Never had a concern with airline parking (the yellow bus) until the last time when we had to watch empty buses from other companies, come and go with not a yellow one in sight It was later explained that this was due to a shift change so this is a bug that the company needs to fix But before that have never had a problem with airline parking Friendly staff, and beyond dependable. Cost them a star, but still a great way to obtain long-term parking and get to the airport in a timely manner. read more

Our go-to hassle-free parking for the DTW airport! You can't beat $15/day plus they have so many yellow shuttles running and excellent service to load and unload luggage into the shuttle. Pro Tips: 1) The parking attendant after you get your ticket will tell you which aisle to park in as that's where the shuttle will go to pick you up. Don't stray for the "closest" spot. You'll end up having to track down a shuttle with your luggage on tow. 2) The shuttle driver will give you a yellow ticket with your parking location. Keep this handy to tell the driver on your return trip. 3) Plan 20-25 min from when you park your car to getting off the shuttle at the airport. They'll pick up more passengers in the lot to fill up the shuttle, but they also don't take too long since there are many shuttles running. Parked at 4:45 AM on a Thursday and it took exactly 20 min. Two other trips, it took 13-15 min. 4) Make sure to have cash handy to tip the shuttle driver. Optional, but it's nice to thank the friendly drivers who work all hours in all weather and help with luggage. read more

Used them in the past when flying out of Detroit. This trip I lost my ticket. The shuttle driver was very helpful finding my car; fortunately I remembered my actual car location even though I didn't remember correctly what was on the ticket. Shuttles arrive frequently and drivers are courteous and helpful. When I got back from my vacation we couldn't find my car. I said "it looks like that one, but I don't have a broken window covered with plastic!" It was my car, and despite my worst fears, it was NOT broken into! I had left the drivers side window open it seems (no broken glass anywhere) and someone did a very professional job putting adhesive plastic over it. I'm so so grateful (as I had stupidly left quite a bit of stuff in my car. ) They've earned my forever business! The driver was so patient too. read more

Been using Airlines for years; not anymore. They will not take you to a hotel the night before. You get dumped off about 20 yards from the office and have to call for your hotel shuttle. We had to wait another 15 minutes for a Marriott shuttle. Our driver made us bring our luggage onboard the shuttle instead of loading in the back luggage area.Did not even get out of his seat to assist in anyway. Service has really gone downhill. We'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Smooth experience from drop off to pick up. We didn't bother making reservations in advance, which didn't seem to delay us in any way. We pulled in, were told where to park, and someone even flagged us to a spot. Shuttle followed us to our parking spot, and soon after, we were on our way to plane departures. I would give 5 stars based on past experiences, but my most recent experience is making me knock it down significantly. Is this parking lot having some sort of feud with the hotels and taking it out on the guests/customers? In years past, I would park the night before and the yellow shuttle would drop me off at my hotel. NOW, the yellow shuttle dropped me off at parking kiosk lobby and I had to wait 25 minutes for the hotel's own shuttle to pick me up. WHY? Upon my return to DTW, it took 5 minutes per customer to pay for parking. When it was finally my turn, the attendant had to sort through a large keychain of barcodes to find and select the one for my hotel, scan it, write up additional info on the receipt (?), staple the receipt to my hotel voucher, and write MORE, and hand me $10 change. This should have been a 45 second transaction, but instead I'm sitting there 5 minutes with my window down in 5 degree weather completely dumbfounded as to why this is the way they are operating. read more

Worst experience ever. We had a week long trip and were informed by the hotel we stayed at that we would only have to pay for 1 extra night and we didn't mind that. Get to the kiosk to pay and my brother was in the car ahead of us and my mom got out of our car to pay for both cars to get through. Paid Lynda (kiosk lady) $60 for the 2 nights (appearently we were parked longer than we were alloted) for both 2 cars they let my brother through and then I pull up and the kiosk lady then tells us we owe her another $30 after my mom had paid her for BOTH cars, had my mom in tears in the backseat making her seem like the bad guy that she didn't pay only for them to have to call supervisor on site to come count down her drawers and of course it equaled out so then they finally had to call the GM to review cameras and surprise surprise my mom paid all $60 and all they could say was "i'm sorry". At this point i'm sorry means nothing to us. it was late at night we still had a 3 hour drive ahead of us and my mom cried the whole way home because of how these parking attendants made her out to feel like a criminal. I usually park at a different lot but just felt they may have lost some drivers during my last parking stay when I traveled out of DTW. Found airlines parking. The rates were the same. I chose this lot because while I was waiting to be picked up by the other company, I saw several Airlines vans come and go. I parked here on a Friday and returned on Sunday night. From parking, shuttled to the airport, to being picked up and shuttled back..... everything went so smooth! I will book here again on my next travel out of DTW. Hopefully it'll be the same great experience. read more

