I looked at several samples and even took some home to make a final decision of the color and size. They have been professional, great customer service, and the price was $2000 less than what the estimate was that I receive from a license floor installer. Had the displeasure of visiting this store today and was "greeted" by a man who didn't identify himself until asked. His name was Bob. He was absolutely rude to me throughout the visit. He was actively making me feel unwelcome for one and trying to steer me to buy my LVP elsewhere. I am appalled at his behavior and hope tile mart does something to mitigate this from happening in the future. After being told that I would "be in debt the rest of my life" I decided this person was not the person I wanted to deal with. Very disrespectful. He never even showed me what I wanted to see... so I left the store, offended and now still needing to shop for what I am looking for. I for one will never use this company or refer them to anyone. Had water damage due to roof leak and primary bath flooring needed replacement due to damage. Went to Airbase Carpet and Tile in Millsboro, DE looking for sheet vinyl to replace, as that is what had been the flooring. Mark Murray was salesman. He steered me away from sheet vinyl explaining it would cost as much as LVP due to having to replace wood under the vinyl, whereas the LVP could be installed right over top of the sheet vinyl already in place. Chose a nice marble looking LVP. It was installed last week by a very professional, friendly crew who did a phenomenal job of installation. When they called me upstairs to look, I was shocked at how nice it looked. I love these floors! Everytime I walk into my bathroom makes me smile. Bathroom looks brighter and is just beautifu. Bought some LVP flooring from airbase. Miguel and his crew came out to install the flooring. They had it done in one day. And it turned fabulous. We did notice that some molding around the fireplace was coming up. I texted Miguel and he came over after he was done his work for the day and fixed it. Before leaving he said if you have any other issues please call me and let me know. Him and his crew were so nice and professional. Wonderful installers. Very strange...spent an hour with the salesman and selected carpeting. Told him we were going out of town the following week and requested that someone come measure before then (cost:$50). He said no problem. Spoke with scheduler next day; measuring set for 2days later. When they didn't show up, they said there had been a miscommunication and they scheduled for a week later (when I was out of town). Rescheduled the measurement for two days later (end of the week) and was told I would get a call the evening before regarding time. Didn't get call and nobody showed up on scheduled day. Waiting for my $50 to be refunded. Don't know what the problem is with this place, but they obviously do not want to sell me this carpet. read more

ordered 3 rugs and 5 runners. told 2 weeks to get. 15 days later called and all the order wasn't in and then they would schedule to deliver the 31st. didn't like it but didn't have the choice then. now it's past delivery time the 31st and, you got it, no show. called and now they say by end of day. I didn't want to spend my whole day moving furniture, rolling and moving the existing rugs, waiting 8 hours for delivery and be told we weren't important enough to be on time. I was so excited to plan new engineered wood floors for my home, and so pleased that they were able to fit into my tight schedule and come measure. The contract arrived quickly, it looked wonderful except for the fact that one room has been left out and another room included. I immediately notified them and asked for a new contract and that was the last I ever heard from them. As I had two other projects I fully planned on having them do, I am completely confounded by their total lack of interest in my job. It may not of been the biggest job in the world, but I had good recommendations from neighbors and thought I was on my way. I am so disappointed and demoralized by the failure. read more

They put flooring in our house over a year ago. The flooring looks ok but they did a bad job on the trim, also didn't finish 2 of the doorways properly. Also 2 of their helpers got stuck in our front lawn and had to be towed out. They left and didn't even attempt to fix the deep ruts in the lawn. Will never use them again. read more

We had an excellent experience at Airbase in Millsboro. We arrived with not much knowledge and lots of questions. We were assisted by Woody who spent a great deal of time with us. At first, overwhelmed by the selection, we seemed to look aimlessly. After leaving us to browse for a while, Woody returned, asked some questions and discovered a few samples of vinyl plank that seemed to fit our needs. We decided quickly when we saw just what we wanted. He then helped us pick carpet that would compliment the flooring. Our project is now complete and was handled smoothly from start to finish. Carpet installers, Louis and Justin accomplished a herculean job as we had a houseful of furniture. Our contract was very clear concerning the amount due to the installers following carpet installation and they earned every cent. We could not be happier with the results. read more

I am use to dealing with this chain in the Northern part of the state. The difference in the service is night and day. The staff inside the Millsboro store are rude and unhelpful. They act like helping you is a major effort and are not happy to have to deal with customers. Since I can get what I want online, I don't see any reason I will spend money there again. If I do need a brick and mortar store there are other options in the surrounding area. I would buy in Maryland and pay sales tax vs. giving this store any money. My daughter ordered carpeting for two rooms and waited for the installer who was supposed to arrive at 7:30am. He never showed up. When she called the store at 9am when it opened she was told that there was a problem with delivery of the carpet. No one from Airbase had the courtesy to call her to let her know. When she asked for a refund she was informed that she had to go in person to obtain one. That was surprising since she was able to pay for it by phone. In reading the other negative reviews it appears that she may have dodged a bigger problem. read more

