have the integrity to not gouge her customers, she carries attractive glasses in all price ranges, and will adjust any glasses obtained from her for a year, also free of charge. I'm happy to report that I experienced none of the negatives in my visits to Dr. Arnold's offices. The doctor's demeanor is calming, patient, positive, relaxed and professional. Further, her recommendation of fundus photography not only avoided the need for pupil dilation, it provided an interesting and interactive view of my retina. The optional process absolutely painless, and was covered by my health insurance. Dr. Arnold is respectful of her patients (never demeaning) and their time, and despite the fact that there were three other patients when I arrived (10 minutes early), nobody was kept waiting. The enthusiasm and positive outlook of the staff seemed to be contagious; patients were mingling as though they each had a cocktail in their hand! I live in the immediate neighborhood, and walked to her offices, so I wouldn't have direct knowledge of parking. I suspect that there is a parking lot behind the building, available parking on the residential side streets and a large (and always empty) retail parking lot a block away. The offices are clean, bright, well organized and welcoming. Vanessa, the office receptionist is always positive, friendly and helpful. She communicates very well, whether face-to-face or by phone. The unsung star of the office, however, is Tuli. Tuli doubles as both office manager and frame stylist; her knowledge of frames is encyclopedic. She has actually collected glasses frames as a hobby for years, and has over 260 pairs in her collection. When this knowledge is pressed into the service of Dr. Arnold's patients, Tuli can make very good recommendations-- and adjust those recommendations to patient preference-- as second nature. Even to this steadfast believer in "function over form," selecting both everyday and prescription sunglasses was a pleasure. Only a minor snafu in coordinating a pickup of both pairs of glasses in the same visit separates this experience from perfection. My suspicion is that this minor glitch might not have even been their doing. I am very pleased with both the services and products of Dr. Arnold and her staff, and recommend them highly.

Went here for an emergency visit. Scheduled and seen for severe eye pain within a day. I sat in the…read morewaiting room for over an hour but it wasn't unexpected, being an urgent visit scheduled pretty last-minute. I was a little worried I wasn't going to be seen before they closed for the night but once we started getting close to closing, the pace started picking up. The tech was super friendly and the doctor was polite, friendly, and knowledgable. He took a look in my eye and found a tiny piece of metal in my iris - no idea how that got there but he numbed my eye on the spot and removed it with some fancy drilling magnet. It was actually kind-of a scary procedure but he talked me through it and I barely noticed how scary it was until after he had removed the object. He set me up with a bunch of samples of solution to help treat lingering pain and a followup visit to make sure everything was okay. Despite the wait it was still a great experience for an urgent visit! Do recommend.

Upon arriving at the office, the assistant at the front desk greeted me with a smile, was friendly and helped make check-in a breeze. During my visit, everyone on the staff, with whom I encountered, was so friendly, professional, helpful, and extremely organized. I immediately felt at ease with everyone in the office and appreciated Dr. Fruchtman's assistant for her kindness while helping me prepare for my eye exam. I also appreciated how Dr. Fruchtman patiently listened to my concerns, took his time while going through the examination, then explaining his recommendations in detail including having his wonderful staff prepare my prescription so I could take it with me when leaving. Dr. Fruchtman is a true professional that is kind, very personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Fruchtman when looking for a highly skilled optometrist.

Went to I to Eye today because unfortunately I am getting older and I have been noticing some…read morevision changes recently. A few weeks ago I went to my primary care physician and explained to him some of the things i was experiencing and he recommended i go to an ophthalmologist. Dont have the time to get into the difference between an optometrist and ophthalmologist, but a Google search will explain that for you. The ophthalmologist I saw diagnosed me with intermittent extropia...which had me concerned but I was told "dont worry about it for now" and was given a new prescription that i could take to get frames/lenses. I wont mentioned the opthalmologist's name (he is a highly rated Dr with a good reputation from what i know, I hold nothing against him, I just was looking for something more out of the visit personally)...Which brings me back to today...I went to see Dr Madeline Fernandez who was able to give me a follow up exam and consultation and talk to me further about the intermittent extropia diagnosis. I have been going to I to Eye since I was about 15 or so, from when the shop was at its prior location just down Broad St (the current office is in the old Lucky Jeans location if you are from the area and remember). I am in my early 40s now...so the office being in Town so long tells you that this business has the support and trust of the community...Primary reason i went to another doctor was based on the recommendation i got from my primary but going to Dr Fernandez to talk to her...i walked away feeling relieved, educated, and confident that my corrective lenses are going to address my problems. She took the time to explain prism lenses to me and progressives which I will be using going forward. The office and optical boutique has plenty of brands and styles to choose from. Arnell and another gentleman (I dont remember his name) helped me pick out my new frames. Arnell was sitting behind a desk and told the other associate "Why dont you show him the Tom Ford glasses with the clip"...Arnell has a great sense of style and knows what I like based off the frames I have now and historically have purchased...he even commented "these frames are very engineer like" which made me chuckle because it was cool that even though I havent been to the office in a few yrs, he still remembers my profession. I absolutely love my new frames and i am excited to get them. Dr Fernandez and Arnell are not only professional but great, kind people/human beings. They just have a calming/relaxed temperament. If you are originally from the area/Westfield you know how often businesses open and close in a short period of time...I am happy that I to Eye has stood the test of time and that I have place I can trust. Having great doctors (such as Dr Fernandez), a great mechanic, a great tailor, and a great go-to local restaurant...just give you a feeling that cant be taken for granted. This review for I to Eye is well overdue. If you need an eye exam or just want to get some stylish frames this is the place to visit!

The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern, and I was pleased that everyone wears masks and patients have to call before entering the offices. Dr. Fejzo was extremely pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable. She spent time explaining everything without trying to sell me extra treatments or products. I haven't felt this comfortable and at ease in a medical environment before and would recommend them highly.
