I booked 60 mins on Thursday and it was so good, I immediately booked another for Saturday. I highly recommend this place. But it's a no frills, traditional shiatsu massage by talented specialists so just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. It's in an open space, fully clothed (so where loose comfortable clothing; not jeans etc) with no oil. It's targeted pressure points and not oiled like Swedish or Thai massages. They focus on the areas you escalate to them versus a full body massage. I saw both Kieko and Aya. I'd recommend both. Keiko for more precise pressure points and Aya for stronger broader technique. Both are attentive and focus on problematic areas you raise to them and will adapt their session with an intention to address that targeted area. I have no idea if my massage therapist was a teacher or a student. Regardless, it didn't matter. She knew her stuff! Before the massage, she sat down with me and asked me if I had any pain and if I wanted her to concentrate on any areas. I didn't have any ailments at the time so I just asked for a full body massage. This older lady busted out her shiatsu skills and kneaded and worked out all these kinks in my shoulders and back. Muscle knots were released and joints were popping. Shiatsu is the type of massage that hurts so good. In the moment, you cringe in pain and then a moment later you feel bliss. After 60 minutes, I walked out of there feeling completely realigned and relaxed. I'd highly recommend Aisen. Prices are competitive and they do a great job. Went to Aisen for the first time a few weeks ago. I called the day of at 4 pm and was able to receive an appointment that evening. My appointment was at 6:15 pm and I got to the Interstate Bank parking structure at 6 pm. It's a good thing I came a little early because the parking rates started at $3 for a half hour. So I turned around immediately and found parking on the street. Only to find out after my appointment, Aisen validates for parking. Wish I had know than when I made the appointment. So I arrive at my appointment at 6:10 pm and am told, "you're early" by one of the therapist and to take a seat. So now it's 6:30 pm and another therapist finally comes out and tells me to fill out a client intake form. I could've done that while I was waiting for 20 minutes - @#$%!!! After filling out the intake form, the therapist leads me to an area on the floor for my shiatsu massage and starts massaging me. He didn't ask if I had any pain, issues, injuries, etc. and didn't even introduce himself. So I asked him what his name was and he said it was, "Chris". I informed Chris that I like my massage deep, which he did. But talk about NO personality, Chris didn't say a word until he was done. Meanwhile for at least half the hour session, the Owner/Sensei, his wife and the other therapist were talking about food for a potluck they were going to attend. That was very annoying and unprofessional in my opinion. They could've gone into their office to discuss the potluck. Overall, I would say the shiatsu massage from Chris was very good. He's direct and to the point, which I prefer. However the overall customer experience and customer service is lacking at Aisen. read more

Best massage ever. We found this place on Yelp & rang to book. They were able to fit the 3 of us in pretty much immediately. It was a room with common space with mats on the floor. This wasn't an issue with me. We kept our clothes on & they covered us up for the massages. I didn't mind that because sometimes the massage oil feels a little icky. My masseuse was Henry & he was fabulous. He found all my knots without me directing him & used the right pressure. I've always had trouble finding a masseuse that could apply enough pressure for the knots in my upper back. The 60 minutes massage went longer.. probably about 1 hour and 15 minutes & it it didn't feel too short which was great. Usually the massages I enjoyed left me feeling like I wished it went on for longer. It was $65 for the whole hour & a bit. I would definitely come back! read more

I rarely receive massage, but when I decided to, this is where I go. I was referred to Aisen from friends, as which most people are, since this shiatsu school does not advertise (much). For $45 you will receive a 1 hour massage, head to toe, finger to finger, and back and front. Although they ask you what particular area is sore, I believe shiatsu teaches "balance", hence why they massage your entire body. You may seem skeptical from the word "school", and that you will receive someone in training. But you would be wrong. I've been coming for the last 15+ years...they've massaged me through all the stresses of high school, college, grad school, and now my job. I credit much of my sanity to them and my gym. Treatments are done in one large, very clean communal room on individual mats. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, as shiatsu is done over the clothing. Cost is $55 for about 1 hour, and they validate parking. Over the years, I've tried several different therapists (licensed therapists, not the students) and they're all pretty good here, so really it's just a matter of personal preference in finding one you like. The owner, Sensei Indei, is the nicest person. Sensei's fee is higher than the others but totally worth it - I've gone to him several times and he worked muscles I never knew I had. Started getting shiatsu treatments due to a car accident almost 30 years ago. After the pain went away... I continued to go on a monthly basis to give my body a treat... basically, the 1 hour sessions just made all my problems go away. My regular therapist Wally had his own practice in Waipahu but moved to the Big Island. I have been going to Hudson Ko in particular for at least 4 years. He is a very pleasant masseur. Before every session he asks if there are any specific areas of my body which need addressing. As I do hair for a living it's usually the same areas that need work. Sometimes its just that I'm beat up from work, gym and home renovation. He knows that I need extra deep pressure and he is open to feedback and suggestions. Hudson is extremely customer service oriented and courteous. I have never had a shiatsu from Hudson that was exactly one hour. If time permits, he usually goes a little over for me--And I believe in rewarding that with an equally generous tip. Hudson is essential to my health, well-being and general maintenance considering my profession. Without a doubt you should ask for Hudson Ko when booking your next appointment at Aisen Shiatsu School. Also, do not let the word "school" mislead you. He is licensed and extremely experienced. After numerous amazing shiatsu massages at a spa in Phoenix, I learned that my massage therapist was trained at Aisen on Oahu. So in 2015 i first visited Aisen while on vacation. The center is located in an office building north of downtown (the #2 bus stops about 2 blocks away). Everyone receives their massage in one, large room, and the massages are conducted on the floor. The sensei gave me a 60-minute massage that will most likely be the best shiatsu massage of my life. Four years later (to the day) I returned to ring in the new year with another 60-minute massage, this time by Henry. My entire body was very tight from surfing the day before, and he helped quite a bit! I have been here twice, and Kimmy never disappoint. This girl is tiny, but her hands and massages are SORE!!! But in the end I feel so much better. Over the years I ignored so much of my pain that I wish I had not. My body is all a mess, tightness here, knots there, out of alignment, just overall my body is whacked. The first time I saw Kim, I was like whoa she small, how will this workout I'm big. My friends warned me about her though. From the minute she started it was grueling pain. You can tell them to go harder or less strength. Beginning to end it just feels great, after my first visit I was able to sleep on my left side without having problems. I just went for my second visit and I appreciate the fact that Kimmy took some time out and talked to me about stretches more about after the workouts and some at home. I recently moved from Los Angeles to Honolulu. Barely settled in, husband went on a business trip for 10 days and I was left with a 6m old. On day 6 morning I injured my lower back. I was desperate in finding immediate treatment. I came to Aisen Shiatsu School after reading online reviews about the magic Shiatsu can do in relieving pain. Eiko took me in and gave me a full 1h treatment, head to toe, finger to finger, especially the area where it hurt badly. Though pains are not 100% gone, I felt much better right afterwards. I went home and took care of baby as usual (thanks so much!!) The next morning I felt a even bigger difference. I would highly recommend her or the school.
