Responses by email and text are quick and they answer the phone or call back promptly. Highly recommend for plumbing and water heater service! I started off having them do some plumbing work for me to correct issues identified during a water meter replacement. They did a great job so I quoted for some more work - a leaky toilet valve, replacing the main water shutoff gate valve that leaks by, and a spigot that cannot decide whether it leaks or no. They sent thorough quotes that gave me all the necessary information to gather comps (none of which were comparable in price or thoroughness). I decided to move forward with the water heater and leaky toilet valve (when it rains it pours; AC went out at the same time I needed this job) and Tim showed up right at 9. He was polite and respectful and got right to work. He brought the new water heater in on a dolly, appropriately strapped and used a part of the cardboard box to protect the unit from the ratchet strap. When he had to run out for a part, he let me know and went to get it. The water heater install and toilet valve replacement took around 3 hours. I did a goof and moved cash to the wrong bank account and didn't have my checking account funded on the day of service. I called and talked to Audrey while Tim was still on site and she said it was totally fine to write a check that would be ready to cash on Friday (it's a Wednesday currently). Customer service is top notch and a great example of why to keep using independently owned businesses when private equity and corporate options seem like an easier option. One consideration is that of the 4-5 times Front Range Water Heater employees have been at my house, none have covered their shoes. For service professionals entering a home in all weather conditions and going back and forth to the nasty crawl space, that's a level of respect to the homeowner that I hope for every time and rarely encounter these days. So I'm not docking them for it but I do hope they consider the practice.

When Mike's people came by later, they refuted everything I had been told, cleaned the parts that I was told to replace, and showed us an internal filter that I didn't know we even had much less had to clean. This cost my small business $8,000 in parts and repairs plus several customer refunds. They took zero responsibility for the problems I experienced. When I questioned one of the owners about their continued misdiagnosis, I was treated very rudely and he fired me as a customer. He even threatened legal action if I didn't pay the full amount by the end of the week. All this after having worked with them for 3 years. Extremely high labor rates and over-inflated part pricing markups (I checked), and lots of nitpick charges. They even charge a $75 shipping fee for parts they have in inventory in their own warehouse, which is in the same small building as the shop and office. When I asked about that charge I was told "Well, we had to pay to have the part shipped here when we bought it." What? The people who work in the office and one of the field techs were nice and often helpful, but that is the only good thing I can think of to say. The owners of DNI Heating do not give a crap about their customer. You will be nothing more than a transaction to them.

However, I had told them the error code was not present when I called, so I don't understand why they didn't say "call us back when the error code comes back". Also, I told them the brand of boiler when I called, and they sent a technician who had never worked on this brand before. The technician felt bad that he was charging me for nothing and tried to get the trip charge waived, but the Precise office said no. So they get two stars instead of one because the tech was trying to make up for his company's poor policy.

Brian…read more(owner) was able to look at the job right away and there happened to be an opening in the schedule for the following day to replace her abnormally low toilet with an ADA-compliant model, replace the shower valve (that had leaked for years) and install a new hand-held shower head. Steve-N-Tyler rocked the work. There were some issues behind the wall, which they did their best to ameliorate. We'll have to follow up with a contractor for that work, but the plumbing work seems well-done.

It's so bad, it's actually funny! Sorry it's a long read, but you'll be amused…read more THE CONTEXT: We have a UV Water Treatment system that started beeping after the power outage. The beeping, which is triggered by a sensor, is usually related to a faulty lamp, but it could also be that the water is too dirty, or that the sleeve that covers the lamp is too opaque for the sensor to pick up the UV light. I replaced the UV Lamp as I had done many times before and the beeping didn't stop. So I called around and Canyon was the first one that could come. THE INTERACTION: As soon as the technician, Mr. Martinez, arrived he mentioned he had so many calls with the same problem because of the power outage and hinted that the system was fried and therefore needed to be changed - this when we were still walking down to where the system is housed! Once there, he said something about my system being old (8 years) and cheap (VIQUA) and that there was a much better one out there that I needed now that mine is fried. We turned it on and he saw the beeping problem. Said the same thing; it's fried. I asked "well, what about checking the sleeve, maybe that's the problem?" to which he answered "Oh, no the sleeve is not the problem, never is, it's just there to protect the lamp"...completely dismissing doing some actual work... It's important to note too that I had two brand new sleeves in hand. So, he asked me to unplug the system so he could see inside and confirm it was fried... once he opened it, he told me to hold the voltage meter and read the number as he "checked the power".. it was obviously 0.0... So I told him: hmmm...the system is unplugged that's why it's reading 0.0... You can imagine his face. HA! He asked me to plug it back in and then used his body to hide what he was testing... the meter read 0.0 again... and assured me the whole system needed to be replaced without a doubt... re-wiring, re-plumbing, all of it. So, he finished putting the thing back together, left our house, and less than an hour later I got the estimate: $4,277.38 for a new VIQUA SYSTEM!!! Yeah, the one he said was cheap! HA! You can't make this stuff up. THE SOLUTION: I went ahead, looked for how to videos on YouTube, and replaced the sleeve -- which was opaque -- myself. The system is now running fine and there has not been any beeping since then. CONCLUSION: I don't really need to add anything else. You can form your own conclusion. I, for one, will never be calling them back. Good thing they don't charge an inspection fee though!
