From the initial call where the person providing a quote got our email…read moreaddress wrong so he could not send us an actual quote, to forgetting about saying certain charges apply, to saying three movers and only two show up. The office was just bad. Next was the movers. 2 guys showed up who in my estimation were not professional movers instead of 3 guys we were told were coming. These guys were so slow and took 11 hours to move a townhouse that only had furniture to move since we'd moved all the boxes already. Add to it the damage they cause to our old house along with the furniture was just embarrassing. Finally when it came time to pay the bill they tried to charge for 3 guys still. When all was done I called to note the issues and was told they'd get back to me...a week later and nothing. Don't expect good things and you won't be surprised when you get them with this company. What I don't like is that every time I've gone, the payout price is ALWAYS lower than advertised. The excuse of 'fluctuating market prices' can be true, but amazingly always in their favour. The 'mixed metal' rates are over-compensated in their favour - you could hand them something that's clearly 99% gold (for an extreme example), but if it has so much as a tiny metal screw in it, the whole thing becomes about the same worth as all-metal. Their measured weights are also light. For bulk steel, the printout weight was actually lower than the scale readout (now that's brazen!) And for a specific metal type (ex. purely alum cans), I pre-weighed my load (in a large cardboard box) with 2 separate (and accurate) digital scales (both were the same) - CFT's weighed amount was about 4 kilos light, and it's not like the box they were in weighed anywhere close to that! They skim just low enough to make it look like some kind of margin of error. It's dirty and they need to be legally called out on it!

Was given a time for pick up the same day for between 1-3pm. Got a phone call as promised when the driver was on his way here. Estimated time of arrival 2:30. Exactly on time the tow truck arrived, the young man came in the house, got the keys & ownership, gave me the $275 cash & away he went with the SUV. For around $170, the two Just Junk representatives went with me for a tour of the three junk sites, grabbed everything I was getting rid of which included: garbage I wasn't going to get to put out next week; a patio table; plastic and wood shelving; and garden tools and decorations that weren't in good condition. The truck was half full by the time they left. These guys didn't judge, went at it with full force and did their job ... and for a reasonable price. Thanks to them, the old house was all ready for the new owners to move in. I'm really glad I contacted them.

When I made an appointment I detailed the items to be removed from my lower level, including a…read morestacked washer and dryer. The young and seemingly inexperienced men were late, then they went downstairs where I had taken the items out and were therefore easily accessible. Studying the stacked washer/dryer, they proceeded to make a phone call. Then they told me, although with apologies, they couldn't take it, because they didn't have any straps or tools with them???? What???? I told them I had straps and plenty of tools and could assist them if necessary. They proceeded to tell me that their manager told them not to bother...someone could get hurt or the walls could get damaged. Bottom line, they simply didn't want to do the job and it's obvious these guys were inexperienced. I realize it's hard to get good help since COVID but come on! I had to move the items back out of the way until I could have them removed. I booked "Junk Ninjas" the next day. They were $65 cheaper and had no problem removing all the items carefully without hesitation.

And in the end, they let us know that terrorism truly does begin at home, by verbally attacking us, revealing the depth of their own insecurity. They held our last possession ransom, and not for money you see - no, they were paid - they demanded to be paid - before lifting a finger. It was our dignity they were after. Beg us, they said. Beg us to bring that thing, that whateveritwas, that thing you can't carry by yourself, plead with us to have mercy and carry it off the truck and into your house. You think you are better than us, but we have the power here. And apart from all that, the two monkeys had never seen the inside of a real moving truck.
