I didn't see Dr. Sharma but was given nurses, that simple read read off a few point about my back with no visuals of my MRI & Xrays. So I set up a third appointment to see Dr. Sharma to view my X-rays & MRI & get the Doctors advise on what my next move to help my back. As usual my third visit was the same nurses who could Not pull up my X-rays or MRI, in fact I was told their password was a year old & could not pull up my visual data to go over. I got up and left! I received a certified letter from Freedom Spine Clinic said I was disruptive to staff, which in fact is a lie! I simply told the nurse that this Clinic was no good for me! Its a 40 min. drive for me to the clinic. What a waste of time & money. Lastly the head nurse smirked & told me I wouldn't a Clinic where I could actually see a Doctor! As far as I'm concerned the staff was disruptive to me!*

This office took the time to read through my significant surgical history and take the time to listen to my issues. I have seen several specialist due to their retirement, career change, or insurance requirements. This practice is as good as any I have had. Extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. The nurse practitioner was as knowledgeable as the doctor. The entire staff was extremely professional and helpful.

A crisis in our country is the state of the healthcare industry and the toll it takes on providers. Providers can become so overworked or burnt out that they forget to see their patient as a person or have so little time that spending any extra time advocating can seem daunting. Dr. Gburek found me at the lowest point in my life. By simply listening to me, treating me like a human being, and advocating for me; he made all the difference in the world. He carefully made care plans based on my life goals like having children and factors such as my age to refer me to specialists. I had a unique case where I became medically handicapped in terms of medication. Steroids and NSAIDs cause me to develop stomach issues I had never even heard of. Stomach issues that caused me to be unable to eat regularly for nearly an entire year. I was wasting away to nothing while I waited for Cigna or any doctor to help me. I had lost 20 pounds unintentionally in 365 days. He tried to send me to specialists that could find an answer for my symptoms, but to my dismay, those specialists had no answer for me or even any ideas of how to help me. If you've ever been in that position you know how lonely and desolate it can be. It was traumatic To even be brought to that point I spent years of my life arguing with Cigna that my life mattered but, naturally, they only want to hear what the doctor thinks. Even if that doctor has not throughly completed an assessment, offered any treatments aside from medication, or been inappropriate with your care. Dr. Gburek is not one of those providers. He takes your health and goals seriously and will advocate to give you your life back. He is the only provider who advocated for me with Cigna over the last 3 years. My health struggles robbed me of my identity and I believed there was no hope. Dr. Gburek did not leave me with no hope and he did not leave me without solution. Instead, he fought for me and saved my life. By giving me a life with manageable pain, I am able to pick back up the pieces of who I used to be and who I want to become while continuing to help others as he helped me. I want providers like Dr. Gburek to know how important their care is so they don't lose sight of why they do this and continue to help people. I want patients to see this and know that there is hope for your case. He deserves all the praise and I am incredibly thankful for my healthcare hero. Experiencing a chronic health struggle can be dark but hopefully you can find someone like Dr. Gburek to turn on the light.

The injections were quick and smooth (not going to say painless because that would be lying) but if you can't have it a little pain, they have the option for a local and aesthetic. If you are dealing with back or hip pain or pain in general your body, I would highly recommend scheduling a visit through your doctor.

I had been a patient under Dr. Alissa for about six years, and I was very disappointed with the care I received during that time. I rarely, if ever, actually saw the doctor. Almost every appointment was handled by a different PA, which meant I constantly had to re-explain my full medical history, diagnosis history, symptoms, and concerns. As someone diagnosed with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Raynaud's syndrome, and other related issues, that was extremely frustrating and exhausting. Many of my lupus-related concerns were also often referred out to other doctors instead of being fully addressed. When Dr. Maria Salinas took over the practice, I came in for an appointment because I was dealing with inflammation, pain, and lupus-related symptoms. I honestly planned on finding another rheumatologist, but after this visit, I completely changed my mind. I was actually seen by Dr. Salinas herself, and I was so grateful. She already had my history, took the time to discuss my conditions with me, listened to my concerns, and made me feel heard. One of the biggest things that stood out was that she took my past experience with methotrexate seriously. I had bad side effects from that medication when I was younger, and instead of dismissing that, she discussed another option with me, Leflunomide. Today is day five on the new medication, and this morning I noticed a real difference. Before starting it, it would usually take me at least two hours every morning just to get moving because of the stiffness and pain. Some mornings I could barely stand up straight, and the swelling, pain, and weakness in my hands made it hard to even hold my coffee cup. This morning, I woke up without that same stiffness and was able to hold my cup with no problem. Dr. Salinas was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. She also allowed me to openly discuss my concerns about how the practice was run before. She explained that she has plans to improve the practice, including hiring another rheumatologist and one PA to help with patients. Most importantly, she said patients will consistently see the same provider, whether that is Dr. Salinas, the new rheumatologist, or the PA. That alone means so much because one of the hardest parts of the previous practice was seeing a different PA almost every time. I believe many of the older negative reviews reflect how the practice was managed under Dr. Alissa, but now that Dr. Salinas has taken over, I truly feel hopeful about my care here. She made me feel seen, heard, and taken seriously, and I am absolutely staying with this rheumatologist. I am very thankful for Dr. Salinas and look forward to continuing my care with her.

He seems nice and caring, kind of I guess, but has absolutely no empathy. How do you cut someone off a medication that is apparently addictive and not give them a medication for withdrawals from this med being prescribed for at least a year (more like two) and have been taking for over 20 years. This little tiny pill that I would cut down into quarters and would take 1mg a day for panic attacks AND essential tremors Just cut off. Don't get me started on my wife's nerve pain that they won't call in because we lost our insurance. Two hip surgeries and a layoff and being fired for having two hip surgeries and to cut us off of refills because we're having a bad year? Nothing but evil and lack of empathy. Apparently I'm not the only one with complaints with a three star rating. If you're older and need actual care. Steer clear. This guy decided he was retired at a young age. Referall fees and not getting sued or whatever his deal is I personally need a doctor. Not someone just wanting my money! Which I'm losing a lot of going to this guy.