I do not believe I've ever had a problem here before during or after the pandemic. Every driver we've ever encountered in 15 years has been courteous and professional. I like the fact that they are practically across the street from the hotel or hotels we stay at the night before our flights leave in the winter time ....so that if the roads are bad we don't have 40 mi to drive to get here. Do not have to worry about hitting a deer or a mechanical failure we are practically here and we will make our flight. read more

We did a park and fly that Airlines Parking was part of. Return from great holiday in the Gulf at 1:30am dead tired. Got bags fast and was happily surprised to find the right bus was already there (our experience with others has been very mixed). Quick drive to parking. All good until we got off bus and someone else had taken one of our bags (they must have been much more burnt out than we were because what they left behind was a lot different than ours). 3 days and a number of contacts from us later, we got a response from Airlines Parking that our bag had been returned, and they sent it to us (2 1/2 hrs one way) which was above and beyond our expectations. I imagine bag mixups like that are rare, however I have not been able to find out what Airlines Parking policy and procedures are in that event. In any case we are happy, will recommend and use them again, and we have ordered tile trackers to put in luggage on the next trip! read more

I have been using airlines parking for a number of years now. They are located just north of I-94 along Merriman Road. Their bus drivers are courteous and efficient. They pick you up at your car and take you directly to the airport. When you return from your trip, you don't have to wait at the curb very long for one of their buses to come by and take you back to your car. Discounts on their rates are available; the one I use the most is AAA. Next time you need to fly out of Detroit Metro, give them a try! read more

Nope. We booked a park n fly with Comfort Inn. You are supposed to be allowed to keep your car at the hotel and take the hotel shuttle. They overbooked and didn't have space so they gave us free park here. Wasn't my choice at all. No numbers on the parking spots so the driver just hands you a ticket that says row whatever with 50+ cars or more. Completely pack the shuttles. I mean literally shoulder to shoulder. The driver asked the one couple of the wife wanted to sit on her husbands lap. Safe? On the way back they actually had a guy standing on the steps with multiple signs saying no standing. So we get back and the driver can't find our car. The driver doesn't take the slips. Just yells out tell me where u parked.Guess he has a photographic memory. So we had to wait til he dropped off all these other folks because our car is not in the row on our ticket. Now we been on this shuttle after waiting for the third shuttle from the airport for 40 minutes. Come to find out the initial driver put the wrong row. Finally get to car after almost 50 minutes or so. For $12/day gotta be better more organized than this. Park elsewhere read more

Well got kicked off the shuttle since a family of four got on and there was only three seats left. This was very inconvenient as my wife was still on the shuttle. Had no idea where the car was because I gave her the ticket so the next shuttle dropped me off at the entrance and I had to get a room. Thanks US-last time I use you. read more

