Apparently after having my taxes done for years at this company, my name was on "the list" to receive a letter stating they could no longer keep me as a client. Well I never got the letter so when I called to set up my yearly appointment, I got unceremoniously dumped! The receptionist said, " Oh, you were on " the list" and should have received " the letter". So sorry". If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Initially the place was very responsive in setting up an appointment early in 2020 for my 2019 taxes. Steve I believe the gentlemans name was. After meeting with him, my wife and I liked his professionalism and were excited to have a professional CPA to work with our finances. Fast forward to about a week later, Steve called me to advise that there was an error in my 2018 taxes that he would have to fix, so I would have to pay for an entire new tax prepartation. I didn't think this was fair and I advised him that I would rather submit an amendment myself through the software I had previously used and paid for. I could tell he was not happy about that, as he was short the rest of the call and said he would be reaching out shortly. After that call in January the guy completely fell of the radar. Then Covid hit and after a few calls unreturned I thought that maybe he just needed a bit of time with everything going on, "but hey the guy was a pro and I was in good hands", I thought. Leading up to the 2020 deadline I tried again numerous times to contact him and had no success. The tax deadline came and went, I had to incur fees for filing late, and much worse I was forced to paper file which has now resulted in a huge mess with the IRS as they cannot seem to find my return. I trusted this person/business and got burned and completely "ghosted". I really wish I could say better for this business but that was my story. Hugely inconvenienced and dissappointed. read more

Have been working with Jossilyn and Jerry for a couple years now and overall have had a good experience working with the team.

This firm came highly recommended on our neighborhood Facebook page, so I called and met with Steve early 2019 before COVID happened. My business taxes were not completed until July and then my personal September. During that time I tried to contact Steve repeatedly through email, like 10-11 times no exaggeration, and never got a response! I wanted to communicate with my accountant. Isn't that what they are there for? I had questions, and then I just wanted to know when to expect things done. I have no idea to this day if I did something wrong? Then I got a 2000$ bill! WTH!!!!! No warning, and no explanation. I tried to contact Steve again asking for an explanation of the bill. I wanted to understand what I was being charged for. I never got an answer! Ever! I consider this highly rude and unprofessional. I had high hopes that I had found a reputable business, and unfortunately this is not it! I paid my bill. This year I thought I'd reach out again just to see if I was reading this wrong. I emailed Steve, hellos, friendly, shared some tragedies I'd suffered this past year, and asked about getting my stuff to him, and questioned the price asking if this is the rate always, or was that for a new customer?......cricket, cricket, still waiting. I've moved on. Please don't go here, they really do not care, at least not in my experience. read more

My fiancé and I were referred here to get my taxes done. I called to make an appointment and didn't have the name of the accountant my co-worker referred me to. The receptionist was very unwelcoming and acted like I was bothering her by calling. But, I got his information and called back and again, same reaction. This year I decided to go a different route with my tax return. Unfortunately I have had some rough experiences going with some larger named tax agencies. I needed to go over some specific details and David was able to provide great advice at a convenient speed and efficiency. I have always taken the cheap route and done my own taxes, which one might think that I easily could have done since I have an MBA (it shouldn't take a master's degree to do your own taxes, right?!), however, that sadly isn't so. I ended up having an unexpected issue with my federal tax return last year, so I knew that it was time to reach out to someone with a much greater level of knowledge of taxes and accounting than myself, so I turned to the first five star accountant that I could find on Yelp that was close to me, and I'm so very thankful that I did. David is my new guy and is excellent to work with! He spent quite a bit of time going over things with me, and now I feel like I have a much better idea of what I need to be doing all year around for my small business to be in good standing with the IRS.