Purchased a carpet for 11x22 room. I was told the installer assigned was very good. On installation day a young son of the installer came to install telling me his father was busy elsewhere and he works on his father's crew. He had a difficult time carrying the carpet to the second floor. My wife and I had to guide the carpet as it was being carried. Apparently two men were required to move this carpet. After the carpet was installed I pointed out a large chip on a baseboard and a door handle that was pulled off a closet. The carpet was cut too short at the room entrance that the metal strip barely covers it. He denied any knowledge of the damage. I called the carpet store to complain and was told an excellent crew was tasked to install my carpet. I later spoke with the store manager who informed me in the installer would look at the damage and attempt to remedy it. Since I lack confidence in the installer I intend to hire a local handyman to fix the damage. read more

Installer didn't show to my 7:30am appointment today. When I called the store at 9am, I was told that they had to order more of my carpet so no install for me. And oops, no phone call from them to let me know there would be no installation. So, after waking up early to meet them at the house, and getting someone to watch my kids, I told them I wanted to cancel my order and wanted a refund. I was then told my refund had to be done in the store so they could run the card. Mind you, I paid for the order over the phone and that was fine. I arrived at the store to have my salesman not even sure of the whole story as to why I was returning it. Before doing the refund, he let me know he thought the extra carpeting MIGHT be on the truck arriving that day. Basically, I had to drive out of my way to get a refund only to have him try to talk me into not canceling. Ridiculous! I will spend my 2.5k at a store with customer service and reliability. Oh and they are missing out on my upcoming backsplash order too! read more

Lure you in with low pricing but then when the final estimate is received you will be paying a lot more than you thought the project would cost. We priced vinyl sheet flooring for our kitchen, project should have come on between $600-$700, Airbase first estimate was in that range, final estimate for same job was $1,212. Don't be fooled by the low prices. I bought $2.49 sq ft berber carpet with free install. Carpet was great, install was horrible, have to call back to get it re-stretched. Also hidden fee was to installer $272.00. It wasn't on the invoice. They charged me for carpet over concrete (all the nail stripes were already there) hard to reach access ( forth floor there is a elevator) furniture removal (there was only a couch in living room). They scratched my fresh painted walls and broke my closet door. And scratched my new threshold. They only advantage is seeing your carpet rolled out instead of a little sample. read more

Totally stay away from this business. I have never taken the time to write a review but I am today to save you the same headaches I had to endure. I decided to get my wife a new countertop for Mothers Day gift so we went to this Carpetmart on a Sunday prior to May 9th. We chose a countertop and they have Colonial Marble and Granite from King of Prussia area do the installation. On the day of installation, a tandem showed up late on a Friday smelling like smoke, speaking little to no English, filthy dirty and their only goal was to finish and get home. The countertop piece we chose was marked up everywhere and damaged. It was cut incorrectly. The installers totally tore up our kitchen taking out the original countertop and the kicker is we paid an extra $500 for them to remove it. Neither Carpet mart nor Colonial marble would take responsibility for their unprofessional installers or mistakes or damaged countertop. Grace Brown was the contact person at Colonial and it seemed that all the employees at Carpet mart were afraid of her. In order for me to get an improved undamaged countertop, I actually had to pay an additional $1500. None of them would budge on this additional price, but I had no other option but to pay it since my kitchen was torn up and unusable at the time. I was totally handcuffed. Grace said she could let me out of the contract, but they would keep $1000. Steve Vance, from carpet mart totally refused to help me on the additional costs to fix the issue. Once everything was finally completed after about an additional month of being out of kitchen use NO ONE from Carpetmart ever followed up with a call or email to check on things. Bought carpeting here, which was suppose to a good carpet. Paid 26.00 a sq foot for the whole house. I have had problems with the rugs ever since they were installed. Pull after pull. Called company and was told that I have to get rugs cleaned before anything can be done, when I am not here year round. Also got kitchen. And bathroom floors from company, they ordered the wrong floor, and expected me to accept it, should of know not to do business with them. Very disappointed!!!!! Service here was very good. Selection of products was excellent. The installation on my carpet was very good. The financing of my carpet was poor. Their financing (no interest for 2 years) sounds great but buyer beware. Even when you make payments on time, the check is not cashed in a timely manner resulting in a late fee. The financing feels predatory. I would not recommend the store, if you're going to use their financing group. The Karistan-Synchrony Bank should be avoided. Do not put yourself through the aggravation this company caused us. We purchased a very expensive hardwood floor and it was installed improperly. The installer was to come back to repair it (at our cost) , because he claimed our floor buckled due to moisture damage. We had no moisture at the time they did a moisture reading prior to installation, and 30 days later, our floor buckled. The installer gave us a huge runaround, and we had another contractor reinstall the floor. Airbase installer did not properly gap the floor, installed it with the wrong type of nails, and in some areas did not nail it at all. Bottom line, the wood was not damaged, our subflooring had no moisture damage, and the floor was easily removed with no damage to the wood, due to it not being properly installed. Airbase would not stand behind their work, all they would do was offer a discount on any additional wood we would have needed to purchase. The work was so poorly done, they were not dependable at all, and they are also very pricey. read more
