There are no staff at the airport. My flight starts boarding in less than an hour. Why suggest someone be at the airport and have flights during this time if you have no staff. They have four methods of contacting customer service, none of which work. read more

Flight was scheduled on September 05 2025, evening from Montreal to Halifax .After travelling for 38 hrs through middle east myself and my wife was tired and then they said flight was cancelled and rescheduled for September 06 2025.Air Canada arranged an stay at a hotel and I had to carry all by myself 23*4 luggages, loading and unloading at both airport and for staying hotel. Not even a single help and was tired of travelling that much hours already .Air canada said meals are at hotel and when we reached there ,hotel front desk said :"No meals". Logged a complaint and they said its gonna take 30 to resolve and then after 30 days I received a mail saying "Unfortunately NO COMPENSATION for you". After waiting for 30 days, After carrying those heavy luggages with no meal or nothing, After missing some important job related meetings and even one day job ,Air Canada said "Nothing for you". Very well, Very good Air Canada, should've win best service of the year Lol. Never ever again with them... read more

Really a zero star. When will people living in Nova Scotia realize that Air Canada is screwing you with unbelievable high airfares? The government should be working to get a dependable low cost airline from the USA to fly into Halifax. Stop protecting Air Canada just because they have the name of the country in their name. Got here way to early for our flight to Boston. It was early in the morning so what little offerings there were tempered by most being closed. On the plus side the place was nearly empty so full power up on the devices. Also the wi fi was decent enough that I was able to download a few movies and and a couple seasons of Breaking Bad for the way home. The place was clean and being do desolate I was able to get in a decent snooze before boarding. The Air Canada staff is so hit and miss. For the second time we ran across a couple agents at the counter that were polar opposites. One was all smiles and a great help while the other was as crabby as can be. Our good fortune that we hit the polite one both times. On both occasions the other agent was embarrassingly rude. Also, beware Uber and Lyft to not operate here and a ride service will run about $60.00 Canadian. Alternatively there is a buss service for a few bucks but it's a long ass trip to Halifax. read more

I am hesitant to give Air Canada too low of a review for fear that the airline gods will smote me next week on my flight to London... What a tumultuous relationship most of us have with this air travel provider. You are more likely to get a vehement response from a Canadian with regard to asking them about Air Canada than you would asking about the political issue of the day or religion. Like most of you, I have had some exceptionally bad experiences with Air Canada, Halifax. Seemingly near death in flight experiences are just the tip of the iceberg (or volcano?) when compared to being grounded in inconvenient locales due to 'weather' for days on end. Sure, where 'weather' = the pilots met their on call quotas and no longer have to show up to fly your planes... Paying for food, extra taxes are problems with the airline itself. At this particular location I have dealt with sometimes snarky check in clerks along with less than accommodating flight attendants once boarded. West Jet IS the better choice. Your one saving grace Air Canada? Free movies. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!! We were on a family trip going to Turkey when we were about HALF way there or maybe a little less then halfway, but we had to turn the plane around. One of the flight attendants apparently couldn't breathe and they said we had to go back. We were close to Scotland, Why couldn't we just land there if it was an EMERGENCY??? I missed a whole day in Turkey, thanks to Air Canada. HORRIBLE!!! On top of that the next day when we get back on the plane to go to Turkey, they tell us that the flight attendant is ok, and she had a fractured rib. Apparently, she was riding a bike and she fell and hurt herself, she went to the doctor but the doctor said she was ok. I call BS major BS because when you break a rib its painful. My question is: WHY is Air Canada letting their crew members fly in poor conditions????????????????? We pay a lot of money to these airlines to enjoy our Vacation/Holiday, and the crew member screws everything up because Air Canada can't make it mandatory to have their crew members checked out before going on a flight. I hate you Air Canada for making me miss a day in Turkey, Losing money I paid to the Hotel in Turkey, and for not giving a SH*T about your crew members. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! Extremely awful staff. I have a chronic condition and always request assistance boarding when I book as I have difficulty with mobility. Stewards still outright refused to help me stow my bag. Only nearby passengers were willing to help me. read more

Got a puddle jumper from Halifax to Goose Bay for work, after getting through customs I had to recheck my bag through Air Canada. I got my ticket and bags retagged and was told to drop it off at the bag drop machine, unfortunately my bag was not being accepted into the machine for some reason. And I had to go looking for help, and all 5 CSRs were busy gossiping together instead of making sure everyone was good. Had to break up the rock pile after couple of minutes. Once I was past airport security everything went smooth from there on. read more

Just dropped my Mom and Dad at the airport, my Dad fell and I but if you know who was working tonight please tell them thank you so much for all there help and care was very impressed with the help and service from 2 of air canada personal. They both had a suit on and this was on Wed. Dec 5 2018 around 7;30 They helped get him off the floor got there luggage all done for them got a wheel chair , they where so helpful and kind to my parents glad to see you have great service and excellent staff to help when help was needed. Just had an odd interaction with an Air Canada employee. I was standing over by the zones area because I was wearing a boot on one foot and it felt better to stand and stretch it a little. He came over and asked me if I was waiting for flight 671. When I said yes, he told me the flight was not going to board for 15 minutes and would I please have a seat. I explained why I wanted to stand rather than sit and he then asked me to stand somewhere else so I wouldn't encourage other people to line up! read more

Terrible experience. My first time flying out of the country and after checking with 4 different people to make sure my luggage was transferred to my connecting flight, they left it at my departure airport. Called their help center and they refused to answer any of my questions, imputed the complete opposite description of my luggage even after I told them and made them repeat it back to me and while I was on the phone the man hung up after I asked for instructions on how to file a document on their website. Completely rude the entire time while on the phone with me and I will never want to fly with them again. I asked simple answers like "when should I be expecting my bags" and "can you please confirm the description of my bag" and all I got was attitude. I was on hold for 30 minutes and my boyfriend was on hold on his phone for 45 just to have someone ignore our concerns and hang up. My first time out of the country and trying to enjoy myself but now I have to deal with this. Since they wouldn't give me an estimated time of when my bags would arrive, I had to miss out on a family dinner because I am at home waiting. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Spent 12.5 hours in the Detroit airport waiting for my Air Canada flight - all but two of them due to operational issues of Air Canada (the other two were weather related so they get a pass on those two). Got to Toronto to connect to another Air Canada flight and waited two hours in the reconnect line to get boarding passes to the new flight. Got on the plane at 9:15 pm and left at 11 pm - pilot said the aircraft needed to be fueled. Arrived at 2:40 am (scheduled to arrive at 1:20 pm the day before. Great news - they lost our luggage. Now waiting to return to Detroit on Air Canada. Arrived at the airport 50 minutes before our flight to Toronto. Ticket agent said our seats were cancelled because we were not at the boarding gate 45 minutes before the flight. Next flight we could get on was tomorrow so we are overnighting in a hotel. It also cost us $630 dollars to change our flight to tomorrow. And here is the really good news. The flight we were supposedly late for left Halifax 28 minutes late (check it out - flight AC 613 on August 20, 2015). In fact, we were 1 hour and 18 minutes early. Gate agent supervisor was surly. Offered no help with meals or hotels, refused to waive the ticket change fee. I have already sent Air Canada customer service a message about my outbound experience. Their response - "we take no responsibility for weather related delays." There was no concern about the other 10.5 hours they delayed us, nor our lost luggage, nor our late arrival in Halifax. It is unfortunate that a company cannot receive a 0 rating on this review service. Do not, and I repeat, do not at any cost fly on Air Canada. read more
