I always sit at the bar because the bartenders here are second to none. They multitask effortlessly, meet customer needs directly, and make sure everyone stays safe while having a good time. Special recognition goes to Katie, who always makes me feel valued. She and Diana check in on me, make sure I've eaten, and even know when to cut someone off--because they care more about your safety than your tab. That's customer service at its finest. The team behind the dream is incredible. Shelly, the manager, runs a tight-knit group of trusted bartenders--Katie, Diana, and Sarah--who keep everything flowing smoothly. Stopped here after a range day event with my coworkers. There were about 14 of us. Seating was accommodated immediately. Unfortunately there was nothing spectacular about this AJ Gators, it's a pretty standard carbon copy. I did notice that it one seemed to be 2 waitresses. We ordered a bunch of apps and a couple entrees. The main thing that raised an eyebrow for me was sitting so close to the drink station, tennis balls at the bottom of all the chairs, margaritas served in normal glasses, and the complete lack of flavor and over frying of the wings. I couldn't eat them and sent them back. The waitress didn't seem too happy about it, she didn't understand initially what my issue was until I flat out said "they just don't taste good at all". We were in the mood for wings and were disappointed when we were told that Moyock Pizza Kitchen was out of wings (what the heck!?) and it was still early in the afternoon. We decided to try A.J. Gators, based on our experiences with the one in Virginia. There was a big gang of us, so we ordered 2 dozen wings (hot & Buffalo), 2 orders of nachos and on Mac & Cheese burger. The wings were decent, the nachos were generous but soggy and my grandson enjoyed his burger. I love their homemade ranch dressing! I will try them again in the future, just based on their service (we did pickup and everything was accurate) and availability. read more

Disappointed in the draught beer selection. These days with the popularity of micro breweries and tap houses, I'm surprised this place hasn't evolved into more of , at least a tap room style. I've been going here for many years and have seen very little change in their offerings. It will do in a pinch, but definitely not a destination. read more

Been going in out AJ gators in Moyalk for about the last year. Most of the time the food's not too bad, service is good. today ordered a large meat lover's Pizza talk about just disgusting, wasn't cooked all the way through, had a ton of sauce. Had two slices brought the rest home, just had another bite and tossed rest of the trash cannot recommend. I've had the chili cheese steak in the past, light on meat heavy on bread, but better than the pizza by far. read more

I came with a friend to watch the UFC fight on a Friday night. We checked with the staff the previous day to make sure it was going to be playing. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. The manager explained that since they would have to pay commercial prices for the game (1k), they would not cover the fight and do not have intentions on covering any special event because it's not worth it to them. This establishment has gone down hill since the last time I came. They have done remodeling and removed all pool tables. The staff were rude and seemed to be sitting down and hanging out at tables instead of serving their customers. One waitress went outside to a car with her friends 3 times in one hour that we were there. Won't be back and I do not recommend wasting your time. What a shame. read more

For starters I ordered the steak bites and they didn't come with sauce. When we received the sauce, it was GROSS. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with A1 sauce, it was great but could use more A1! The fries were AWESOME. My boyfriend ordered a burger and really it was mediocre. The Mac & Cheese side was flavorless! The waiter was tired but really funny. I thank her for that and the smiles! So really the cheesesteak and fries were the only good things! I ordered ten wings to go home with thinking I could snack later, and the chicken was just very old. Very disappointed! I've been here a few times and each times the food was great . I've tried the mushroom Swiss burger , cheese sticks everything was great . The service was also amazing each time I went in . I think this is by far the best AJ gators I've been to. read more

Definitely a chain restaurant that has a hometown feel in this area. The food for the most part is decent, they could use some improvement on their side dishes though. Their fried chicken boneless wings are my standard go to and they have a slider plate that I wish you could mix and match the 3 different type of sliders. been there 2 previous times 2 strikes how ever my son in law said try it again well most pleased waiter C new but very pleasant and did a 10 rating . she crab soup one of the best . Ruben plenty of sourcrat ?? would have prefered rye bread . lava cake 3 dips of ice cream great value How ever my only suggestion 4.25$ for a 16 oz american beer . not a good value . 3.00 $ most it should be . I was having a thank you dinner for 25 Boy Scouts plus parents for appetizers and pizza. Shelly and her outstanding staff did such an amazing job of getting everything done for our get together. We finally ate at this place and it was meh I had the gator burger it was the most flavorless burger I've ever had needless to say I didn't eat it. Sweet potato fries where ok. Hubby had the mac n cheese burger and that was also meh... Definitely not impressed with this place and will not be coming back. Just mad I spend money here. read more

This AJs had great pizza but not the best service. The waitress gave us Parmesan cheese instead of the requested garlic but the pizza was delish! It's also great to be able to have a nice cold beer on tap if you prefer . We will def be going back for more but maybe takeout would be better . read more

We are frequent visitors to other AJ Gators locations in the area. We will not be back to this one again. It took our food 40 minutes, appetizers came out same time as food, my husband's sliders were four buns stuck together, the portion of fish shown below was all that they served us at a steep price of $15.99. It is usually a large portion so well worth the price. To top it all off, we were placed at a table adjacent to the pool table-so close that the people playing actually asked us to move our drinks on the table so they could extend their stick far enough to make the shot!! Unreal. Sadly, it is the only sports bar in the area so they will likely continue to get by with mediocrity. read more

I've been to this place ONCE! It was meh! Every time I pull up to the NFCU ATM, there are a few of their servers outside smoking right at their front door. I can care less if you smoke. But a whole group and they all are rude. Just looks bad for an establishment that serves food! You say hi & they look at you all stupid. I can only imagine that's how they treat their customers. So I'm good. I can keep driving into Chesapeake to eat out. read more
