They have oysters that are chucked right in front of you if you sit at the longer bar on the right side upon entry. There is no smoking inside and there are regular tables inside. They have oysters in a dozen, half dozen, bucket (30) and they do them Rockefeller style as well. They are absolutely delicious raw or steamed-my own preference. The owner(s) is/are wonderful! We had a minor thing happen due to something they just didn't foresee happening but they thanked us for letting them know and being kind about it and fixed things right away. If you ever have any question or issue, please just tell them and they will totally fix it right away. They are sooooo sweet and friendly. Protect them at all costs!! Naturally, I celebrated by heading to Hideaway for breakfast. While I'm not a regular, I've been visiting Hideaway for years. The original location across the street had a classic smoke-filled dive bar atmosphere, and I could tell stories all day about memorable experiences there. Those stories are best saved for another time. The new location is unquestionably an upgrade in comfort and appearance, though it lacks some of the character and smoke that made the old place so memorable. Fortunately, the things that matter most remain intact. The beer is still ice cold, the drinks are solid, and the food is consistently above average at prices that are hard to argue with. This particular morning, I grabbed a seat at the bar and took advantage of their $5 breakfast burrito (available before 9 AM). The menu lists bacon or ham as protein options, but I was also offered sausage, which I happily chose along with the eggs and cheese. I'm glad I did. The sausage was nicely rendered with crisp edges that delivered little flavor bombs throughout the burrito. Wanting to dress things up a bit, I asked for pico de gallo. My server laughed and replied, "This is a dive bar," before offering salsa instead. Fair enough. The salsa, combined with a generous squeeze of their hot sauce, turned out to be exactly what the burrito needed. In fact, it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second one to go. Then I could practically hear my doctor whispering in my ear, advising restraint, so I reluctantly passed. For those unfamiliar with Hideaway, it's also a major Miami Dolphins fan destination. Whether you're a Dolphins fan or not, I highly recommend experiencing one of their game-day watch parties at least once. The atmosphere is electric and one of the more unique sports-viewing experiences around. My only minor gripe was being charged an extra dollar for the small container of salsa, and it wasn't even pico de gallo. Not enough to ruin an otherwise enjoyable visit, but enough to earn a raised eyebrow. Overall, a great breakfast, a little nostalgia, and a fitting way to celebrate a positive doctor's visit.

The bar area has been recently remodeled; however, the restrooms look to be original. If there is any remaining funding for another upgrade, I recommend starting there. The only staff member working tonight was Jason and he was great. He honored my gift card and took great care of us. G's Lounge is definitely a local's hangout. Everyone that was here knew each other and had been coming here for years. Nancy and I were welcomed with open arms and one of the patrons even bought us a drink, what a guy! Something you need to know if you do plan to visit here is that they allow smoking inside the bar and the majority of the customers that are here come here because drinks are cheap and they can smoke inside. The bartender offered to open a large exhaust vent on the wall to ventilate the smoky air during our visit, which I appreciate, but I didn't want to impact all the other customers comfort by filling the room with humidity. Overall, I had a great experience at G's Lounge. Drinks are relatively cheap, staff and guests all were very friendly, there's a cigarette vending machine inside the bar, Jukebox, and some games to play if you're killing some time, and they have several monitors for watching the big game. We sat in a private nook in the corner which accommodated our 8 people (which the staff was fine with us adding 2 more to our 6 person reservation initially). The entire place is so well decorated and if you look around there's tons of fun details and decor. The menu is made up of a map and they provide everyone with their own personal flashlight to see it. When you order certain drinks, it triggers various special effects. At times, it felt like an adult rainforest cafe with changing sounds and lights. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience great, going all out with his special effects and overall sassiness. You get a two hour allotment and our server did a great job of updating us of how much time we had left. We will definitely be back!

They really did a nice job with this place land the theme on every square inch of the place! We had a group and got a nice private booth in the corner. Our server was the best he made it so much fun. The drinks are very on theme and they have them divided by how much alcohol is in each. Some are even made to share! Also we learned as we went that some of the drinks come with a special show! I'll keep the surprise going and not tell you which ones! They are quite expensive (over $20) and the ones I got tasted awful...but it was more about the experience! I think it is more of a novelty type place but really fun with a small group.
