Mr. Lois did not distribute all of the assets in my father's account. When I pointed that out to him, he incorrectly distributed the remaining assets. Further Mr. Lois has ignored my last 3 emails and voicemail asking him to change the mailing address on my father's account. In short, If you want somebody to distribute your assets correctly and/or be responsive to your children after you die, I would look elsewhere for a financial advisor.

I went to Egert Law to set up a Trust. The result was a professionally done binder explaining all…read morethat the Trust involved. The rest was up to me to make sure my assets were named under the trust, which I then did. I paid my (expensive) bill and thought I was done. NOPE. Months later I got a follow-up letter reminding me to put my assets into the Trust, and then follow-up letters to the follow-up letter, and then a phone call following up on the letters and finally a request to stop in the office. I guess they really cared about my Trust, right? NOPE - I received a BILL for each letter and phone call! I stopped in their office with proof that I had my assets in the trust and asked about the bill. I was told that not only do they charge for the time to write the letters ($54 each - 20 minutes to put my name on a form letter?? Debra Arnold should learn to type faster!) but I'd be charged for the time I was in the office telling them I didn't need the follow up letters/calls. When I asked them to stop with the letters they said they'd need that in writing. I asked for the form but they refused saying they needed to send it through the mail. Yup, I'll be getting ANOTHER letter that I don't want and will be charged for! I'm not sure if all lawyers are like this, but I find this to be unprofessional and unethical. No wonder lawyers have such a bad reputation! Just a warning for anyone looking to use Egert.
