I haven't been to the dentist in awhile so based off Google reviews, I decided to try this one. First impressions mean a lot to me and when I spoke to the receptionist over the phone, LaToya, she was so friendly and warm. When I went to my appointment, I was greeted by staff and asked to sanitize my hands. I filled out the typical new patient paperwork and was seen by the dental hygienist within a few minutes. What I love about this place is that everything was explained on why they were doing something. Dr. Patterson was the first dentist to make me feel comfortable because he actually explained what he was doing before and while he was doing it. I went in for just a cleaning and check up. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Aicos Dental Group in Garfield, Ohio was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere from the receptionist and the guy right behind them was amazing as always is, never had any issues with them ever they are nice to me. The dentist provider who evidently is the owner Aicos was disrespectful, dismissive, and spoke to me rudely, making the entire visit extremely stressful. The student and I could be wrong with the title tried to take a picture after Aicos the woman did the cleaning, she couldn't get the picture. She tried once and then went into the hallway and asked if someone could push the button for her which is normal had this happen everytime before. Aicos came in and she told the young lady to push the button while she tried to take the picture, I held it, she held it and after 10 times she still could not get the picture. Keep in mind number 6 cut my tongue down the side which I realized when I got outside, I asked her nicely calmly if the young lady could try once and she push the button. I am saying evidently due to her title as a dentist this was disrespectful to her because when I asked she immediately told me that I could get up and leave and they would not submit prior auth's totally wacky. I know I am from Ohio there are plenty of dentist that accept Medicaid and care about the treatment they provide. I have never had this issue here after I have paid my money out of pocket on numerous occasions but I will never go back because I have other options this office will never, ever be one please do not go here there is so much going on but you do not have to be treated with no care and disrespectfully. I went in expecting professional care and basic respect -- instead, I was treated with attitude and condescension. It's disappointing to see this kind of behavior from someone who runs a medical practice. No patient deserves to be talked to this way. If you are looking for a dental office that values compassion, communication, and respect, please go elsewhere. There are many dentists who accept Medicaid and treat their patients with kindness. Unfortunately, this office is not one of them. My family has been at Aicos dental for years, but I was surprised by our most recent experience. The front desk personnel was very very rude to me when I asked if she had taken another patron who was late before myself. She cut me off and raised her voice at me for no reason. Not to mention, their billing has been screwed up for years. They haven't fixed it yet. I was told they would, but it hasn't happend. I'll be seeking a new dentist. Especially since they are only open on Wednesdays in Garfield Heights now. I am done with Aicos dental. I will say, the dentist herself is very good but I have seen her with an attitude with the techs before. read more

I've been going to this office since 2016 me and m kids everything was good up until this week I had a root canal done in 2017 and fast forward on Tuesday I went In because that same tooth the root canal was on was hurting so bad so I seen Aico she claimed it was a whole different tooth long story short it was the tooth with the root canal and it gave me a abscess from her fixing the wrong tooth which I told her it was I fainted the next day call them the black doctor said oh it's your crown had to rush to the othdonist said I would of passed how big the abscess was in my tooth had got pulled now my tooth missing because she was trying to get paid and not listened please question everything they do on you and your kids I'm so insecure my smile is no longer pretty ! UNBELIVABLE! We were referred here by Hudac because my son, who is on the autism spectrum, needed more than they could do. I made an appointment with aAco and they said they confirmed his insurance. We had to reschedule. Aico remade the appointment for 4 weeks out. The appointment is 2 days from now. Aico just called and said "I'm sorry we don't take his insurance, we use to but not now. You can try Hudac". ARE YOU KIDDING ME. YOU NOT ME made this mistake. Do you know what it takes to get someone on the spectrum to go the the dentist? I could have been looking for my son another dentist and had it taken care of by now. Be better and accountable. read more

Great attitude from the dentist definitely takes the edge off for someone nervous about dental work but the billing department is a whole different animal. I have tried 4 times now to get them to bill the correct insurance and all I get is attitude from the so-called office manager in Westlake who obviously doesn't know how to do her job and pawns off responsibility to other people, it's either my unsurances fault or the people who send out the bills all of which I spoke to and all have told me the issue is with her not doing her job correctly. This isn't the first time either, last year I caught her overbilling me over $600 that she tried to lie about either because she is ignorant or too lazy to correct. It took myself and my insurance to do.all the leg work to come up with the correct amount she overbilled me. They really need to look into their staffs poor work ethics before it's too late. read more

I was quoted one rate and paid my copay totaling almost $1,000, only to be sent a bill for an additional $600. I contacted the office with my concerns and their excuse was my co pay was only an estimate. The crowns were filed down to low, and you can see the metal post. I also got a filling and the made the tooth excessively long and I couldn't close my mouth. The dentist is pleasant but doesn't allow the numbing medication to kick in before she starts working on your mouth. This experience was horrific from beginning to the end. The receptionist attitude was disturbing and disgusting. The customer service could have been better. read more

I know I know! A dentist, but this is a worthy one. I had a filling go bad. The doc drilled it and refilled it lickitty split. Pain free too! A few days after I statred getting a little ache so I stopped back in. They shot a quick xray, reassured me it can happen and explained what was happening by showing me the film. Im a medical proffesional so i really appreciated that. He said to take some OTC meds to keep the pain down and help relieve the inflammation. Anyway, I gave it a few more weeks, but sadly my tooth let me down and the nerves went the way of the Dodo. Once again I went back, the doc actually looked more disappointed than me that the tooth gave up on me. I got the feeling he was really pulling for that little guy, Anyway I needed a root canal. I've never had one, but I know the procedure by reputation so I was a little nervous. After a tiny pinch for the anesthetic, the procedure was utterly pain free. Not a twinge. Nothing. I can't even tell you how grateful I was to find out all the horror stories of root canals are dead wrong. (Well at least here they are.) So I go back in a couple weeks to get the permanent filling thingy. I anticipate smooth sailing then too. Cannot emphasize enough how great an experience I've had with this dental group. read more
