She absolutely loves getting up in the morning and getting ready to go to school (compared to her crying for going to preschool!). The school is quite local and the location is superb. It is situated in a quiet area and the surrounding areas are also very quiet. I have met with the school staff on several occassions and they are really friendly and helpful. My daughters teachers are amazing and they are doing a wonderful job with my precious one. There is alot of confidence in her and she is also learning alot. Currently the school is trying to organise events for parents to be involved in the school and I am really looking forward to that!

They had a really good ofsted report and I also liked where they were based. My little one did enjoy the preschool a fair bit but somehow I feel that the preschool was not adequate enough. They do have a range of activites but after a while my little was bored and did not like going. In the beginning the staff were quite attentive but somehow they seem to have slackened and the drive to encourage children was diminishing. After two terms I was glad that my little one would leave because she was not very happy there.

At that time she was quite timid, withdrawn, wary of strangers and wasn't speaking at all - she didn't even say Mummy and Daddy. Within a few months we noticed a huge increase in my daughter's confidence and a year on her vocabulary is incredible. The staff are wonderful - they genuinely care about the children they are teaching and develop relationships with them as individuals. The activities are varied and designed to give children a view into the big, wide world as well as preparing them for school. The children are involved in activities such as cooking, music, yoga and outdoor play in addition to having 1:1 time to learn, colours, numbers, counting, writing and so on. Okay, it's one of the more expensive pre-school options in Southend and the Nursery Education Grant, when this kicks in the term after a child's third birthday, only covers half of the fee, but having investigated a huge number of pre-schools, I feel confident that I made the right choice.
