I would give this a 5 star, but their prices went up after 5pm recently. Now it's a 6 dollar flat rate after 5pm which is still reasonable, but it was 3 dollars only a few months ago. Great place to park if you want to visit Little Tokyo and if you do just stop by for less than 2 hours, it's only 1 dollar per hour for the first two hours before 5pm. It's right across the street from the new Kinokuniya which is super nice. Parking lot feels pretty safe and they do have security driving around in their own car. It's located next to a bunch of legit businesses and high-rises so it doesn't feel sketchy or unsafe. Great parking spot for sure. I still wouldn't leave anything valuable in the car though. read more

While this is legitimately my favorite parking lot in Little Tokyo for convenience alone, the one thing that frustrates me the most despite multiple other irritations about this lot is the charging stations. I have made countless repair notices via charging apps, have emailed DOT at the address listed to email for concerns, and even mentioned it to the guy in the booth who works for the independent management company that has nothing to do with the charging station...but to no avail. This was a great lot pre-covid. Everything worked, the charging stations, the automated ticket machines, the surface level park was still an actual park. Ever since the covid, there hasn't been a single day when all the charging stations worked. It started with only one or two that were broken, but now it's consistently been 5 or 6 with only 2 working stations. And it's funny, one will get fixed while 2 others that were also broken remain broken. Adding to the frustration is that all the spaces are compact sized and no one drives Priuses anymore...it's always a Tesla parking in 1 and a half spaces using a station meant for a 3 space. It would be one thing if DOT just decided to do away with half the chargers and repaint the lines with 4 distinct spaces, but they can't even do that...so you're doubly frustrated driving by seeing an open charger but can't access it because the cars in adjoining spaces are both over the line (and not because they parked crooked, but because the space is too small)...and then the next time you come in and park in that previously available half-space, only to learn that the station is actually out of service. I get that they're free and the city is hemorrhaging money, but I'd prefer if they actually charged if they reliably worked. Other cities manage to maintain reliable public charging stations, why can't LA? read more

NO APPLE PAY. One of my greatest downfalls, but they take debit and other cards and cash. So just keep that in mind. This is my go to parking for Little Tokyo and honestly, I want to semi gate keep it so that it doesn't get fisted with the crowds that are already there, but alas. It's nice that there's a security at the entrance area, but do keep in mind that the stairs you walk up feed you next to a bus stop and potentially some homeless encampments (depending if it's cleared up or not) so there's a lot of trash and questionable feces and urine. But that's what it's like in LA, what else is new. Parking can get a bit tight and fisted here depending on how poorly others park or if it's particularly busy, but it's by far one of the cheaper options to park in for Little Tokyo and very close to the Japanese Village Plaza. read more

One of the more, if not the most, affordable parking options in Little Tokyo. I believe it's super cheap under 2 hours, although it starts getting more comparable to nearby options after you go over the 2 hour mark. However, I've never had any trouble actually getting parking in this structure and sometimes it beats just driving around in circles trying to find an open meter nearby @_@. Every time I head over to Little Tokyo, this is the only parking spot I enjoy. It's not super dirty and I haven't had a had bad experience here. I always pay in cash as I head out. Parking in Little Tokyo and Arts district can be painful. This is a good parking lot and I've posted the updated rates at this time. Current rates are $1/hour for two hours, $3 for the 3rd hour and $1.50/15 minutes after the third hour. If you're staying for four hours or more, then there is a lot across the street at 140 N Judge John Aiso St that is $10 flat rate (after 5pm and on weekends). IMO, these two lots are the best options in the area to park. read more

Prior to a concert at the Moroccan Lounge, we had read that this lot offered the best proximity. It actually ended up being half a mile from the venue. A little warm before the show, cooler and a little sketchy on the walk back before getting to the restaurants in Little Tokyo. Understanding where to gain access to the street or back to the lot is confusing, as they don't want you walking where the cars come in or out. We did it anyway, as rookies. The final cost was a $3 fee and 5000 steps. I did see a sign close to the lounge offering parking for $5. The lot was clean and there was an attendant in the booth. read more

By far one of my favorite parking lots that I go to whenever I'm visiting Little Tokyo. It's reasonably priced and there's always parking available. Easy access to get in and out of the lot and it's very close to all of the businesses in LT. Some of the parking spaces can be narrow but there's plenty of spaces to choose from. There's even a charging station for electric cars. Fun Tip: In certain areas of the lot, if you look up at the lights then you will see a hidden image. Check it out! read more

