I don't know if Vertical Heating and Cooling could have completed the repairs I needed, but communication and timely customer service were not provided by Vertical Heating and Cooling. He didn't look at the evaporator coils inside or even put gauges on the system to see how much refrigerant was left. Had he done that, he would have seen the oil stained hole in the evaporator coil and there was very little refrigerant left in the system. The low pressure was the reason the compressor wouldn't kick on, it wasn't even burned out. Due to his incorrect diagnosis, the warranty company denied my claim. He actually called me a retard!

I understand the maintenance wasn't scheduled but I've never had a company turn down additional work while onsite. I also asked for a mini split quote and they didn't look at the attic access at all to see what was possible. It's a tight space but inspectors have been up there. Their solutions just didn't seem like they wanted to do the work. Quote at $15k. I talked to a contractor the following week and he said that the attic space would be sufficient for someone to go in.