Listen, Parking used to be run by Detroit Metro, but at some point, it went private. There used to be a green lot, red lot, etc. Now its competitive and some really are better than others. There's a few reasons why I chose Airlines Parking and I'm kind of glad I did. I found these guys through Yelp, and after inquiring about their prices, location and afterwards, speed of their shuttle, I have to say, I am a fan for sure. Its easy to locate from the road, with a huge neon sign and gated entrance. The lady directed me where to park, and a man in a vest directed me what section to be in. I guess they divide the lots up by what day you park and airline, to make it more efficient for everyone when dropping off and picking up. After I parked, a man in a yellow van pulled up right behind me and was waiting for me to get out of the car so he could get my luggage loaded into the shuttle van. Amazing! No walking to a shed and waiting, wondering if someone forgot about you. Now, here's where I messed up bigtime. I don't remember if he gave me a parking tag so I can remember what section I'm in for when I return. (trust me, I don't care how smart you are, you will forget which section you are in.) Will fill you in later in my review about why it's important. Anyway, this driver was awesome. He was friendly, quick and took me right to the terminal I needed to be at. Unloaded my luggage, and even told me what floor to go on for baggage check in. Ok, so returning, here is part two of why I was impressed. I was outside waiting not even 5 minutes, and two airlines parking vans showed up at the same time! The group waiting split up and I went to the second van since I forgot where I parked, and the group was smaller in the second van. Mind you, it's midnight, and dark. The other two parties got dropped off, and I was the last one in the van. I told the guy I can't remember where I parked since I didn't get my tag from the drop off driver. He said its either one of these isles, and told me to hit my key fob to make the car light up so we could find it easier. Plus, there's some minimal but decent lighting in the parking lot to help you see at night. The driver was patient, and about 10 minutes later (even though it felt like an hour) we found my car one section over. I was grateful for his patience, help and time he took to make sure I found my car, and SAFELY got out to pay. He could (and people have) left me there with my luggage hoping the car starts. This one took the extra minute to watch me quietly and make sure I pulled away to pay before he left. I prefer these guys over the others because of their professionalism, speediness, and prices in equal amounts. I know it's just a parking lot, but I don't have time for more stress when traveling if I don't have to have it. Plus, the lot is staffed 24 hours a day, well lit. If you use your AAA card, you save big bucks! I saved $27 in parking fees. They also have a yelp check in offer and I think online coupons, but if you call or email them, they are really good about getting back to you quickly in regards to general questions or discounts available. Overall a better parking experience this time around versus others in the past at DTW. read more

Two times this year, Airlines Parking drivers went beyond their job description to help with passengers. Last night, amid the airport closing and heavy snow, our driver Ashley was such a calm presence. When a SUV got stock in the thick snow, she came out of the shuttle and helped to clear some snow around each tire. This led two male passengers jumping out of the shuttle to help pushing the SUV too. What a nice thing to witness. Then she reached my car, she came out helping me to clear some of the snow on my car. So much appreciated Ashely! In January, came back from Hawaii, our car was totally covered in snow. The driver came out and told us to get into the car and he would clean the snow for us. Unfortunately we forgot his name to praise him here. Covid must have hit these guys hard, what with the reduced aid traffic and all, but honestly after my first air travel trip in over a year, I'm thinking I should go elsewhere. I got on in a van that already had 3 riders, and I thought I may be the last. Nope. Another guy, then two more, then another. Way too tight for Covid. Mediocre mask compliance by other passengers, which seemed to be no problem with the driver. No windows open. (It was 60 degrees.) Also, not sure how to say this nicely, but the driver (or bus, or both) was stinky. (I sat right behind him.) Some sanitizing of something was in order for sure. Once in the lot, I hopped out as soon as the door opened and walked to my car. Internet coupon no longer available, (which is actually OK by me given the difficult business climate) but thought you might like to know that before choosing where to park. Over the years, I must have parked here a hundred times, and they have their ups and downs like any business. Hope it gets better. Let me know if it does. read more

I've been using this Parking lot for years but won't be using it again. I parked here for 10 days, leaving my car with a full tank of premium gas. When I arrived back the tank was empty. Yes Empty. Someone drained the tank. I had the vehicle inspected to insure that there wasn't a leak and , of course, there wasn't. The gas was stolen. Makes you wonder about overall security in this lot. Probably an inside job If you do park here watch your valuables, add a steering wheel lock. Make sure the alarm works, add a lock to your gas cap, and good luck. read more

I use Airlines Parking each time I travel out of Detroit. They offer a AAA discount which is very beneficial. Their drivers are reliable and the shuttles are timely and plentiful. I've used several other shuttle services for Detroit Metropolitan Airport but Airlines Parking is the best. read more

My dad has used this place and now I use this place. I remember parking here for probably the last 45 years and we've always had great service and no issues. Very convenient. Even if I just missed the shuttle bus from the terminal, you can be assured at one. I'll be back there in 5 to 7 minutes tops. Airlines parking is an a great and convenient location right off the freeway and just minutes from the airport. It is close as you're going to get without paying double to 2 1/2 times the price. Paid $32 for parking which would've cost me $84 at the McNamara Terminal. read more