I've had excellent experiences with this place in the past but last night I learned some hard lessons. You *must* enter after 5PM to get the flat $3 dollar rate. If you go in at all before, you're on the hourly then 15min rates. I got in 16 mins before the time cutoff and ended up paying the whole $14. Also, we happened to leave before 10 but almost stayed later. Signage says that they'll lock up overnight cars (still there after 10PM) and you'll need to get your vehicle next day in the morning. Be careful with your late night visits! And if you end up there before 5, watch your clocks. First two hours are super cheap. Third is kinda expensive. Anything past those, the charge adds up ridiculously fast. read more

This is usually the cheapest parking lot in little Tokyo but read the sign carefully- at a certain hour (I think starting 4 hours?) the price will start increasing dramatically and it'll become the most extensive parking lot in little Tokyo. If you plan to be there 3/4 hours or less though, would recommend! I never have a problem finding a spot here. Their pay machine is broken so everyone has to pay at the exit so there can be quite a line going out sometimes. I don't think there is a ramp up for pedestrians (but I didn't look that hard) or any elevators so may not be ADA friendly! read more

For the time saved looking for metered street parking with exorbitant prices, it's a no brainer to park here during your trip to the Little Tokyo restaurants and shops. Even though the last time I parked in this lot was over 2 years ago, prices are still good and inflation-proof. Each hour for the first 2 hours is only $1, then it's $3 for the 3rd hour and $1.50 for each 15 minutes afterwards up to a daily max of $14. The best deal is the $3 flat rate after 5pm. Parking lot is clean, spacious and has both non-covered (upper level) and covered (lower level) spots. This lot also has 1 EVgo charging station (50 kW) and 6 free charging stations (7kW) with 4 hour limit. There is 1 pay machine that accepts both cash and credit or usually an attendant in the booth who can assist you. read more

Little Tokyo is a must place to visit when coming to downtown LA. But you have to get your parking situation figured out before you get there. I settled on this parking lot due to the reviews ( thank you Maggie!!) and what I got from all of the reviews was it was 1) close by 2) not too expensive 3) the parking facility is nice and easy to get in and out. 4) be careful of the people hanging out by the lot. It was all of that and I was even able to get a spot in the shade - upper level. I also noticed that a LAPD squad car was just a few yards away from me. That made me feel even better. Now here is when it got unexpectedly sketchy. I took the stairwell up to the street level and when I opened the door, I found myself surrounded by homeless people. No, they did not say or do anything to me. I just got startled and felt momentarily unsafe. I walked confidently around the ones sleeping on the sidewalk and crossed the street. So here's my first pro-tip, don't use the stairwell or the elevator. Just walk up the ramp to get to the sidewalk. Do this especially at night. Also, I forgot to validate my ticket at the restaurant for the parking discount. And That's the other pro tip. read more

Clean, half covered above ground parking structure that has always either had a functioning machine to pay on the way out or a person at the exit gate. [Review #500] 2020 Yelp 100 Challenge (1/100) The Aiso Parking Lot is my go-to parking lot whenever I go to Little Tokyo; it's just a block east of the town & convenient & easy enough to avoid traffic, especially on New Year's Day. I used to pay anywhere between $10 - $20 for a couple of hours for the parking structures in Little Tokyo. We found this lot on Waze & it's the best kept secret, or at least it used to be. It was quite crowded today & we got there before 11:00 AM. I had to park on Level 2 when I usually park on top or Level 1. It's $1 for the 1st 2 hours, $3 for the 3rd hour, $1.50 for every 15 minutes thereafter, with a daily max of $14 & a $3 flat rate after 5 PM. What a deal! =) They're open pretty late: Mondays - Thursdays: 12:00 AM, Fridays - Saturdays: 2:00 AM, & Sundays: 10:00 PM. Once in awhile the parking payment station is either out of order or takes a couple of tries before your cc is accepted; we had to snap a pic to show payment proof. There's also homeless people loitering & asking for money... no biggie since they don't seem to be aggressive. I may give a couple of bucks when there's only 1 person so that we're not crowded (there seems to be an expectation that when you give to 1 that you should give to all within the vicinity :-|). I'm a fan, especially since it's next door to my fav brunch spot, JiST Cafe. Highly Recommended: Aiso Parking Lot is Little Tokyo's best kept secret. read more

A good option for parking when visiting J-town. At night I would recommend traveling in a group due to a few tents nearby. I haven't encountered any issues but it's best to err on the safe side especially at later evening hours. Not much to say other than it's less than a block from J-town, inexpensive parking, clean lot, and easy in/out. It's a bit of a hidden parking lot gem. read more

The machine was kinda broken and only accepted cash but it's supposed to take card as well. Cheap parking, plenty of spots, and has a security guard patrolling.
