I don't know why I relax and even drift off to sleep with this type of power point massage, but I do. They also offer massages for other areas of your body, like the head and shoulders, mostly as add-on service. Clothes are kept on. They speak English here but I also hear a lot of soft spoken Japanese here. Pleasant music playing overhead even though it might be on a loop. Oasis Spa is an amazing foot reflexology destination. This is not a basic foot massage, this is actual reflexology where they focus on the pressure points in your feet. The therapists obviously know what they're doing and have training. Pricier than other foot massage locations, but the extra expense is definitely worth it! The one downside, is they are generally booked up, so getting in at the last minute hasn't been an option for the half-dozen times I've tried to get in on the same day. You really need to set something up a few days in advance. Finding Oasis Spa is a little difficult but what you been here it's easy. Basically go to Ala Moana mall, and park outside of where Chanel is. There's an office building mauka of the mall and that's where you go up to their location. What a gem of a place I've stumbled upon. My friend Eddie S. surprised me a while back with a much needed foot massage, and since then I've been HOOKED. This isn't your ordinary foot massage. I've had many-a-hands from around the world perform various massages on me, and this technique takes the cake for foot massage. Location is in the Ala Moana building: park and enter the lobby on Mall Level, then take the 4th floor. Although check-in/out space is small, staff is always friendly and facilities are clean. Bathrooms are around the corner by key only. Get the full hour reflexology foot massage. You won't regret it. First, you get the foot soak: it's borderline scalding, but let your feet adapt and it'll help to relax the muscles for what's to come. Minutes later, your specialist will begin working on 64 different regions of your foot, each relating to specific organs/organ systems of your body. If there's an area that feels especially sore, you can ask them what body part it pertains to, and they'll happily elaborate (ie kidneys, liver, small intestine, etc). The session ends with a calf massage that invigorates and promotes circulation, something we can all use after long days of work. Even if you have no idea what they're doing nor if you care, the massage feels AMAZING. The pain is a GOOD pain, and when all is done you'll walk out feeling like you just got a new pair of feet. Pricing is very reasonable. It's $60 for an hour massage, and is well worth it. I am always astounded how much strength and technique these ladies can apply in the smallest areas of your foot. I love massages and have been seriously lacking in them since I left Asia. The power of massage for improving one's health and overall wellbeing is real, and it's a shame that it's considered an expensive luxury in the USA. I believe that everyone would be much happier and mellow if massages were more affordable or partially covered by health insurance. We can change the world one massage at a time! I have been able to tell that my muscles have become more tense after forgoing massages in Hawaii. Getting a massage was a regular activity that I would partake in to relax and unwind when I lived in Asia. When I decided to finally get a professional massage in Hawaii, I looked for a place that offered traditional Asian massage because Western masseuses don't give strong enough massages in my opinion. Those who love a hard and strong massage will love Oasis Spa. I had a dark room all to myself, a perfect place to stretch out on the recliner and relax during my massage. I opted for a foot massage as well as a 20-minute head and shoulder massage. My masseuse was a petite woman, but her hands were so strong. She started off with ten minutes massaging my head and shoulders. It hurt a bit but also felt amazing. It made me fall asleep halfway through my foot massage. She ended with another ten minutes massaging my head and shoulders. I left the room feeling like a new person. My muscles in my shoulders and legs felt so much looser and relaxed. I went to this place once, and it was amazing, for sure I'd become a repeat customer. For the past month I have been trying to book again and they are SO HARD to get ahold of. I keep calling and get their answering machine. I tried the online appointment and they don't respond. Then finally I got ahold of them and they say their online system is not working...so why have it up??? And then they had NO appointments on the day I wanted. With ANYONE. Which would be understandable but being I had such a hard time even getting a live person, I gave up and I will not be coming back. They lost what would be a repeat customer for sure. This was a lovely treat on a Sunday. I called to make an appointment but you can also book online. They are located in the Alamoana building across from the main level of Alamoana center, on the fourth floor. Our appointment was for 1115 we got there around 11, checked in and waiting in the waiting area. It's a cute cozy spot. I like that they do couple treatments. When it was our appointment time we were walked into a room that had two big white chairs. We were offered tea or water and then we were able to soak our feet in hot water for about 10 minutes, then the massage began. They make sure to focus on all 64 points of your feet. The 60 minute massage includes a calf massage as well. They use a nice soothing lotion that makes your skin feel buttery soft. To end the experience they wrap your feet in hot towels. