Not even an attempt to convince me to buy from them! The second time my fiancee and I came and actually planned to test drive a car we had found online, after 15 minutes in the lot with nobody as much as looking outside the door we decided to walk in. When asking about the vehicle the 3 salesman could not even get out of their chairs and hardly gave us the time of day. It wasn't until we said we "were" looking to trade for the vehicle that they stood up and started to try and help. The best moment was when I asked if the car comes with any warranty and the response I was given was a blunt and unexplained "yup". They may have great selection, clean cars, and a established name, but if you want to discuss price, or be treated like they want your business I would look elsewhere.

However when the car was totalled by a…read moredeer just three weeks after purchase, Harvard Auto nor Global Warranty would offer me a refund on the warranty, even though it explicitly states in the warranty agreement that a refund will be issued "on a pro-rata basis in the event of a total loss". I liked Harvard Auto at first, the service seemed good, but now I know that they are just dishonest used car salesmen and their profits come before their customers. The service at Global Warranty was even worse, taking months to even get a response, let alone an actual full refund. Stay far away from Harvard and Global Warranty.

My brother saved me from being sold a new alternator by giving me a meter to show when the battery was receiving a charge...the alternator WAS charging the battery. The issue was simply resolved by a friend. A $9.99 part which separated the connection between the car and the battery. I can't believe that I spent over a thousand dollars and still the problem was not fixed. It is difficult to accept that I could have resolved the problem with a ten dollar fix. It pays to ask around and do not blindly trust your mechanic to do the right thing. They didn't even diagnose the problem correctly. Be cautious; don't accept the 60 second diagnosis you're given: especially when it concerns electrical issues.

Satellite Taxi in Halifax, Nova Scotia has to be the most inept taxi company in the Halifax area…read more I Preordered a taxi several days ahead and I called to confirm on the pickup day to make sure they would come pick us up. Got confirmation from dispatcher they would. The driver showed up 45 minutes late and indicated he got the call (to pick us up) from the dispatcher late so he was not able to pick us up on time due to the late call and poor traffic conditions. All this after we made sure to order the taxi ahead so it would be there to pick us up on time. While waiting for the taxi, I kept calling the dispatcher trying to find out where the taxi was. His responses ranged from "it will be there in 5 minutes" to "it will be there momentarily" to "it is waiting at the front door for you" ( which it was not). Turns out the dispatcher works from home and has no idea what is happening to his taxis, nor does he seem to care. And to make matters worse, he really underestimated the fare-- it was almost twice what his original estimate was. In hindsight, I should have just used Uber. If you need a taxi in Halifax, use Uber or one of the local taxis like Casino--I saw many of them pass us as we were waiting for Satellite Taxi. Do not use Satellite Taxi.

After getting the car inspected I find out that it needs more than half the cars value in repairs, and these things were likely broken or starting to break when I bought it. After calling the business number and getting a generic voicemail I left my name and number and a "gentleman" named Tom calls me back claiming to be one of the co-owners of Top Shelf. He claims that the auto repair shop that this particular dealer dealt with likely "forgot" to put my new MVI sticker on my car and that he'd call me back. ... needless to say, he hasnt called back and is now ignoring my calls. I certainly hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