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. They offer kamaaina discount as well. The total for both of us was $122. Great deal! Can't wait to go back. I personally did not get the reflexology massage. I gifted a 1 hour Reflexology Massage with an additional 30 minutes neck, shoulder, and head massage. I simply made the appointment online. I got an email and voicemail message confirmation. Upon arriving, the staff was very welcoming and we signed in and provided our information for contact tracing. They took our temperature and hand sanitizer was provided. I was able to join in the room. We were offered a beverage and opted for hot tea. The therapist was very friendly and based on the feedback, she was very attentive and provided the right amount of pressure. As I sat on the side doing some work, I did notice the other staff members sterilize each room after each client and all the tools that were used were sterilized with some detergent or cleaning product and soaked and rinse with hot water. The door was slightly left open during the pre-treatment and later closed for privacy after all the other equipment was removed and the main session began. Overall, we felt safe coming here and the massage was amazing as always. (We are repeat customers). Parking is available. Just park at the Ala Moana Mall and walk over. They also accept credit card payments. Just like any business, a Face mask is required. No mask = No service. If you cannot wear a face mask, then use a face shield. But it's beneficial. Sorry that didn't sell me on it. However, I finally stopped being a scaredy cat and made an appointment online since you get a discount for booking online. You can also walk in or call for an appointment too. If you send them an email with your requested appointment time, they respond pretty quickly. The most that they can accommodate at one time is 4 people at a time with advance notice. They do also provide kamaaina discount. They're located on the fourth floor of the Ala Moana Building which is the tall building across the parking lot from Genko Sushi. I think the building does have parking but I just parked at Ala Moana and walked over. The office is small and only had a couple of rooms. They did offer me hot tea to drink while I waited during the massage. If you're looking to be pampered a spa experience, this is not the place for you. You sit in a room that's dimly lit in big love seat as the masseuse applies pressure to your feet. I will say that the pain was tolerable for the most part. The masseuse tells you which body part is related to the various pressure points on your feet as she massages them. There were some very painful parts which are painful for most people, like kidneys and liver. The lady who massaged my feet was really nice but spoke very little English. I don't know how that nice Japanese petite lady could put so much pressure and cause so much pain. Overall, a very nice experience. My feet hurt afterwards but the next day they felt great! I would highly recommend giving reflexology a try. They did tell me that you need to consistently go if I wanted to see results. I honestly don't know how this place got such high ratings. Perhaps the guy I had was new? But he basically just washed and rubbed my foot in the same place over and over again throughout the whole process. I wish he had a pumice stone so at least he could've exfoliated my foot. But not one pressure point was addressed. He did not ask if I had any areas of concern. Even when I asked for a deeper pressure and told him that my heels and the side of my foot needed to be addressed he kept rubbing back and forth the same area. Over and over again. The same area. Not even touching any areas of my concern. I felt like he didn't care nor did he care to be at work. When he spoke he stopped working. I have had Thai, shiatsu and foot reflexology but this felt like my kids running me feet. Novice with no expertise. Basically a complete waste of my time and money. They have some very good reflexologist like Niwa there. Niwa is capable of applying deep pressure to foot areas. She can also feel some of your problem areas too. It's hard to find really good reflexologist anymore on O'ahu. I would definitely recommend Oasis Spa to anyone out there. read more

Tomoko was super friendly and a really personable person. During my massage, I was the only person in there so we struck up a good conversation throughout the massage. Unfortunately, because of this I wasnt really able to relax and enjoy my massage. The location is good with plenty free parking away from the mall. The decor is very bright and airy. Personally, I like Kenko's dark interior. It gets me more relaxed. The massage itself was really good. It didnt hurt as much as kenko, but I think I like the pain more. I should have asked more pressure, so my fault. All in all, I would definitely return. I like that she made suggestion to improve my health and could tell from massaging my feet, my problem areas. Just a quick update. I've been adding a shoulder/neck massage to my foot treatment....which has been FANTASTIC! My therapist, Yuki, has strong hands and knows just where to focus to ease my usually tense neck/shoulders. I actually cannot handle the really hard pressure, I'm whimpering the whole time...but they will adjust the pressure upon request. If you're like me, you'll wriggle and wince as they massage the knots and grind up the lactic and uric acids that form crystals in your feet. But once you get those out, you'll feel like you're walking on air. Since it is reflexology, when you're feet feel good the rest of you feels good and it certainly does. My husband has been going here for years and turned me onto it after moving back to Hawaii. This place will put you in heaven and I plan to revisit every two weeks. When my therapist started the (Taiwanese style) reflexology, I writhed with pain but I'm a trooper and I took it, telling myself it was good for me. But that was not needed! After a few minutes, he asked if the pressure was good and I admitted that he could lightened it up a bit, and he did (reminding me to let him know at anytime to adjust the pressure.) From there on, for 45 mins, it was complete bliss! I lightly dozed off for almost the entire session! They have two private rooms and two rooms that hold two customers. Reservations are highly encouraged. I walked in and got lucky cause I called the night before asking about the next day's availability. When I arrived the next afternoon, they were all booked up but had one cancellation. Great friendly service! They offer hot tea and a pillow behind your back while enjoying your reflexology massage! This place is no-frills but very sanitary, airy, yet private and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for those who have had a long day on their feet and need major reprieve! And while a nice 45-minute reflexology session is my usual choice, it's always a 20-minute neck and shoulder add-ons that are a must for me. I prefer very firm and deep massage, but if you're a lightweight you can simply tell your therapist to go easy on the pressure. As the only salon in Hawaii that is dedicated to foot massage, Oasis Spa uses Taiwanese style foot reflexology methods to ease the tension and tiredness from your feet. What always surprises me is how they can tell what's happening with the parts of my body that correlate with different areas of my feet. Kim, Kaori and Fumiko have been excellent. Located on the 4th floor of the Bank of Hawaii building near Ala Moana, at 1441 Kapi'olani Boulevard. Easy parking either at Ala Moana or in the 4th floor, right outside their door. I had a very interesting experience. This was my first time doing reflexology. I found them via Yelp and was very happy to have a positive PLUS experience. I made a one hour appointment and saw Miwako. She soaked my feet in hot water, gave me a cup of tea and proceeded to massage my feet with a lot of pressure. She uses her knuckles - it hurt, but you can let her know if the pressure is too hard. Very firm pressure, very good because she says the pain is the release of toxins. After about 45 minutes, Miwako told me that I may have digestive problems or sensitivity; pain in my right shoulder from computer work; and my "brain" hurts because it seems I have a lot of stress. Interesting - pretty spot on for me and I didn't even talk to her until she was almost done. So she read my problems through my feet!! She told me to drink a lot of water because a lot of toxins were released from my feet. Apparently true, my feet swelled up the next day along with my ankles getting swollen although it didn't hurt, and I felt well rested and energized. An hour is $65 but they give you 10% off. I am not sure I can even write this review because I am so relaxed and my body feels like jelly......all because I just finished a foot and shoulder massage at Oasis Spa. All I wanna do is curl up under the covers and take a nap. (sigh...) The Oasis Spa is on Kona St. on the 2nd floor of a little, two story building next to Bank of Hawaii. This building also houses Tattoo Hawaii, Best Printing and Ailana Shave Ice. Parking is easy as they have their own lot. This spa is simple, but very comfortable. Hubby & I each had a foot and shoulder/neck massage. We were immediately seated in big, comfy, leather chairs and brought a tangerine scented warm water soak for our feet. Someone even gave me a blanket for my lap, as well as herbal tea. I had not even been touched yet and I was already settled into a zone of relaxation. They started us off with the neck and shoulder massage. Who knew that just hands, forearms and elbows would turn me into a super relaxed and snoozing woman. After who knows how long.. (hey... I was dozed off) they moved to start working on my feet. Well, at this point, I was no longer sleeping since knuckles digging into your feet kinda hurt! I was alternating between pain and blissful relaxation. By the time it was over I was so relaxed and happy that I wasn't even sure I could walk down the stairs to the car.
